So this is my first entry! Hello everybody!

My idea:
I heard that Ford and VW are going to develop future projects with hybrid and electric-powertrains together.
I also heard that the FIA wants to allow hybrid systems in the WRC championship in 2022. I imagined Ford preparing the public for the change and make a promo in the next years for their hybrid system which they are currently developing with VW.
And yes, there is Volkswagen written on a Mustang (you are allowed to punch me).
For the design I got the inspiration from VW's all-new all-electric ID-3, which had a Camo-Wrap on it, which I personally found cool.
So I decided to split the design in half, leave it like the ID-3 at the back, and in the front I changed the colors to white and blue, so it represents Ford and VW all in one.
That's it!

Were you inspired by this livery by any chance?

Thanks to @D-Max for this theme because I still hadn't finished nor shared any livery for my Mustang Gr.B (I have a Ford RS200 Tribute on the way and I realized I hadn't finished it yet)!

To be honest I didn't know where I was going when I started.
For a few seconds I wanted to apply a special paint but I saw the carbon fiber parts were going to disappear... :(

So I've just applied some red, black and white decals, with gradient effects and went on with the sponsors, doubled almost everywhere to respect the main color scheme and chose the #5 of Johann Zarco to celebrate his return in MotoGP for the last three races of the season (and the colors matched with the global design).

Hope some of you will like it.

Ford Shell M-Sport Mustang WRC

This year marks 35 years since the RS200 was first put into production, and initially I wanted to create something along the lines of the Shell RS200 livery as a tribute, but ended up drastically changing it due to how simple it looked in comparison to today's WRC liveries. Creating a WRC Mustang was rather challenging, since recent WRC cars to use as reference are all hatchbacks with less space to put any sponsors, so I had to split up and segregate the design a little. Tribute is paid to the drivers listed on the side; Marc Surer and Michel Wyder, who were involved in a tragic crash colliding into a tree during the 1986 ADAC Rally in a RS200; which led to the car setting on fire, badly injuring Surer and unfortunately killing Wyder.

FINAL ENTRY

After many attemps, I finally came with this Hoonigan Mustang WRC. I really want to use a special paint so base is G1 matte fluorescent, and I did masking work for the big monster logo on the side and partially for the pattern.
For this round I searched for old Ford WRC liveries and remembered K. Block Hoonigan Ford. So I tried to make a livery wild enough to be a Hoonigan racing car for K. Block retorn in WRC.

After failing to beat Redbull in formula 1, Rich energy was searching for a different way to beat them.
With their new quote #biggerisbetterthanredbull, Rich energy partnered with Ford to create the Ford mustang group b, Their 2020 challenger to beat Ogier in the Redbull sponsored citroen.

After the troubles I had earlier this week, my game decided to work properly again so I could finish my design as intended.

Great split sponsorship! I'm always playing around with dual sponsors and it's fun finding ways to make it work outside of a simple cut down the middle, so I might borrow that layout in future designs.;) Also your colorscheme reminds me of the '99 Wedsport Celica and I like that!

This appealed to me! I always laugh when I see rich energy!

That was my intention.
I wanted to make a redbull livery in the beginning, but they have been in wrc for a long time. My second thought was to make a monster energy livery, but I thought it would be to much like a livery form Ken Block.
With te mustang being such a big car the saying bigger is better came up and that reminded me with rich's saying #better than redbull creating bigger is better than redbull

Not sure what's going on in the still bonus shot. I noticed the decal on the inside of the roof scoop and went back to check why it's there, as I was sure I'd used the projection settings to remove it already . All angle and depth settings seem fine and there's no sign of it in the editor. Any more adjustments and I lose half of it from the surface...weird .

p.s. I updated my main pictures to include the rally wheels selected, didn't realise it reverts to road wheels in photo mode :dopey:.

I've never noticed that in my photos, I'll be aware now, thx for that.

Same here! :D
I even shared my livery before I realized my wheels wasn't there! :irked:

And one of my favorite liveries by the way, one out of 10 maybe! :banghead:

@Raphaele you have posted the same pic twice
