THIS FORTNIGHT'S THEME

This week, we will celebrate other sports. Last winner @Noisy set this theme, let's hear what he has to say :

Most of us follow other sports other than just motorsport. Whether it be Football, Rugby, Ice Hockey, American Football, Baseball or something more obscure, it's time to show off the colours and teams we support away from the race track.

Design a livery that is based on a team you support. It can be from the biggest teams in the world all the way down to a local amateur team. Liveries can be a basic or as complex as you like, from a fan's daily driver to a full racing livery reminiscent of the old Superleague Formula.

I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with and good luck!

CARS :

- Any.

LIVERIES :
- No replicas, original designs only.

UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS :
- Liveries must be based on a sports team that isn't motorsport-related.

BONUS PICTURES SETTINGS :
- No restrictions.
- Up to 2 bonus pictures (will be the new rule from now)

USER MADE DECALS :
- Allowed.

GENERAL COMPETITION RULES

ENTRY SUBMISSION

- The only way you can take part is to be a member of the GTPlanet forums. If you haven't created your account yet, click here
- Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text.
- Unsure how to? Copy and paste the following:
Code:
[COLOR=red][B]FINAL ENTRY[/B][/COLOR]
- One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a competition.
- You may change your entry once. Do it clearly; edit out your previous entry, and either post the new one in a new reply, or in place of the original.
- Do not post "Honourable Mentions" or outtakes - just your Final Entry, that's all.
- Absolutely no entries which utilize edited/hacked file saves.

- Winner gets to choose the following Fortnight's theme.
- Winners cannot enter in their own theme!
- The Host may ask for the original image/livery and it must be submitted if so.
- It's recommended to share the original livery online (in-game) to prove it’s your work.
- Winner, second and third places will have to share the links of the liveries for the Hall of Fame thread

ENTRY PRESENTATION

- All images shall have preview images which may not exceed 640 pixels in either direction (main and bonus pictures)
- You have to post two main pictures of your entry using the mandatory locations and settings as shown below
- You are allowed to post two bonus pictures in a spoiler with free location and settings (unless the unique restrictions of the week’s theme specify something else)
- You have to make one post with ONLY the 4 pictures and the FINAL ENTRY mark. If you want to add precisions/background story/links, you are allowed to double-post under your entry. The best way to do it will be to "reply" to your own post.

- It is recommended you host your image either here on GTPlanet (via the Media section), or on Flickr
- Not sure how to submit your image? Here's a guide for both methods mentioned above.
- A preview image must be representative of the full-size image. Do not add effects to it.
- Please use a clickable-preview to full-size, not a separate text link for it; it makes poll creation much easier!
- No heavy post-game editing, slight enhancing is allowed.

MANDATORY PICTURES

- You have to post a front quarter view and a rear quarter view of your car.
- You can choose between the Shiretoko 03 location or the White Sands 01/09 locations. No other location will be allowed for the main pics.

Funnily enough this is something I have some history with.

The year is 2013. My local Aussie Rules Football club, after 20 odd years of very low level performance, has made the league’s preliminary final. I’m daily driving my 300ZX and my old car is languishing in the shed.

So naturally, to celebrate and get in the team spirit, 18 year old me attacks his poor, defenceless, AU falcon with electrical tape.

It works. The AU is at the oval as the mighty Lions win the prelim & she’s there the next weekend when they win their first premiership in my lifetime. The community loved this electrical tape job & I guess I’ll be using it as inspiration this week. Go the Lions! :D

Well sorry I missed the last two, unfortunately many things came up and I could simply not commit the time!

I do have an idea for this one though and it's unpublished yet so I shall get onto that tonight when I get home from work!

I've something different in mind. Not a club, not a team, but just a single person competing worldwide, in a kind of sport I guess anybody likes to watch ! :D

Got a reaction from him on instagram.. happily working together !

One thing to point out is conflict of interest. Some Professional teams have sponsorships.
For example the “Anaheim Ducks” play hockey at “The Honda Center” and you probably won’t see them on anything official other than a Honda.

There are 2 things i will put my life on the line for. My Family. And the Denver Nuggets. I live and breathe basketball and the Denver Nuggets are my team. I bleed for Denver. Basketball has been a huge part of my life since 1992. Back then I didn't have a favorite team. Being from Australia, as an NBA fan you could just choose whoever you wanted to be a fan of. It wasn't until the late 90s that I became a fan of the Nuggets. For Aussies, it was easier to have favorite players than teams. But i became very invested in the Nuggets. To unhealthy levels my wife might say. I am so happy this LEC came around, I am finally able to show off my 'other' love besides GT. Anyone who has knowledge of the Nuggets might say, why didn't you style on the classic 80s rainbow jerseys? well, i'm all about the now, and this year, this past season, this is the best Nuggets team we've ever had, so I pay tribute to them with this livery. Thankyou @Noisy for this LEC, I'm beyond stoked to be able to share my other love with you guys. I hope you guys like it. DIG IN!!

Only a Degen would use a team from Denver. And only a Fink would use a team that plays in the (rolls eyes) Pepsi Center. BTW. Stay tuned for my Colorado Avalanche livery. Lol.

I do not support any sports teams. But I can recognise a great kit when I see one.
Stade Francoise have been a bit of a personal favourite because of their great kit. They have always stood out in really any professional team at a top level for just having crazy and wacky strips despite fielding some of the most formidable players in the world. My livery is a take on their 2019 kit and taken as if they had entered the 2019 Le Mans. I took elements from the factory Porsche team and added it to this livery to give it an authentic race look.

One again a shout out to @Maninashed for his help on the decals without him this wouldn’t have worked!

So happy with this theme, even if I have to find a new idea if one (hypothetical) day I win a round! :banghead: :D

I hope I'll be able to get in!

I'm curious - do people think these types of designs are enhanced by having other sponsors rather than just team-related decals?
I've done a mix of both and can't really decide beyond other sponsors suiting race cars in general.

FINAL ENTRY

Leeds United FC Centenary Aston Martin Gr.3

Link to livery: https://www.gran-turismo.com/gb/gts...lery/all/livery/1309219/1/4620724013203752497

This is my Leeds United FC 100 years Aston Martin GR.3

I've been a Leeds fan since I was 7, been to over 300 games and watched them from the heights of the English Premier League and in the Champions League all the way down to League One and then back up to the EFL Championship where we narrowly missed out on promotion back to the Premier League last season.

The car features the LUFC crest and smaller watermarked crests on the side, stripes in the traditional colours of blue, white and yellow, our 'Marching On Together' song and strapline and a couple of car sponsors and official club sponsors in 32Red & Kappa.

Leeds celebrate 100 years of history this year hence the number board.

I include them but it's a personal choice, I always tend to pick some racing sponsors as I prefer creating the look of a real race car. On my livery above though I only chose the tire, allow wheel and lighting sponsor while the others are sponsors of the football club.
