OP has been updated (reminder, I'm unavailable tomorrow so the next event will be a week from tomorrow). I've also submitted a thread on the AC forum to attract some more racers, they have to approve it before it goes live but hopefully we'll see some new faces start to trickle in. 👍


EDIT: Looks like the thread was approved, hope to see some new racers trickle over.

Welcome! They're strict on the official forum and want all discussion to be held on an exterior forum (like this one) so they don't have to worry about moderating it. I'm still figuring out what's allowed, but adding at least the car/track combo and date in the OP should be allowed. I'll get that taken care of. 👍
 
Thanks dude, hard to try and keep up with multiple forums. Looking forward to next week, apart from the car, need to give it some luvin'. Anyone got a descent setup that I can start with , I always feel poor on brakes and low speed corners in this car.

Welcome! No special requirements, just show up Saturday at the time listed in the OP and enjoy some good racing! Look forward to seeing you on track.

I haven't had a chance to yet, plan to get some practice in tomorrow night. I could probably open up a server if others want to join for some practice.
 
Hi to all...I accidentally find this forum and site...I like to drive AC,,but I am little bit fed up of servers where I finish race on start...you know what I mean :) I am to old for that :)....so , I do not have much time for this but, sometimes I really like to drive ( I am great fun of races any kind, F1, Le Mans series, GT, etc... )..Yes, I am not fast driver at all, but , sure , I can be gentleman :) and I want to enjoy to race, not to finish first over dead bodies :) :)...sorry for my English, but I hope you understand me....Hope I am on right place ?! :)..So if I can and find time, I should like to join you to race sometimes...So, I am from Europe , and I am not sure about time when races starts, are servers open 24/7 etc..what I have to know more??/Hmmm I think I need "red pack" to buy...So, thanks for any answers :)

Welcome! I think you've found the right place, we don't take things too seriously but we race clean and friendly and usually make it through turn 1 without issues. :) The server opens at 9:30pm GMT, so depending on where you are it will be night time for you but hopefully not too late! We don't have a 24/7 server right now, but maybe in the future if/when participation grows. You'll need the Red Pack for this event but, it's worth it though. Look forward to seeing you on track!

Thank you for so fast answer.. :)..I am from central Europe, so races start about 11 before midnight for me? Am I right? I am little bit confused about that, (GMT, CET, AM , PM grrrrrrrrrr :)...and when server is open for practice? Do you have any page with time listing, results or something?

What country/time zone are you in? I'll see if I can figure out the time difference. The server opens at 5:30pm EDT with a 20 minute qualifying session so the race actually starts around 5:50pm. The first post in this thread lists the time and race details, the results are linked to in the third post. 👍

Looks like you're five hours ahead of me, so the server should open at 10:30pm your time and the first race will start at 10:50pm. 👍

Got a bit of work to do and have to hit the driving range but I hope to get in a bit of practice and make the race this afternoon. I like the track, think it'll be great for racing but haven't tried the car yet. I've got some kind of bug where I can't adjust my cockpit seating, going to try and sort it out with an integrity check and/or hit the internetz for a solution.

EDIT: The glory of the internetz:cheers:. Seems I might be on a different view than normal, some kind of fixed cockpit view that doesn't allow changing the eye position. F1 or the view change button should fix it!

How much ABS and TC can i apply?
I have problems with braking... The wheels are incline to lock very easy and after 2/3 laps they are ruined...
However this car is very hard to drive for me... But i will race even if i will be the last on the finish... :)

My usual lap time is about 1.49-1.50... My best lap is 1.47.194... i think really slow...

I haven't driven the car yet but if you are using a wheel try changing the brake gamma setting to between 1.50 and 2.50. Not sure it it works with a comtoller or not. I use that setting for many of the no ABS cars.

I use a G27... i will try to change the settings of the brakes...

Edit: i reduced brake gasmma from 2.40 to 2.00 and adjusted the brake bias from 70-30 to 65-35... WIth a bit of practioce now my best lap is 1.46.595 and the pace is steadily between 1.47 and 1.49... I will be last on the finish but i will have fun... :D

You can run as much/little TC/ABS as you want, no restrictions. 👍
 
And the server is up. First race will start in about 20 minutes.

For the new guys, Teamspeak info can be found in the OP.
 
I can't see the server on my end. Tried all the search options I can think of.
