The GT6 Epic Whining and Crying Thread

I've had with it with this damn franchise, everything from the standards, to the sounds is just pathethic. Now, they not only fail to deliver, but they try to lie and give false information to the consumers. They've lost all my respect. I'm skipping the PS4 as well to be honest. They don't need new harware, they need to stop, re-think and re-built their entire scheme. I hope to god that Sony steps in and make some changes, If I was in charge, I would've found Kaz a new job since GT5P.

I'd need a calculator to figure out how many times I believe it's called a, "cry for attention" If someone really hated the franchise that much, they wouldn't be here, they'd be spending their time somewhere else that was enjoyable, rather than in a place surrounded by people that love something they profess to hate. If you truly find nothing positive about the franchise and don't intend to buy the game or even the next generation console why do you stick around Pepe? Not saying you can't or don't have the right to, but why?

Move on... I already play other "sims" and other kinds of games on all platforms, nostalgia was what kept me here. From time to time when there's nothing new to play I just lose interest and leave the machines off for months, so far neither next-gen console has convinced me so I'll just wait, no big deal.

I think nostalgia and emotional attachment is what keeps a large chunk of people here.
I'd love to hear what Jordan thinks of GT5/GT6 some day when he's no longer close with the franchise.(assuming that day ever comes)

You don't have to. Yesterday, I came across a post that Jordan himself liked, a post basically about one guy laughing at any criticism we could have at the game.

You have to ask yourself how you would react/respond if you were in his shoes at this very moment.

We have seen plenty of the game to draw many conclusions. The amount of information we know is much greater than what we don't know.

It's sooo poor it's insulting... 👎 PD are, again, playing with their rep with this one...

I'm not going to rate GT6 for a single car... but this speaks very bad of them. How can you still define yourself as a perfectionist with this... thing... in your most recent game???

To "improve" the wheel selection we now have fictional "GT" branded wheels. No wheel width options either, only "inch-up" options.




This is pathetic. They have only added a handful of actual new wheels to the game. The majority are generic GT-aa and GT-ab generic spoke wheels. Where the hell is an updated lineup from BBS? Enkei? SSR? And why can't they add Work Wheels to the game already?

I guess I'll have to put TE37SL's on everything.

In case you didn't notice, GTP is a community, built off the back of Gran Turismo. How many other games has a community anywhere near this scale, 3 years after release? Even the GT1/2/3/4 forums are still active.

They had such a perfect opportunity to replace the Auto Union Type C Streamliner with an open-wheeled version of the Type C, in premium detail too. I'll still use the Streamliner at Route X, maybe some other tracks for a laugh, but those enclosed wheel arches are going to make turning the damn thing a difficult task in itself. Unless... Maybe the wheels actually go through the model when you steer,

I like how they've "expanded" the wheel selection by giving us three different colours for all the wheels.

It's not like we could paint them or anything...

It's not your choice to take criticism on GT or not. You are not Sony, you are not PD, you are not Kaz.
I already see the evolution since the leaks from "you can't criticize a game that isn't out yet" to "why are you criticizing, you already knew this was gonna be so or that wasn't gonna be in". Seems you didn't evolve yet, I'm sure next week you will.
And the next patch will make it all better, right? GT5 all over again.

Well, since you are asking : Fallout community, The Elder Scrolls series, MLB the show Nation, Diablo series, World of Warcraft, Starcraft, Street Fighter series, Battlefield series, GTA series, Half-Life, SimCity (4), Zelda community, Final Fantasy, Total war series, Magic the gathering : duels of the planeswalker series, etc etc etc.

GT series is FAR FAR from having the biggest community.

And I forgot : Fritz chess.

SubSIM is probably far bigger and more active than GTP. And it is been built around freaking submarine simulators.

Other communities tha I know of are Fifa and Football Manager ones, Fallout, Battlefield, ARMA, and many others that @fredyellowone mentioned.

Unfortunately, it will only happen when the sales numbers drops severely. If so happens, Sony will have to act.

The fact that there aren't many rims from real manufacturers does not bother me.

What bothers me is the fact that for the most part, the rim choices are so inexplicably dull. They look average at best, there is little variety bar about four outliers. Most wheel selections would not suit various classes of cars like muscle cars or older sports cars. The limited rim diameter options do not help much either.

This is the variety I would expect for a game with 50+ rims:



I find PD tripling the rim count by having 3 different base colours for an unimaginative wheel selection just to brag about "thousands" of customisation options just...sad.
