Aah, I guess standard cars are another thing that's really subjective then. Some people will say they look like a pile of dog 🤬 whereas others wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a GT5 premium and a GT4 standard.
I'll go with subjective.

GT5 Gamespot review from Justin Calvert :

"This accessible but realistic driving simulation is both sublime and subpar." And he gave the game a 8.

I expect GT6 to be lower than that.

Same here, around the 7 mark this time I'm guessing. Journalists hate it even more than us when their points of criticism fall in deaf man's ears.

That makes no sense and I'm sure if you think about it a bit, you'll come to the same conclusion.

When viewing the tracks in Arcade Mode, wouldn't it have been better to list all of the track locations with reverse/weather/time options shown once you select the location/track? It would save us from having to flick through pages to find a track and it would generally look better.

Or is this PD's way of making it look like there's more tracks than there actually is?

I wonder which is GT's lead designers vision. They don't seem to pay attention to their customers complaints or market tendencies. it's as if they work enclosed in their little world. That's not how a designer work.

Go read the article currently heading the news page - then see if you are willing to say the same thing again.

In the coming days, I think I will write a big lenghty and constructive letter to KAZ, then find someone to translate it from french to japanese, then ship it to PD headquarters.

At least, I will try to do my part.

BTW : is it me or some people on here are very rude and can't accept any form of criticism? It's like they are around here just to praise PD and post comments to piss and troll everyone with a different opinion than they have. They act like if they had their cookies, and looking at us, laughing at all our valid concerns.

And two of those guys are on this very thread, posting very frequently to say the least. ^

This. Just look at THIS.

I know the pic is low res... but how much can it change if we had a good quality pic of it??? I guess not much...

I have to admit, some standards do look improved... But still not the standard that you would expect from a high end series as GT. I wonder what they could have done with the time spent on upgrading these standards. All good that they upgraded the Formula GT cars, but why not ad some variations to them other than different liveries?

And the AI stil looks bad. I would admit if there was a real improvent but I just don't see it. I don't wan't to restrict my engine to 70% of it's power just to have something that looks like a race.

The word "vision" that they use nowadays describes it the best, they just do what they feel like what might look odd to us (and me), but like many PD apologists state "it's the japanese way of doing things".

I have this love-hate relationship with PD the last years just because of that, love them for their brilliant physics and the way they implemented the day/night cycles now which also ups the romantic factor, but hate them for ignoring what we wanna see from them and giving us a game that doesnt make sense; how can you be brilliant in one way just to screw up the other part so badly...

Anyway i'm still confused as to buy it next month, or waiting it out. It's that beautiful girlfriend with the nasty character, you wanna leave her definitely but somehow she manages to draw you back.

Rembemer the PS1 and PS2 days? There was so much good comming out of Japan back then:) I really wonder what happened. Now I look at my pile of around 40+ PS3 games and the only good Japanese games I see are Demon's Souls en Dark Souls. I also like the Yakuza games but I can see why others may not like them.

I don't think that letter would go through. Just saying.

The western influence is becoming more and more apparent?

I've had with it with this damn franchise, everything from the standards, to the sounds is just pathethic. Now, they not only fail to deliver, but they try to lie and give false information to the consumers. They've lost all my respect. I'm skipping the PS4 as well to be honest. They don't need new harware, they need to stop, re-think and re-built their entire scheme. I hope to god that Sony steps in and make some changes, If I was in charge, I would've found Kaz a new job since GT5P.
