Kaz needs to pack his ***** and LEAVE! He still has not been able to get the job done in the last 3 years let alone 8 if you count GT5. A.I is trash, menus are garbage, the sounds are insulting and the graphics have taken a step BACK! This guy just blows my mind... You include a gimmick lunar mission but don't update the a.i and sounds??? THE CORE OF THE GAME?? Haha my goodness. my parents bought me gt1 when I was 4 and been a loyal fan until 2010 when the beta I mean GT5 came out.. GT6 put the nail in the coffin for me. I am embarrassed for Kaz.. He has been doing this for 15 years and Dan Greenwalt the head at forza has created a more complete driving experience than PD in HALF the time! spend months crafting a car only for it to sound like a dyson powerball vacuum cleaner? Just.... Wow dude... I'm seriously considering buying a xbox one for forza 6 in 2015. They should have 400+ cars ALL "premium" on top of Forza 5 and its planned dlc with the 2 year dev time and about 20 to 25 tracks which is more than sufficient. 1200 Cars? Over half of that are pos PS2 ERA scrap. gt5 has 1147 cars. they only added 60 cars give or take in 3 years?? What have they been doing?? Oh thats right GT academy which nobody could give two ***** about and the so called gran turismo movie. Get your head out your arse YAMAUCHI and CONCENTRATE on what has got you to where you are in the first place. NOT the NISSAN oh I mean gt academy NOT some ***** movie and NOT the DAMN moon!! I am SOOO ****ing happy the sales are 1/5 of GT5. TIME to get wake up call. We'll see how long you **** around when the sony execs are giving you the eye...

It's amazing how low GT6's sales are in spite of decent reviews across the board (generally speaking). It looks like a lot of hardcore fans have been fooled once already and won't fall for the same again (me included). The casual fans seemingly do not care for another GT game on the ps3 especially one that still has poor sounds (sounds being 1/3rd of the experience in my opinion).

The pressure PD are under with GT7 will be very high, it needs to have decent damage (including mechanical), decent AI, consistent quality (quality over quantity, less is more sometimes), decent framerate, and most of all, decent sounds (probably the single biggest element GT is crying out for, well that and fast AI!).

PD managed to pull the wool over our eyes with GT5, we were taken in by the fancy graphics, will we fall for the same graphics come GT7?

Can't be the marketing tough:

https://www.gtplanet.net/gran-turismo-6-comes-to-life/

Apart from that the game also received equal hype in the gaming press as before; i guess we weren't the only ones being disillusioned with GT5 and people just held off till release to see what the game was about.
Sure, hype in the gaming press, events held here and there - most of which were to attract interest of fans, enthusiasts and to give the impression that GT6 is the #hit. But I've personally seen very little, at least locally, that aims to reach out to the casuals. But as said, it's purely a guess why the game is doing poorly sales wise and why it might end up being the worst selling title in the franchise thus far.

I do however believe that it has more to do with people getting burned by GT5 than anything. Throw in next-gen hype and you've got an even clearer picture of it. Installbase and meaningless avarage scores on Metacritic don't mean anything if you still can't deliver an experience worth one's time or money.

93/10 (10/10 sound)

This was news to me.

I love how they cut the prize cars from 100+ in gt5 to 30 in gt6.. I also LOVE how they cut the payouts to minuscule levels. People ranted about this in gt5 pre-seasonal's and they finally patched in the day% bonus and some superb payout events via seasonal's. What does Kaz do? He goes back and does the same thing AGAIN after people already complained about it! ENTER MICRO-TRANSACTIONS! Beat career mode and I only have 3 million.... Online payouts are even more humorous. 5 laps on Apricot Hill in a 6 guy room and I only get 2,547 dollars? LOL. You want that $20,000,000 Ferrari 250 GTO? Have fun... Also he gave the endurance events the AXE for whatever reason.. 24 minutes of le mans is the longest event and that only gives 130k. Absolutely absurd...I sure as hell am not going to grind to have a decent garage. Especially when all the "wantable" cars are +500,000 up.

This so much! Before the seasonal's I had to birthday glitch to get the cars I wanted in GT5. Only a lunatic can defend the ridiculous things Kaz does. Same with the speed/0-60/ 400m tests. People wanted these to be in, they get it in GT5 after DLC and now they remove it from GT6??? Why? Why?? Why???

Exactly. The guy is on a different world. Probably the moon... LOL! Seeing as how the B Day glitch is non existent in GT6 I don't see how I am ever going to get the 20,000,000 Ferrari 250 GTO and the 7,000,000 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Passo Corto. Why this dumbarse removed a critical feature for the drag community which I personally don't participate in because I drift mostly but respect at the same time is beyond insanity. Kaz needs to have an IQ test. Anyone with any intelligence would not be talking about mapping the stars in sky.. They would be fixing the broken sounds, and a.i... Which SHOULD have been fixed years ago. Don't even get me started on the car choices for premiums he's made. I'll start up on that later once I've gotten some sleep. I'm moving on to PCars.. Time to go pick up a ps4 for christmas.

And don't forget all the people claiming it's just a driving simulator and it's is all about the driving but then the games makes you grind "races" over and over to buy all the cool cars. If it really was about driving and celebrating cars, all cars would be just unlocked from the start.

If you're going to force people to do stuff in your game for hours atleast try to make it somewhat good. I would not even complain much if the AI was slow, I complain because the AI is stupid. No matter how slow you are, you dont brake mid corner when you don't have to!

My only real gripe with the game so far is how they nerfed the money :(

They're basically trying to cash in on their fancy new microtransactions, and it's so infuriating

I would relax and put the toys back in the GT pram.

Won't be long before the seasonal events start dumping out more cash.

The more advanced career events are more generous too.

Add to that the possibility of earning online credits and you are there.

I think if these things were too easy to come by they would be less of a big deal. There would certainly be posts on this thread about the imbalance of the game economy towards it being too easy.

Just watched a online stream of gt 6 lol the chat was insane half of the people were asking the streamer to prove it was gt 6 cause everything looked like gt 5 and i felt the sound was so bad that i muted the stream

Absolutely, I could record some GT5 footage with the HUD off, give it a little bit more contrast, upload it to youtube and call it GT6, 90% of the people would fall for it.

It's the same console with the same processing power, what did you expect? Even though it's on a last gen 7 year old console the game still holds up well. It's $60 not $600. Not many things in life you can buy for $60 and you get hundreds of hours of enjoyment out of it. And if you aren't getting enjoyment out of it why are you even talking about the game? If you compare it to current gen it will be close but not quite. But then it costs $60 not $60+$400. See?

with microtransactions the focus its hard to say whats the real price of the game but i just only started playing gt 5 like 5 months ago , plenty of time to go before to look at gt 6.

If ea and codemasters can manage to implement new stuff with their yearly releases of f1 and nfs why not pd ? instead of using the old stuff

It is not physically possible for Polyphony Digital to fulfill their dreams and deliver on their promises in their current state. They have had the best part of seven-eight years to deliver a game you could call "complete", and they have failed twice to do so.

We've all heard the stories of the programmers practically living from their desks since they have set themselves so much work to complete. Sorry, but when you've got to that point, you:

a) hire more people to work on the game, or

b) outsource to other developers

The former should be even more possible today since they are the signature exclusive racing title on the PlayStation and a household brand. Sony will continue to give them all the money in the world.

In the case of the latter; they must be so vain or have OCD so bad that they can't accept not doing the work themselves. Turn 10 and the Forza series are a shining example of outsourcing. You cannot build a game on the scale of Gran Turismo or Forza by yourself, since it would take far too long to model every car and track. Outsourcing is essential to get stuff done over a time-frame that doesn't become silly. There have been five Forza Motorsport games since Gran Turismo 4. In comparison, there have been 2.5 Gran Turismo games.

Go figure...

I wouldn't necessarily say that. People do no not gauge the difficulty of a game via the economic system. People gauge the difficulty through they A.I system which Polyphony is still lacking on. I can't help but feel like Kaz doesn't give a damn about out us anymore if he did he would NOT go BACK and do things that got him so much heat in the first place! People were PISSED with the GT5 economy pre-seasonals. What does this arsehole do?? He goes back and makes it just as worse! Why can't he development with everyone else. Where is his common sense? I am finished with the GT series as of right now. Kaz is nothing but a heap of empty promises that have come out a horses arse. I simply cannot believe how loyal GT fans are. We are loyal to a FAULT. Nothing will change until we do not buy. Which from the looks of this game selling 1/5 of GT5 is finally happening. People can only tolerate so much... 60 cars in 3 years? NO A.I development? NO Sound development? STILL have a TERRIBLE menu system.. Rain effects are worse than GT5 and the screen tear has made this virtually unplayable.. This is BEYOND pitiful.. It's embarrassing..

I think the big thing is, we'll have to go through a lot of bug fixes. I was locked up when GT5 came out but got out just in time to experience quite a few improvements. It is my hope that we see the same here. I have to admit that I am surprised at the people that are complaining of Lambo spins and garage fill-ups. I remember in GT1 driving my 92 Prelude for weeks before I could earn enough to buy a decent Supra, which only then let me be competitive.

Think I'll take my time and enjoy this *****. One last hurrah before PS4 mania has to be accepted.

I like the new/old economy. :indiff: Maybe I like to work up the credits over time, gets me driving more and I do like driving in the game.

STILL have a TERRIBLE menu system..

How is it "terrible"? It's a lot better and definitely user friendly. Better then GT5 that's for sure.

I have yet to race in the rain, but I have also yet to experience any screen tearing. Is it really that bad that it makes you stop playing? Or is it everything else you've ranted about?
