Ford Capri RS2600 '71

NSU Prinz 1000 TT '67

Jaguar Mark 2 3.4 Litre '65

MG MGA Roadster '58

MG MGB Roadster '63

Triumph TR6 Roadster '70

Amazing how critical small British sports cars are to car culture in general - without them they'd be no Corvette or MX5 - and yet GT7 completely ignores them.
Man all of these cars are great picks, the Jaguar is so essential for the history of sporty saloons, the NSU for hot hatches, and roadsters the more the better. GT is really lacking in that department, which I’m wondering too about as automotive history is such a important part of it.
I would also add the
Austin-Healey 3000 and Sunbeam Tiger.

What about the other "missing" Porsches? Like the 924, 944 Turbo, 928S...
I agree, those three do sound great. Here were my other Porsche picks:

963 (Gr.1)
911 GT1-98 (Gr.2)
911 GT3 R LMGT3 (Gr.3)
914
Cayenne Turbo GT

Plus it could be a neat look into Porsche history to include the 912, especially if it goes into the UCD rather than the LCD. I could definitely see the original 718 racer being added, too, alongside the 910, the latter of which would be a splendid addition to the other Le Mans racers of 1967 like the Ferrari 330 P4 and Ford Mark IV.

Feel free to make your own wishlist containing them:
There is no requirement to not select something that someone else has already selected. It's not reasonable to expect every response to be unique.

However there is a requirement not to crap on other people's selections and preferences. People may post whatever they like in their choices (per the above). If you don't like it, tough: it's not your wishlist.

Still drives me batty how PD made a pseudo Super Taikyu Crown. They know about the GreenBrave car and it’s such an awful tease. Just wish they’d have put the real car in the game.

Rather unpopular opinion but I’d think it be really fascinating if PD not only included a good collection of prewar cars but also had a decent selection of veteran era (pre 1906) cars and race cars to really give the series that whole “automotive encyclopedia” feel. Here’s my list of eleven cars:

For scapes/pics these cars would be fantastic. I don't know about gameplay or racing them... Personally i wouldn't use these cars, unless they were tied to certain events.

To your point, I'd totally be down to see the iconic Fiat "Beast of Turin" that often steals the show at the Goodwood Hillclimb every year. I do also hope that we get that supposed Bugatti Type 37. Indeed, I'd say there are quite a few great pre-war cars I'd love to see, even if many brands that we know and love today started making cars in the post-war period, like Honda and Ferrari; the Bentley Speed Six comes to mind, for one especially excellent example.

I feel like a lot of race cars are purposely represented in GT7 by having customized road cars, especially when you look at the parts available in GT Auto. We've seen this with the Special Events meant to emulate the JGTC and DTM, as well. Personally, when it comes to Toyota/Lexus racers, here was my personal list:

Toyota TS010 (Gr.1)
Toyota GR Supra GT500 '24 (Gr.2)
Toyota GR Supra V8 Supercar '26 (Gr.3)*
Lexus LC500h GT300 '21 (Gr.3)
Lexus LFA N24 '10 (Gr.4)
Toyota MR-S GT300 '00 (Gr.4)

* Assuming the final version of this racer has functioning headlights like it does in the official renders...

EDIT: Almost forgot about that Lexus that's been undergoing testing to replace the RCF GT3. Some rumors say it's gonna be called the LFR.

I've mentioned it in the past, I hope to see more prewar additions. From all Gran Turismo games there are only six (seven if you want to include the modified 1932 Ford in GT7) prewar vehicles. With the two Pebble Beach winning Alfa Romeos and the datamined Bugatti, we've got at least three more on the way in the future.

I also bet we'll get that newly-revealed Genesis GMR-001 racer that'll be entering the WEC in 2026 as part of LMH. I just don't see how it could not come, especially since Genesis is a partner of the GTWS. Honestly, I think it looks even better than the Genesis X Gran Racer VGT.

EDIT: I also hope we get at least one more road-going Genesis model to join the newer version of the G70. Maybe its larger sibling the G80 could come? Or maybe even the GV80 SUV, if only to give the Urus another rival. Could even be the coupe version of the GV80. Here were my SUV/crossover/pickup truck picks at any rate:

Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio
Aston Martin DBX 707
Bentley Bentayga
BMW X5M
Chevrolet Silverado ZR2
Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat
Dodge Ram Rebel
Ferrari Purosangue
Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk
Mercedes-Benz AMG G63 (These are very popular, from what I understand, maybe even more than a non-AMG G-class.)
Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT

EDIT2: I'd also add the Ford Mustang Mach E, as those are also incredibly popular. Indeed, it's one of relatively few EVs that I'd like to see, especially since I'd say it encapsulates changing trends in cars - and from one of the most famous legacy automakers, at that.

Definitely. I mentioned how there's also the "Calsonic" R32 Group A replica sans decals, in the Fuji Clubman+ race. PD saw fit to even do the massive negative camber on the front wheels.

What is the benefit of such a negative camber? I'm serious as I don't know too much about suspension settings.
When cornering, it’s to give the most contact of the width of the tyre in a corner under load. The tyre will stand perpendicular to the road surface.

I want the Tommy Kaira ZZ-II back so much . It was my favourite car in the game since i started with Gran Turismo 3 over 20 Years ago.

And not to forget the Nissan R390! I really wonder why it isn't in the game since we've the 787B and the GT-One already.

I wonder how much PP they'd be in GT7 considering now Fiat 500F has only 87.

We could definitely use both more GT300 cars - from both the JGTC and Super GT era - but I think the likeliest choices will be for brands that don't have much representation in Gr.4/Gr.3. In this regard, I could certainly see the Mitsubishi FTO GT300 being added, or the Honda CR-Z GT300, both as Gr.4 options. I similarly wouldn't mind a GT300-spec Subaru Impreza, either! But I don't think it's as likely that we'll see one of the GT300 racers from Toyota, like the MR-S or AE86 - though I genuinely do still hope we get that GT300-spec Prius that was supposedly scanned. Honestly, with PD, I can never seem to truly guess, but that's part of why they're among my favorite devs.

On this note, I do hope that we at least get the early-90s Mercedes-Benz 190 E Evo II DTM to join the Alfa Romeo 155 TI, seeing how it'd be an actual Gr.4 car for Mercedes-Benz as opposed to AMG.

EDIT: Here's my Gr.3 wishlist:

AMG GT63 GT3*
Aston Martin Vantage GT3 '24
Audi R8 LMS Ultra '12
Bentley Continental GT3
BMW M4 GT3 Evo
Callaway C7 '96
Chevrolet Corvette (C8) GT3.R**
Ferrari 296 GT3
Ford Mustang (7th-gen) GT3
Ginetta G55 GT3
KTM X-Bow GTX GT2
Lamborghini Diablo GT-1 '00
Lamborghini Temerario GT3
Lancia Stratos Turbo
Lexus LFR GT3*
Lotus Evora GTE
Maserati MC12 GT1
McLaren 750S GT3*
Porsche 911 (992) GT3 R
Saleen S7-R GT1
Spyker C8 Laviolette GT2-R '08
Toyota GR Supra V8 Supercars '26***

* = Doesn't actually exist, at least not yet...

** = I do wish that PD has worked things out with Pratt & Miller...

*** = Hopefully this will have functioning headlamps, just like in the official renders.

Speaking of Gr.3, I'd still appreciate it if we got the Volkswagen Beetle from the early 2010s.

EDIT2: I don't think I had made a list of what AMG cars I'd want. Sure, there are a few Mercedes-Benz models I'd especially like, such as the actual racing version of the 190E Evo II since it'd be their only Gr.4 racer, as well as the ultra-rare road-going version of the CLK-LM. That said, I also like the challenge of seeing what AMG models I'd add, especially since there's a solid lineup of them already. So, here's my AMG list:

Mercedes-AMG ONE
Mercedes-AMG C63 DTM '18 (Gr.2)
Mercedes-AMG GT63
Mercedes-AMG GT63 GT3 (Not that it actually exists yet, but I have a strong feeling it will.)
Mercedes-AMG A45 '20 (4th-gen, since we already have the 3rd-gen model.)
Mercedes-AMG G63
Mercedes-AMG SL65 Black Series '10
Mercedes-AMG C63 '08
AMG Galant

Wishing we could have had Road Atlanta from GT4-GT6. All cars in the video below are available in those games. Now, we have the track in GT7, but none of the cars are available. Loved this series.

I’ve mentioned the Fox-body Mustang GT a while ago, but don’t know how this video was added to my algorithm yesterday.

Anyway, all the cars in the video would liven up the car list.

Earlier in this thread I posted a small wish-list for cars I would add/return to Gran Turismo, based on the idea of only being able to add 3 cars, one from each region.

Now I'm coming back to re-run this thought experiment but with additional criteria. The first post primarily selected cars originating in the PS1 era, so now I'm selecting 3 from the PS2, 3 from the PS3, and 3 cars that have yet to appear in the franchise. Also they have to be from brands currently in the franchise as of the most recent installment. Finally no race cars, since PD tends to be all over the joint with them.

So with that being said, here we go

———PS2 Era (GT3, GT4)———
–Volkswagen Bora
bora_V6.jpg

With many of GT3 and 4’s cars being updated versions of cars from GT2, I had to comb through the list of cars to find those not on the GT2 roster, and ultimately my eyes were gravitated to the humble Volkswagen Bora. In it’s top spec featuring a 2.8 litre VR6, and 4 wheel drive, it would add a understated yet punchy sports sedan in a game lacking in such options, especially from the era in which this car represents, and with turbo upgrades it could even pose a niche alternative to the Impreza and Lancer in the realm of 4 door 4wd machinery.

–Nissan Skyline V35
infinity-g-png.395358

Representing the post GT-R era of skylines, the 350GT, also known as the Infiniti G35 in other markets, marked a shift in the trajectory of one of Nissan’s most prominent model lines. With the top spec 3.5L V6 engine shared with the 350z and available in both Coupe and Sedan body styles, this car can fill many gaps, from sport sedan, sports coupe, and a fit in either lineups of Nissan or the currently VGT only Infiniti marque.

–Chevrolet Corvette C5
images

Further up the food chain for the American pick in this section, the C5 generation is the last missing link in GT7’s Corvette lineup, and first making its appearance in GT3 in its Z06 spec, this would likely be a popular return. With iconic status, particularly in its C5.R Racing form of which could be replicated with custom visual parts, it’s really only a matter of time before a C5 ends up in the game, and if not GT7, than more than likely in GT8 as launch content.

———PS3 Era (GT5, GT6)———
-Jaguar XKR
1200px-Coup%C3%A9_Jaguar_XKR_%28X150%29_ventral.jpg

The PS3 era selection is even more difficult than the PS2 era, as almost the entirety of the older titles were carried over wholesale, and most of the new cars were race cars of varying descriptions. But amongst the list I locked onto the second generation Jaguar XKR, a brawny yet sophisticated gran tourer that represents the heart and soul of Jaguar. The marque as it stands in GT7 is small, especially compared to what the brand catalog has to offer, and while the XKR sits in a similar vein to the F-Type, the list of PS3 cars that haven’t returned is small, so choice is limited.

-Chevrolet Nova 3rd gen
images

The first car on this list to predate the 21st century, the Nova, especially in SS trim is a American muscle classic, and while we do have a heavily customized nova in GT7, the 3rd gen would provide something different in the form of a factory spec car and an alternative option for a Mustang fighter for those who feel the Camaro is too “mainstream.”

-Lexus IS-F
2011-lexus-is-f-photo-402059-s-986x603.jpg

GT7 needs more Sports Sedans/Super Saloons, and the IS-F fits the bill nicely, with a 5.0L Yamaha co-developed V8, this car has all the chops to compete with its German Rivals, and with Lexus being on the lighter end of car count, and with the earliest model in game being the 2010 LFA, the IS-F would do well to flesh out the brands repertoire.

———New Cars (Never Seen)———
-Ford Torino Talladega
1969-ford-torino-talladega.jpg

A slightly odd choice of car for this list, but with the Plymouth Superbird being in the game, having one of its main Rivals on the stock car racing scene would be a huge boon, especially if somehow a Dodge Daytona weasels its way in. The Primary reason for going with the Torino of the aero warriors is the fact that one of the winged Mopars is already in the game, and I don’t expect Mercury to make a return anytime soon.

-Mitsubishi Starion
grass_image001_fjQqv73.jpeg

One of those cars that makes me go, “how has that not been featured in Gran Turismo before?” Yes we’ve had the ill-fated rally car, but never a regular Starion, in either narrow-body or wide-body configurations. The Mitsubishi lineup in GT7 is basically the GTO and a deluge of Evo’s, and the Starion would go a ways to adding something new to the club.

-Lancia Fulvia
image.jpg

Another brand suffering from small car list syndrome, why not add the highly successful Fulvia to the game, a rally bred, homologation classic that would nicely go toe to toe with the Alpine A110. Everybody loves a good classic with strong pedigree, and this would be a nice bone for the rally community to play with.

PD could add three new cars from the main category of Brazilian motorsport, Stock Car Brasil. The cars are of the silhouette racing car model, based SUV cars, and, according to preliminary information, have lower performance than the modern GT3, but much better than the TCR and GT4. They could categorize the three cars in Gr.3 using the BOP.

  • Toyota Corolla Cross Stock Car '25
  • Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Stock Car '25
  • Chevrolet Cruze Stock Car '25

Trio Stock Car 2025.jpg

As for circuits, PD could bring the modern Autódromo Velo Città and the Autódromo Internacional Ayrton Senna (Goiânia).
