Just tried to post the sheet but it failed. Will try and work out how to post it here. I must say its quite a cool feature. What version of excel are you using?

2002 (i.e. Office XP). I can't stand the new versions.

I see you are using xlsm files... might be better to save as a legacy file, if you want others (like me) to be able to use it :)

Had a quick look, and truth be told, I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve. Are the setups supposed to be the stock values? I'm also concerned that having everything in a layout like that could make it unwieldy. If it's just another 13 items of data, there is no reason why it can't be added as columns to the already existing car sheet.

I could also then just add a simple lookup sheet/line, where you select a car, and it fetches the stats for you (although looking through the list isn't that hard right now anyway).

But to answer your original query, I wouldn't personally go to all the trouble with links and separate sheets.

It was just an idea for people to save their car setups and find them when needed. But I think the truth is it will make the sheet to big anyway.

No worries. It was a bad idea me think's

Cheers

Awesome work.
Credit payout for b-spec 1000km of suzuka seems off. I think it's like 90k. Will check when I get home.

You're right. What I had was the old pre-update amounts. I've confirmed a couple: Suzuka 1000 is 125,400 and Indy 500 is 89,900. I have to confirm the first 3 still, as they may be the old numbers as well.

In any case, the credits for b-spec endurance is ridiculously low, so it's not like it makes a big difference :D

EDIT: The first 3 b-spec endurances are 54500, 64600, and 76100 credits, respectively.

I agree. I had wanted to include the track maps, but the file would have been far too big.

I've collected about 700 cars. The one thing that is missing here, is the cost of rebuilds and chassis maintenance. I always do both of these, to all cars from the UCD, unless they're from a (1000) gift ticket. Unfortunately, I've only been keeping track of this for maybe the last 100 cars, or so. I'd be more than happy to give what info I have.

That could be useful information. Have you noticed a pattern in the cost? It would be great if we could figure out what the formula is, so that we don't have to log 1000 cars.

The credits needed are close on some cars of the same value but, all too often they are just a hair off and some seem to be based on the manufacturer more than the value of the car. Here's a scaled down file with the info I have.

Very interesting...

I couldn't quite figure out what the exact formula is... there must be some factor to do with the age, or laps or something. Anyways, from the data you provided, I found the average ratio of car price to engine rebuild cost to be about 2.8. The chassis rebuild cost is almost exactly 1.667 times the engine rebuild cost. So, the formulas are as follows:

Engine Rebuild = Cost of Car / 2.8, rounded to the nearest 500 credits. If over 500,000, use 500,000

Chassis Rebuild = Engine Rebuild * 1.6667, rounded to the nearest 500 credits. If Engine Rebuild is 500,000, use 500,000.

This seems to be accurate within about 4,000 credits of the actual. For my purposes, that will be close enough. I can add the formula to my car list to give a rough idea of the repair costs.

Thanks :)

This matrix is brilliant!!

I did notice, however, that the NASCAR Daytona race is listed at 5 laps, but I believe it should be 10. This will greatly reduce the XP/min value, and may make it considerably less desirable for grinding.

I did finally figure out how to win, so it isn't as painful as it once was, but I don't like the NASCAR races too much.

Thanks

You are right! Thanks for pointing that out. It now becomes a total waste of time and effort (in addition to being a totally ridiculous AI bump fest). Nobody should have to be forced to grind that race! :D lol

Note: updated to version 3.5. There are a few enhancements, so please see the first post for details and the new link (PDF file is still version 3.0 however)

Word is that the event credits are now back to where they were before the last patch... guess I have some work to do to re-confirm all the events :(

There is also some new performance points, which I may have to now include in my file. We'll see tomorrow once the dust has settled :)

OK, well that answers my question of if you will update 3.5 to reflect 1.06 info :D

Thank you. I urge everyone else to do the same: any races you run, it would be extremely helpful if you noted the new credits and XP.

I will also be interested to see if we can determine the performance points using a formula, so we do not have to record every one.

I am doing dream car championship right now and been writing down the new XP numbers, but not the credits stuff

will post the XP list when everything is done
edit:

B-Spec
Dream Car Championship
- Indianapolis Motor Speedway Superspeedway: old XP = 9819 | new XP = 35966
- Autodromo Nazionale Monza: old XP = 18868 | new XP = 38668
- Tokyo Route 246: old XP = 16355 | new XP = 36419
- Circuit de la Sarthe 2009: old XP = 12316 | new XP = 38594
- Nurburgring 24H: old XP = 26946 | new XP = 45895

Credits for every race = 86600
Credits for complete Championship = 433000

Thanks, ageha.

I'm guessing the races for grinding will stay the same, and are just proportionally smaller in credits and higher in XP. The championship amount also appears to be the same as before (i.e. the sum of all races - 86600 x 5 = 433000).

Hopefully I can get the major races updated first (i.e. extreme and endurance), as those are the most beneficial.

Original creator of thread should start a new thread or post a list at the start of all A-spec and B-spec races and cross off the ones that have been already supplied with new values by players:

B-spec:
Nurburgring 4-Hour Endurance
WAS: 525,000 CR and 491,416 XP
NOW: 157,500 CR and 682,105 XP

Will do

For the new 1.06 patch, I've created a Google Docs sheet that anyone can edit.

Feel free to add the new credit and XP amounts to the list (columns H and I for A-spec, Q and R for B-spec). I've already added the ones from above. I will also paste this link to the first post:

Thanks in advance for the help!
