đź‘Ť đź‘Ť for Johnnypenso and Imari.
I just downloaded GAS (gotta love slooow internet, started yesterday morning, finished THIS morning... ).
Have yet to boot it up and try it out, but by the opinions going around, I won't be disappointed. :)

I shall keep you posted on the button mapping. If need be, I'll buy my nephew's wheel.

Button mapping should have been a default system feature for every game.

Custom button mapping has always been in GT.

NFS Rivals was in my PS3 all of 10min. Only ONE controller layout and it entirely SUCKED. Not just gas/brake but everything.

I think it is a feature for any serious or semi-serious racing game these days.

 They're the best i've seen so far on PS3, not only are they beautifully made but have you seen the amount of stuff going around the track? They're alive!

GT's look very sterile in comparison.
Oh, the graphic detail on components like the engine and liveries is very low, but what goes on aside from the car really sets it apart - that was one of the hallmarks of Codemasters' games from the last generation. They actually felt like proper, living races.

The whole GT series is sterile IMO.

If only it was. Then maybe it would stop having children with the same inheritable genetic diseases, and adopt one of those fine strapping young racist babies from the orphanage.

Of course, by racist I mean a child who is great at racing, like an artist is great at art, or a botanist is great at botany. ;) And by child, I mean game.

GIVE US RACIST GAEM NOW PLOX. :D

Kaz is on an endless all expense paid vacation and the only thing he wants is a new photo-op.

When it is time for GT7 to come out, the diehard GT players wont believe the promises and hype. We've been burnt before.

Sony wont realize what's going on until GT7 comes out and they find out no one wants it enough to pay for a $400 PS4, a new $200+ wheel, and the online services required month after month.

GT5 to GT6 $60
GT6 to GT7 $700+

Sorry to sound so negative. :indiff:

For under $200 you can get the Thrustmaster T80, the only PS4 supported wheel AFAIK.

http://www.thrustmaster.com/press/t...ial-wheel-playstation-4-t80-driveclub-edition

Buried in the fine print you will see this:

A wheel for unrivaled performance...
Sensations provided by the T80 - DRIVECLUB Edition are also incredibly lifelike, thanks to the wheel’s realistic linear resistance with automatic re-centering via Thrustmaster’s exclusive Bungee Cord technology.

Yes kids, for less than $200 you too can have linear resistance made possible by the latest in bungee cord technology...

Thunderbirds are GO! :embarrassed: Oops.

Button mapping, fully customizable CONFIRMED for GAS. đź‘Ť :)

Oh, and it feels so sweet, even using my trusty old DS3 controller. My nephew gets to keep his wheel a little longer. See some of you guys online at some point I hope.

Totally agree, today, by todays standards, CUSTOM mapping should be a given I think.
I'm very pleased CM had the intelligence to add it into theirs. đź‘Ť

None of the older wheels from any manufacturer are supported yet. There may be some info from SMS this week regarding PCars but it's just rumour so far.
We've been waiting long enough for someone to open his mouth @SMS, Sony or Fanatec already.
About time we get some clarity on this matter

Just stumbled across this, work in progress but seems promising

Oh yeah, I'd better whine or cry to keep on topic.

Boo hoo poor me. :(
Don't know if these tools/adapters will be able to make wheels fully compatible (meaning things like FFB work), but if they do thank god for the pirates

I'm starting to think Logitech pulled out when next gen consoles arrived, because they knew already that none of the next gen consoles would be compatible, and they didn't want to redo their tech...

Yup, like I said on 7/7/14, that step to GT7 is going to be VERY EXPENSIVE! And then we get to pay monthly to be online!
GT7 had better be a lot more than GT5.2

I do not remember him saying that at all, and no, I didn't intend the graph to create the Japanese Flag. However, I think that's quite funny that you've pointed that out!

I recall something like that. I may find that interview on YouTube. He was asked whether he's aware and/or has played other racing games like Forza and what not and he said no.

Well, then I think that's why he is so ignorant to the game and how to make it better. If you could make Kaz do one thing, what would it be?
