A stupid question perhaps, but how do I keep my data when upgrading to a new version of the matrix?
When you add new cars to the car list, that will change the order so I can't just copy the entire column (C and D, which contains number of cars owned).
Right?

I haven't thought about it too much yet (haven't even had a chance to play with spec 2 yet), but I am using ID numbers, which means I can probably just add to the id number, in order to keep it sortable (i.e. all the new cars can be sorted to the end of the list)

Hi garbuckle, when updating my gear sheet, I noticed that's missing 2 suits types called chama and bosque, and in the helmet the type divider I have number 31. I don't know if it's stuff from the spec 2 but here it's a little reminder. Once again congrats for the awesome work.

As many have said before, thank you. This is an amazing resource that is open constantly on my PC. One request for the next version, if I may be so bold, would be at least one more count column on the "Cars" tab to keep track of cars in multiple accounts. I suppose I could just insert another column and adjust the formulas, but I haven't looked at how your formulas are set up. Besides, I am guessing it would be much easier for you to figure out how to get another column in there than for me to reverse engineer the formulas.

I noticed I also got extra gear, outside the usual numbering scheme. There is definitely more gear now (especially with DLC), but I haven't yet read of how many spec 2 added.

As for multiple accounts, I don't use them. I'm not sure if I want to add extra columns to an already crowded list. And considering how the car summary works, it may be just easier to make a copy of the file; one for each account.

And no, I haven't even started on the Spec 2 sheet yet... I haven't even played anything since spec 2 came out (just way too busy). Maybe this weekend, though.

This was pretty easy for me to add in. I used MyGT5 for what got added (Although, now there is more new stuff from the DLC) and just adjusted the formulas out to 34 types instead of 30.

Understandable. This is the "fix" I use currently.

Despite our interest and use of the Matrix, I don't think any reasonable person here doesn't understand that real life has to come first (ok, sometimes I forget. Know any good marriage counselors? :) ). We all definitely look forward to it when it gets here, but we'll be patient.

garbuckle, thanks for all the work! This is one of the best pieces of info for any Gran Turismo version I have seen. 👍👍

Just a question though, maybe I have missed it in my search, but the credit amounts for the Seasonal Events are different, have they changed them again?

They did. Update 2.0 changed the credit prizes and added amultiplier for playing on consecutive days up to 200%.

Thanks ajns73 👍

I knew about the multiplier, great idea I think. Do you know if anyone is working on the updated credit list for the seasonal events?

I'll have it shortly... I have entered / updated all credits, cars, gear, etc for Spec 2. I only need the last 3 XP amounts for the newest Seasonal, and then I will upload... hopefully tomorrow.

Ok, I've uploaded the Spec 2 sheet (only in zip format at the moment). I am missing one XP amount for the FGT seasonal; if anyone knows it, I'll update my sheet.

See the first post as usual, for the link.

Thanks a lot garbuckle, I was eagerly awaiting this! 👍

Edit: by the way, I think NASCAR cars are level 21, not 22.

Great workbook! Very thorough and interesting statistics. Thank you for sharing.

I have a question concerning two cars I could not find in your car list:

Red Bull X2010 Prototype
Red Bull X2010 S.Vettel '10

These cars are listed in both the "official" Polyphony Digital car list at Gran Turismo 5 - Official car list and in the car database found on Gran Turismo 5 Resource Site.

Did you miss these cars?
Or do you not distinguish these two "models" from the Red Bull X2010 '10?
Or, am I simply missing something obvious?

Thank you again for the hard work and sharing your workbook.

Thank you so much for this, hosting it on Google Docs is amazing and makes it incredibly accessible. :)

Apparently I have to go grind the seasonal Lightweight Cup Eifel 104A for the best XP/min to get that magical level 40 some day. ^^

@bsleeth: No, I don't differentiate between the X2010 models. To me, it's the same car, only with a change in livery/paint. I know PD likes to pad their car list, but it's silly to list it 3 times. Still, I may think about changing it, just so it matches the other lists.

@insejnEU: I haven't put the newest version on google docs yet, but I believe with the change in credit amounts / multiplication factor, that the American Championship Extreme in A-Spec is now the best XP generator (or maybe the endurance events).

Best XP/min is from the La Festa Cavallino at Circuit de la Sarthe 2009, it will get you 97864, where the Lightweight Cup Eifel 104A will only get you 69341.

That's credits. For XP, the 4 hour Nurburgring Endurance is the best, followed by the Lightweight Eifel seasonal, at 17,200 and 12,100 XP/min, respectively.

@garbuckle for my two cents, I would want the list of cars to match the GT5 Garage as close as possible so that as I am updating my statistics I have a one-to-one relationship between a car in the garage and a car in your workbook.

I would even speculate that many (most?) people may already be replicating the single X2010 to the other models.

Either way, you sure did put a lot of work into this and I really appreciate you sharing with all of us.

Thanks again.

Wow :) 👍 +1 Kudos

Hi loving the Matrix document, however (it is a better word than "but")

Anyone have a PP (rather than HP) and tire choice list for each of the A and B spec events? (plus the seasonal events)..

Would make a great addition :D
