PS4 :

Car :Zakspeed Ford Capri Group 5

Track :Road America

AI issue 80/90% , third turn/bend they crash in to each other and randomly they do the mambo jambo with me .

Greets .
Is that the one after that downhill straight? I had complete carnage there earlier. I span off myself and as I returned to the track a car drove past me with another car upside down on top of him. Highly amusing. Then I deliberately caused a big pile up and cars were flying everywhere. Made me chuckle if nothing else.

Yes indeed that's the one .
Never the less like this track .

SMS, thanks so much for this game on console and appreciate the latest patch.

Since spending a short time on PCARS since the patch, this is what I have found:

Pros:
• Feel of the DS4 is better
• Graphics look sharper/faster

Glitches:
• Karts - Driver's hands glitching regularly
- Tyre portions detatching/sticking to track
- Replay of race started but the view was frozen in cockpit cam, with the kart in the pitlane

• Menus - Track/mileage still mixed up

• Replays - Seems to be more car graphical pop up and headlights look to switch/pop on when the car comes to a certain distance to the camera.

• Cars - Aston Martin GT4, interior cams, no paddle/hand shift animation and first time I have encountered the shift down to 1st gear glitch.

* Would love to see a real- time weather speed.
* Have FULL control of the car, in/out of the pitlane/box/garage and a formation lap!

Thanks again SMS, brilliant stuff!

I found out that if I restart a race now the driver has audi white and red gloves on every car.
Feels strange when you are driving a Ginetta.

However i'm still econcountering
- AI pitting on last lap in career mode
- AI driving with slick tyres in wet in career mode
- AI super fast with slick tyres in wet in career mode
- AI not pitting for wet tyres in career mode
- Set-up and ffb randomly messed-up in community events

Didn't SMS say they were fixing all of that?

Is this a new glitch error, without reading through all of this thread, playing career, my gt3 race at laguna seca, had to make a pit, came out with flat tyres? car scraping on road.., couldnt drive properly...Anybody else had this?

My previous post on page 34 is basically the same as your case above. I don't know if it's a pre or post patch glitch as I really haven't played the game enough.:indiff: Whichever it isn't good!:irked:

they didn't.. however they changed graphics and the wheel (t300) feels better

Wow. Seriously? I haven't raced in the rain since the patch, but that's the exact reason I'm no longer doing the career. I was really hoping they would finally fix a bug that should have never been in a racing game from the start.

Anyway, I was getting frustrated with the Longtail because of how twitchy it was so I worked to find a setup I'm comfortable with. I got it much more stable now so I can actually enjoy driving it.

In fact, it's so good I don't even need all my wheels.

A lap earlier I had crashed hard enough to lose that wheel. I went back to the pits, made a few more adjustments, and set off again. The body was fixed and it drove normally again. On my out lap I grazed another wall but it still drove fine. When I switched to this view to check for damage, I lol'd. The car drove like nothing was wrong.

Sadly not a new glitch, happened to me a couple of times in the first week of release. Hadn't seen it since. Sad to see it again.

I'm having this issue as well. Using DS4 (manual shifting, with gear up mapped to Square and gear down mapped to Cross - clutch unmapped, and therefore automatic), I'm currently racing Clio Cup and find this happens roughly once each race weekend (I'm doing 70% distance and take part in Practice, Qualifying and 2 Races)
I've managed to capture a video of one example, where you can see me change from 4th gear to 5th, only for the gearbox to quickly change to 1st gear, blowing the engine.

At the moment, I get through about 50-75% of races, but the others end exactly like this. I don't believe this is me shifting incorrectly, it seems the shifting is buggy and 1st is selected on occasion in error...

For reference, this often happens to me when no damage has been taken to the car, not even an excursion onto the grass. Very frustrating.

Its a frustrating glitch, it happened to me a couple times -> Shifts up then it throws it into first. That blows my engine. :\

1.4 didnt fix this :\

Just had my first bit of rain, on Zolder, the 2nd invitational M1 race. Was in 2nd (AI at 90%) lap 3/5, then it starts spitting, and by the beginning of lap 5 I can't control the car anymore. Nobody else pitted, so I didn't either. I crashed out, impossible to drive, everyone over took me.

So I restarted, can't find anywhere to select my tires before the race starts. Is there an option to start on inters or wets?

This time knowing what was going to happen, when it started raining, I went into the pits, I don't think half the rest did as I came back out about 8 places down.

What pisses me off, is I know it's going to rain, I can't find an option to put inters on at the start of the race, and the AI doesn't pit to change tires and has no problem in the rain. It renders career mode broken until it's fixed. For the life of me I can't understand how this wasn't spotted the first time someone did a race where it rained.

My biggest gripe with the game also. Well known for a while and supposed to have been adressed with patch 1.4, but it wasn't.

Before every race you should be able to edit your tuning setup the same way you could during a practice or qualifying session. It's the same option and in the same place, at least that's how it is for me. I think I know what was you're talking about too, that's where I first noticed it.

No it didn't... but, on the official forum a dev has confirmed that they've identified the problem and the fix will be included in patch 1.5 - so here's hoping.

I've trained myself to use a silly setup of shifting with L1 and R1, but I really want to get back to playing how I'm comfortable.

I just did the two practice sessions in career for GT3, at Road America. Didn't simulate or skip to end for both, but at the middle of both sessions, while I was leading the practice times, noticed I became number two. Checked and see how much I need to make up, both sessions one AI put in an impossible lap time. I was in the 2:11 to 2:12's, everyone below me 2:13's. The first place Ai for both sessions put in 1:36. Impossible for anyone to catch that lol.

I've also experienced this glitch. I was testing some different setup changes on the formula a around the dubai track. After a crash and return to pitbox I was missing both of my wheels on the left hand side. Looked like a Star Wars land speeder.

For me it seems like I can turn the wheel physically past the car's maximum steering lock. Not sure if that was the same pre patch 1.04 as I got the wheel after the patch

This is what I was saying. Before the patch each car had their correct lock. Which wheel are you using?

At the top of the first setup screen you see it says Compound: Automatic by Weather. Changing that will change the compound on your car. What is a an error is that the list of compounds/types here doesn't match the list you're offered when you make a pit-stop, I read that a fix for that is coming.

I've never had this problem before, but now same season, first round of GT3 Euro, practice session one, again beaten by one AI by 31 seconds. Super annoying

http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/sh...ering-possibly-related-to-Internet-connection

The link above above is to the pCARS forum where other people have been having the same problem as I did yesterday

The game is just very unresponsive, even in menu's. Then on track the audio will run at normal pace but visually the game runs normally for 3-4 seconds then pause for a second. Over and over, it doesn't clear it's throat and get over it

In the thread I linked to, some seem to think it's an X1/XBL issue. I tried another game last night and it was fine. Some have found that the issue has rectified itself by this morning. Fingers crossed when I fire up pCARS later today

I had an extremely slow screen update speed in a couple of races yesterday arvo, pretty sure it's XBL related as it's affecting a bunch of us. Like the thread says, heavy network demand associated with E3 sounds like a likely contributory factor.

Put in a career race 2 at Watkins Glen in GT3 with the Audi R8. 88% length and 90% AI settings. I'm pretty sure the race ended on lap 23/24. I was able to come within a second of the guy infront of me in the last few turns of lap 23. Then I crossed the line and the race was over, it took me minute to realise what happened ha ha ha.

@Lanius1984 Had the same big downshift to blow the engine after 3/4 of an endurance race at Sonoma:ouch:
@m3lover1 I have had some driver put up an insanely low Q time in several events. However, the same driver never runs that quickly in the race. It is a problem when you are trying to get that bonus point and stay close in the Championship Points.:(

I'm no techy, so tell me please. Why does that impact pCARS as described, but other games are ok
Me neither but I suspect it's to do with how often those other games access the network. My Forza Horizon 2 crashed a lot when I played it and I think that's a very network intensive game even in singleplayer.

You'd be better off trying to get an answer from the people who program the games though.
