Brilliant new patch, now all we have to do is wait another 6 months for another one which might have 1 new car..
Six months!?! You wild, crazy optimist, you.

I laughed. But I'm really quite sad inside.Woah, now. Don't lets get carried away here. A car in six months is all well and good but a track as well?
That dog won't hunt, Monsignor.
It's supposed to be the real driving simulator (yeah, I know that phrase has done the rounds, but it's the first time I've personally used it and I think it is the most succinct phrase for this particular situation). They'll have to think about dropping that slogan if that's the way things are going.Go Karts in GT6 now have SRF and Traction Control...... So now anybody who was struggling with driving some of the purest driving machines in the world can just turn on an imaginary aid instead of learning to get better. What the actual 🤬?
Maybe it was mentioned on Japanese forums that karts were hard to drive, and they picked that feedback up? It was said here also, so there must have been some folk complaining where PD actually read it, and then they chose to put TC on themI'm just wondering, who the hell requested it? Probably nobody, but Kaz had to think of something pointless to waste time on instead of working on the features everyone wants.

@Imari in humorous mode, haha.Woah, now. Don't lets get carried away here. A car in six months is all well and good but a track as well?

Maybe soon we'll just have Go Karts with SRF & T/C and Red Bull fan cars! Call it The Real Fantasy Simulator. Every vehicle can have an auto pilot function in case it all gets too difficult for the person playing the game and they can't be bothered to improve their skills through practice and perseverance. It's supposed to be the real driving simulator (yeah, I know that phrase has done the rounds, but it's the first time I've personally used it and I think it is the most succinct phrase for this particular situation). so we get B-spec after all ... ...instant gold on all "challenges" ... that will draw all trophy hunters to GT ...Maybe soon we'll just have Go Karts with SRF & T/C and Red Bull fan cars! that's a nice gesture for the future ... Vision GT DAF .... mothership of CVT (Variomatic) 👍They could have just added a CVT (continually variable transmission) as a purchasable custom part and be done with it.
... the karts caught aids!
I for one totally support a VGT DAF. We could all reverse at 70mph too if they had CVT's. Not sure what use that'd be but it'd be fun!that's a nice gesture for the future ... Vision GT DAF .... mothership of CVT (Variomatic) 👍
It REALLY doesn't matter what they add, as long as they give an individual the option to race how they want within the game.Maybe soon we'll just have Go Karts with SRF & T/C and Red Bull fan cars! I just don't understand why Gran Turismo of all games would have such a silly thing. What the hell is realistic about a kart with any kind of electronic aid at all? They could have just added a CVT (continually variable transmission) as a purchasable custom part and be done with it. At least that exists and behaves in a similar fashion.
Right I'm done here. I've only been in this thread for an hour or so but all my positivity about GT6 is being drained because the karts caught aids!
It REALLY doesn't matter what they add, as long as they give an individual the option to race how they want within the game.
Some like the aids some don't, Simulator or not that's besides the point, make the game friendly for everyone I just love the online options where one can make their own room to their liking, you drive how you want to drive so let others drive how they want to drive it's about enjoying the game you purchased.
As for me I'm glad I could careless about the kart racing part, I do my career mode pass the test & move on, then will never touch another kart again, just like some of my friends all they do is Nascar they wouldn't get in as GT-R, Lambo, Ferrari, Ralley's etc. They win a car they sell it done. But thats the beauty of preference.
As for GT 6 goes it's total disaster pure junk money wasted but then again it's my opinion others love but the Majority Hate it with total FRUSTRATION, WHAT A LET DOWN.
This is exactly why I tend to stay out of threads like this (I intend to try harder). How can you so assuredly say the majority hate GT ? Have you asked each and every person on GTP? Or are you (and I expect this is more likely) just going off the threads you frequent? Those with negative views and complaints will always be more vocal than those with more positive outlooks. The majority hate it with total frustration. 100% true. Still, KAZ don't give a **** about it. Or us. Thought he may be surprised when GT7 will come out. We will remember.

As for "KAZ don't give a **** about it. Or us", well I'm not sure where to start! Maybe with the fact that GT is his baby and we make it possible by buying it; giving him the funds to make another one, and another. I'm pretty sure he cares about his product and its buyer.
I admire the passion and enthusiasm in your post but imagine how that enthusiasm could be used if it were to be used constructively. You're clearly passionate about this game so why not think about what makes you so unhappy about it and think what would need to happen to change that for the better. Write that down, politely, and send it to PD in a letter. Who knows, if you're constructive, polite and respectful enough you may end up being partially responsible for the improvement of the entire series. Instead of contributing to the childish "this game is ****, Kaz hates us all, I'm never buying another one of PD's games" bull:censored:!
As far as I know, no kart has ever had traction control in the history of karting. Karts have three drive types. Slipper clutch with single gear ratio, direct drive with single gear ratio and transmissions. Since all karts have a live (fixed) rear axle and no LSD, the only way to implement traction control would be through engine limiting or electronic clutch override of some sort. Hardly practical, or necessary, since karts are race machines not street cars worried about losing a little grip here or there.I just don't understand why Gran Turismo of all games would have such a silly thing. What the hell is realistic about a kart with any kind of electronic aid at all? They could have just added a CVT (continually variable transmission) as a purchasable custom part and be done with it. This game is now dead too me. Have fun with the abysmal sales for GT7.
Not sure how old you are, but I'm 30 and have no intention of giving up videogames any time soon.whatever it's a game i'm getting bored of videogames in general (bad side of getting older and older)
Oh I know I posted something's about that topic check my profile & you'll see, he's a greedy Cash Cow Deluxe. The majority hate it with total frustration. 100% true. Still, KAZ don't give a **** about it. Or us. Thought he may be surprised when GT7 will come out. We will remember.
Allowing SRF in a Kart Time Trial would be ridiculous and also a separate issue, but given PD's history, it's as inevitable as night and day.
