Garbuckle,

May I add my thanks to you and all the other contributors to an excellent spreadsheet.

I did notice one thing which is really insignificant but might be worth amending. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolutions have Roman numeral model numbers but they aren't quite listed in order. i.e.

Lancer Evolution GSR '92
Lancer Evolution II GSR '94
Lancer Evolution III GSR '95
Lancer Evolution IV GSR '96
Lancer Evolution IV Rally Car '97
Lancer Evolution IX GSR '05
Lancer Evolution IX GSR RM '05
Lancer Evolution Super Rally Car '03
Lancer Evolution V GSR '98
Lancer Evolution VI GSR '99
Lancer Evolution VI GSR T.M. EDITION SCP '99
Lancer Evolution VI GSR TM '00
Lancer Evolution VI Rally Car '99
Lancer Evolution VI RS '99
Lancer Evolution VI RS TOMMI MAKINEN EDITION '00
Lancer Evolution VII GSR '01
Lancer Evolution VII GT-A '02
Lancer Evolution VII RS '01
Lancer Evolution VIII GSR '03
Lancer Evolution VIII MR GSR '04
Lancer Evolution VIII RS '03
Lancer Evolution X GSR Premium Package '07

might more accurately be read as:-

Lancer Evolution GSR '92
Lancer Evolution II GSR '94
Lancer Evolution III GSR '95
Lancer Evolution IV GSR '96
Lancer Evolution IV Rally Car '97
Lancer Evolution V GSR '98
Lancer Evolution VI GSR '99
Lancer Evolution VI GSR T.M. EDITION SCP '99
Lancer Evolution VI GSR TM '00
Lancer Evolution VI Rally Car '99
Lancer Evolution VI RS '99
Lancer Evolution VI RS TOMMI MAKINEN EDITION '00
Lancer Evolution VII GSR '01
Lancer Evolution VII GT-A '02
Lancer Evolution VII RS '01
Lancer Evolution VIII GSR '03
Lancer Evolution VIII MR GSR '04
Lancer Evolution VIII RS '03
Lancer Evolution IX GSR '05
Lancer Evolution IX GSR RM '05
Lancer Evolution X GSR Premium Package '07
Lancer Evolution Super Rally Car '03

As IX (9) comes after VIII (8) not IV (4). Dont know if it is worth reordering the "Lancer Evolution Super Rally Car '03" to the end as well? It is probably the result of an alphabetical sort being applied at some point which wouldn't have handled the Roman numerals and would have stuck S between I and V.

Add a bit of date ordering and it would be :-

Lancer Evolution GSR '92
Lancer Evolution II GSR '94
Lancer Evolution III GSR '95
Lancer Evolution IV GSR '96
Lancer Evolution IV Rally Car '97
Lancer Evolution V GSR '98
Lancer Evolution VI GSR '99
Lancer Evolution VI GSR T.M. EDITION SCP '99
Lancer Evolution VI Rally Car '99
Lancer Evolution VI RS '99
Lancer Evolution VI GSR TM '00
Lancer Evolution VI RS TOMMI MAKINEN EDITION '00
Lancer Evolution VII GSR '01
Lancer Evolution VII RS '01
Lancer Evolution VII GT-A '02
Lancer Evolution Super Rally Car '03
Lancer Evolution VIII GSR '03
Lancer Evolution VIII RS '03
Lancer Evolution VIII MR GSR '04
Lancer Evolution IX GSR '05
Lancer Evolution IX GSR RM '05
Lancer Evolution X GSR Premium Package '07

perhaps?

I guess it could be a lot of work and isn't that important ;)

Thanks again, superb job :D

Yes, it's alphabetical, and not really worth the time (to me) to try and re-order it. You can blame the Romans for writing numbers as letters and screwing up the future of computer sorting :D lol

If possible, could you add a column marking each arcade car so that you can sort by arcade cars?
Yeah, that's possible. I didn't do it that way at first, just to save space.

I went ahead and made my own column for the arcade cars, but when I went through your list of cars I noticed you have the Citroën Race Car marked in red as an arcade car, but I'm fairly certain it is the road car version and not the race car that is in arcade mode so you might want to check that just to be sure.

I was planning on adding a car class to the Matrix... just got sidetracked lately, and haven't gotten around to it yet.

That would be a really nice addition to an already terrific resource! Keep up the great work! 👍

Speaking of the Citroën Race Car, in addition to all the Race Modified cars, I noticed that the DLC "Stealth" cars also have the custom race number option, as well as the Citroën Race Car.

Does anyone know if there are any other race cars in GT5 that have the custom race number option?

Just got back from vacation, so it will take a bit before I get around to updating...

As for your race car question, some of the race cars (i.e. Lupo Cup Car) have different numbers, but aren't changeable... I think there's a list floating around somewhere with those.

Yes, I am aware of race cars with different numbers/liveries, but I am talking about cars with the custom race number option - like all the RM cars, stealth cars, and GT by Citroën race car. Do you know of a list of those cars, or other cars with the custom race number option?

Thanks for the brilliant work. Really an amazing database.
I use it since the beginning, and it´s getting better and better.

I just downloaded the v4.7.

Tiny remark to let you know the file is double zipped.

The first extract output is a file with no extension that needs to be renamed in .zip

You need to extract this file to get the xls file.

PS : thanks for the file exhaustivity 👍

Must be your browser, or something. I don't have that issue, and you're the first to mention such a thing. Mind you, there are some weird bugs with the download feature on this site.

Updated to version 5.0!

I added the car class

Much appreciated with the car class...
Well done! 👍

Now we just need to get those other 875 "class-less" cars classified.. :sly:
That must mostly be 'roadcars' or 'streetcars' (what is the right term?).
Anyone up for that job?? :ouch:

Btw.: while thinking myself, about adding car-classes to your spreadsheet, I did considered adding 2 columns..: one for the 'major' class (ex. touring) and one for the 'minor' class (DTM, Cup Car, FIA WTTC, Group A).
Then you would be able to easily filter by all touring-cars or all SuperGT etc..
Would that be preferred by the users??

Just realized that my XP for the seasonals is wrong for the first group... I guess the amounts changed recently (you now get 3x as much as listed, for the ones before the expert challenge). [edit: fixed/updated]

I probably won't go into the whole major/minor class thing. I have it sorted a little now. Still have to add NASCAR, and anything else we find...

Awesome work on this! I still have to update to the latest version (Is there any way to do this easily while keeping the extra columns I added myself to keep track of mileage and stock tires?).

And just wondering, is there any chance of adding the paint color database to this file?

The easiest way to have your columns, is to have your version and the new version open at the same time, then copy and paste your columns over to the new version (just make sure both lists are sorted exactly the same... like by the ID#).

I have already added new sheets/tabs for all the gear, tickets, special paints, horns, and museum cards. It will be available when I get around to uploading Ver 5.1. I don't think it's the same as the paint database, and that sounds quite large. I wouldn't say no, if I could make it fit, though :)

Updated to 5.2 (including the online google docs version).

This update has all the gear, items, tickets, horns, etc, as well as the most recent seasonal events.

Yes. First, "pls" is textspeak and not permitted on this site. Second "Excel" is a proper noun and requires a capital letter - as does "Any", since it starts a sentence - as the site rules instruct.

👍

Love this thread, by the way.

I just looked at this for the first time and almost fainted with excitement! Great work, dude. May I suggest adding the latest seasonal, and adding classes for a few cars (the RM's, the Furai, the IS200 GT1, the Motorsport Elise, etc).

Got the latest seasonal in there, just haven't uploaded it yet. The RM's, etc don't have a class, they're just race modifications. I've added classes to the main ones. If a car has a class by itself, it doesn't make sense to add it, I think.

EDIT: uploaded with latest seasonal. I kept the same version #

OK, I understand, although I'm pretty sure the RM'ed Impreza '05 is just an unlicensed version of Subaru's 2005 WRC Car.

Thank you very much for this very impressive piece of work! I was just wondering what those W's meant in the award event column (in the Cars tab).

That means it's winnable from something other than an event (like a NASCAR ticket, level ticket, etc)
