I don't understand how can Kaz be so blind to all what's going on in the racing genre. You don't have to look far to have Forza 5 all over your face with GT6 vs Forza 5 and so on. I guess Kaz doesn't use the internet very often...

Well, if I could do one thing to Kaz, then it would be to sit him down in front of GRID Autosport, set the AI difficulty to Hard, and let him race. He will have the time of his life driving. Then, sit him down in front of GT6. Notice his lack of enjoyment in racing against the AI that starts about nine million miles away from you.

Maybe we should post that as a question in Kaz Q&A? Like: "Have you played any other racing games? If not, why don't you try them, that'll help improving Gran Turismo."

*Turns on PS3 to play GT6. Looks in lobby with nothing interesting to join in. Drives two cars in free run mode. Gets bored and turns off GT6 and goes back to playing GRID Autosport*.

GT6 is officially boring to me now, and I didn't even bother with the seasonal events because I know the AI in GT6 sucks... Don't even get me started on the sounds. :yuck:

Just tried the Like the Wind event on Indianapolis in a stock McLaren F1 on Sports: Hard tires and I noticed something very strange and irritating when I watched the replay.

I was battling an R390 Race Car that was going 20mph faster than me on the straights and on the turns but could not pass me no matter what...even though he was going 20mph faster (makes no sense). This went on from the second lap to the end of the race and as soon as he passed the finish line half a second behind me, he shot pass me as if some kind of weird force was holding him back behind me the whole time. My final thought was "seriously, PD?".

Yet another questionable Career Mode design choice by PD: slowing the slow A.I. down to make the casuals feel like they're the fastest drivers ever.

Oh my God, no matter how good a product/service is, there is always always complain complain complain complain and endless crying.

For less than $50, I am quite content with what is being offered with this game. The physics is very real, the graphics is decent, the game play and content is fine. There are abundance of cars, and tracks as well. I used to autocross/race track with real cars outside and compare that experience with this game, the physics is very very good and accurate at least with the Lexus ISF. One section of real race cost anywhere between 100-200 dollars not to mention spending tons of money on brake/tires and maintenance that runs in the thousands $XXXX.

In this game, I can race with many cars on many tracks for a long long time for less than 1 time fixed fee of $50. Of course, sitting in a real car gives you the G-Force feedback in cornering in which none of these regular simulations can't offer but still the visual, the thrill and everything else is very very real.

Just forget about the crying and use the time to play and smile instead. Give me a break!

This thread should be closed already.

I'm just thinking outloud. Sorry if i offend anyone.

I think this thread was created so there was somewhere to whine and cry, because whining and crying was clogging up every other thread. Sounds good, in theory, but the other threads are still full of whine and cry as well.

You could make a whole forum out it, but that would probably be too much copy and paste work for the moderators. Be careful though, I don't think we are allowed to whine and cry about whining and crying in the whining and crying thread.

There is no racing in Gran Tourismo non whatsoever, unless your talking online.
Even online I have hard time finding a room that runs tuning prohibited, i guess thats my weird taste in racing.

That will not work because Kaz wants a racing game that is different to any other racing game like having standard cars from other GT series in a game which Kaz is entitled to do that if he wants to and why should he get ideas from other racing games there is nothing wrong with the Gran Turismo series and it heading in the right direction. I am still going to buy GT7 on PS4 because I love the whole series since GT1.

If he doesn't play other games as has been rumoured, how can he possibly know his game is different, or if different is better or just different or maybe worse?

So, discount GT6 and throw in a bunch of free cars... I wonder why. Could it be that there is new competition and more on the way? Is PD and Sony noticing that fewer are logging into GT6?

I have a bunch of friends from GT5 that got GT6 and haven't logged into the Playstation Network for over a month. When they logon, they play some shooter game.

I hope FSporIS (from above) will enjoy GT6 as I did for a long time. Then is was done and so was I. The competition to GT has arrived.

I can't see Kaz playing other racing games because in his mind, oh wait let me rephase that, his "stick in 1997 Dreamland", he still believes GT is better than all and is king when its not ANYMORE! Other racing games are kicking GT's 🤬 so hard, all its fans that's been with it for 15 years are moving on to better games since the damage caused by GT5.

Oh and I just spotted a "Leave PD and GT ALOOOONE" post above. He must have not read the title of the thread.:lol::lol:

From my full list of PSN contacts, around 70 were met and added during GT5's life cycle, only 5 rarely play GT6 and most of them haven't logged in for months. Some of them actually gave up on the whole PlayStation platform only a year into GT5's life cycle.

"Different" is good in many ways, but not this. There is just nothing right about GT6 (aside from the simcade driving physics which are nice to drive, but not the unrealistic handling of MR cars [Audi R8 much?]) at all! The AI starting 30 seconds ahead of you, the poor competitiveness of the AI, the constant grinding for credits, the poor sound, the lack of responding to the community, and many other things wrong with the game. If the game was actually good in every aspect and not just a bunch of cars, then I would start to actually enjoy GT6.

GT7: Delay, delay, delay, delay, delay! Three years later, nothing's actually improved. We have no track maker (that should let you can draw a track on and adjust every parameter of every inch of road) of any sort, we still have crappy sounds that sound like vacumn cleaners, and the game is just GT5.000000000000002. Progress is not in PD's vocabulary. Let me show another graph:

Well, I'm probably done with PD. Project CARS, please come out sooner! I'll stick with GRID Autosport for a long time with PCARS when PCARS comes out...

I am not moving on I have been with the GT series for 15 years ok, TokoTurismo do not say all its fans that's been with it for 15 years are moving on to better games since the damage caused by GT5, that is a load of rubbish and if everyone moved on and how come members are talking about the GT6 in other threads about online Time Trials and other races so GT6 is still going strong and TokoTurismo you and I know this but you are never going to get a perfect game.

Simply stated, by GT8 (if it comes out), most, if not all of the fanbase will be dead. Plain and simple if PD doesn't get their game up.

I'll be buying GT7 day 1 no matter what. Its basically me giving PD the last chance I think they deserve after 5 straight good games in their history (GT1, GT2, GT3, GT4, GT5P). Im giving them the benefit of the doubt that GT5 and GT6 were screwups thanks to the PS3 hardware being a nightmare, and the slim possibility they may actually listen to the community's biggest complaints this time around.

Dead in what sense, like physically or figuratively because I still think they're getting a good number of newer fans that are probably around the age we were when starting GT. So I mean it could keep perpetuating

You know that will never happen but if it did I will come to your country and I will shout you and your family to the best restaurant in town.

So, a good number of fans are unexpectedly still around. Thank you for pointing out the obvious. However, I hope you recognize the fact that PD lost many of us due to their two latest utterly mediocre games.

Surely, there will never be a ''perfect'' game either. Though, that's really not an excuse for poor AI, awful sounds, a dreadful career mode and decade old assets in a game released 2013 (not mention GT7, whenever it might be released). My interest in the franchise is waning quickly and is no longer an obvious purchase nor a reason for me to buy the next generation of console. Thankfully, there are better options out there.

But all the other racing games out there at the moment you will always have members talking about that game saying this and that not right but you can not please everyone about racing games but remember it is only a game and not real.

The thing is, the game developers ACTUALLY respond to that feedback and ACTUALLY put it into their games. GRID Autosport said something (I cannot find the quote) that they were going to make a community page and actually take it into consideration into their game. PD just doesn't do that.

The differences lie in what exactly isn't right with a particular game. Since we are talking 'racing' games here, one of the most important aspects is if there is any racing involved.

GT5 & according to this forum GT6 (I didn't buy GT6 despite having played all previous GT's because GT5 was so bad) don't have any offline racing.

The 'races' are designed to let the player win no matter how bad they are. The 'races' in GT5 are like arcade challenges:
"Pass 16 cars from the back in 3 laps to get a star",
"earn enough stars to move on to the next level"

GT5 & GT6 are more like arcade platform games.

In real racing, most drivers over their career lose many more races than they win you know, because races are meant to be highly competitive (otherwise what is the point?)

And before you say it is a driving game - why is there no, "just driving" scenarios? Read the back of the box, it is meant to be a racing game, but with no racing.

But it is a racing game and if there where no cars in the game it would not be called a racing game. I have to go online now because their are some races to attend and yes I can see other race cars so it must be called a race then.
