My sincerest hope is that you will be correct.

However, I'm not holding my breath.

It will, everyone know that GT5 was an unfinished game and still is a little bit... Know that PD can handle properly the ps3, they can focus on other things, like GT feel haha, even the GT6 normal cover makes me think of GT4 or GT3 i don't know why.

GT6 could be the best of the series, it does indeed have the pontential. PD just needs to execute what they need and want to do with the game properly. Of course, that can be a tall order for Polyphony Digital

Alright, one more complaint/whine/rant is the lack of a livery editor possibly for GT6. I just don't see why Kaz is so much against the idea of doing it. If so many other companies are able to implement one in their driving games, then it should be no problem for GT. For crying out loud, I just want to paint my Dodge Viper GTS blue and put white stripes on it! It can't be that hard to let me do so! *sigh*

it's goint to be the best GT ever!!!
Considering the fact that GT5 isn't exactly hard to top, GT6 may very well be the best Gran Turismo game to date. However, it'll still be lagging behind everyone else in certain and important areas, sadly.

As it looks now, even with a lot of the much welcomed improvments, GT6 will still be suffering from the same issues that GT5 had and will once again miss the community's most requested feature(s).

Although PD are clearly trying their best to demolish the lines between premium and standard cars, the visual inconsistency will still remain. Features such as a livery editor has yet to see the light of day, not to mention drivetrain and engine swaps which have been one of the main attractions when making hybrids. And sounds, well, let's just not go there.

They're getting there, or at least it seems like it, but it's all happening at the speed of a snail.

PD implemented so much wishes of the community, but community ask always for more and more, that's normal. For sound and AI, remember whzn kaz said it is hard to do but they are going to completely make AI and sound new, Maybe not at GT6 day one, but I guess t'll come in a patch, knowing how PD support their games with patches ;)

Or it might never happen, you know Kaz and his ways, he likes to talk a lot but he never delivers, pretty much like a clown. The rest of PD is just trying to make a new GT game but this lunatic thinks he's reinventing the world.

Which wishes did they implement?

Let's keep in mind that we have rules here that apply to all shall we.

You mean, in the same way as you fail to deliver any example to support that statement?

Spitefully put.....

Here's the thing (it's clobberin time, I kid, I kid), People have been dissatisfied with the sounds since GT4 at least (I certainly was). I thought those would be sorted for GT5, but no.

Complaints about AI have been going since at least GT3. I don't know about you but (admittedly I haven't played GT5 for some time) I wasn't impressed.

OK the livery editor is newer on the list of requests but people were asking for it before the release of GT5, so it's not that unreasonable to expect it for GT6.

Now, the topic of premium vs standard. Had Kaz conducted a poll and said "Right here's what we are proposing to do. 1000+ cars but the majority of them will have no cockpit and be essentially upscaled GT4 quality models. Alternatively we could do 200-300 high quality models with full interior. Lastly, we could compromise and have slightly less stunning car models/interiors, but 600+ all with cockpit views. Which would you like?", I'd certainly opt for the third choice.

Right that's some of the big topics out of the way. But continuing with this hypothetical "if Kaz asked me" here's a couple of others. The animations of hands on steering wheel. Rather than have a linear, proportionate animation, have it so it is 1 to 1 for the majority of the rotation and then the last 15°-20° account for the rest.

Paint chip system. Get rid of that and instead give me the ability to buy paint for specific cars from the manufacturer. In the absence of or incorporated into the livery editor (when it eventually comes along) a colour wheel to make custom shades.

(If you've read my previous posts this will bore you) FOV and seat position adjustment. It is so important and my biggest pet hate with games that omit it. Every racing title (and FPS) should have the ability to explicitly set FOV.

And lastly, more options for setting up races in arcade mode. That includes number of cars, which cars, whether or not there is qualifying and maybe even the ability to set up a custom series of races. (Again, I've not played for some time so this may be an option already) start time of race (even morning, noon, evening and night would be acceptable).

I could likely think of some more things but if what I've listed above were improved/implemented I'd be as happy as a pig in mud.

Oooh, after thought! M3 E30 (road version), Top Gear Reasonably priced cars and more tracks (Now I'm just being selfish).

I would also like this question to be answered.

Upgrade standard cars (better looking, some have good cockpit, tyre choice...), update sounds for almost every cars, upgrade course maker with more features, a UCD with the rare cars, helmets, choose day/night, rain on track offline. About AI, they did a verrrry good job with the arcade AI set on 10, they now race verry correctly. possibility to save race during endurance races.

EDIT: oh and of course, when we all asked for SPA...

We had to pay for spa and theres no proof they included it because of our wishes

Proof? Everytime i went on gtplanet before spa, EVERYONE were complaining of that track not beeing in the game.
Yes, But that doesnt mean they modelled spa because of our wishes after gt5 was released, They could have finished spa before gt5's release for all we know (and that might be the case if anyone can chime in), But lets be clear PD are not doing us favours, We are paying for their product and those wishes you say they included were wished for because the gt5 they released was so poor,

It just makes me laugh how people protect PD as if its their little brother, The one thing people on here really wish for is a full livery editor, Improving AI in gt5 and other things they did etc was not a wish by consumers that they listened to but a demand (because they bought an unfinshed game) and some of those things were on the gt5 box but not on the disc, They are so cagey about gt6 and unwilling to give us clear details that i have to ask why are people so willing to blindly throw money at it and preorder it, They should give us game details before they give pre order details,

EDIT: lol at more events, Wow amazing if only i had time to do them but thanks to the in deph single player i could never find time

So? Who cares about you? :irked: Wasn't made for only you, was made for everyone due to not having more events to race in. A-Spec AND B-Spec lacked in this. WOW some people... :dunce:

And so would any reasonable developer.

Yes, then Seasonal events came... PD is REALLY listening us, believe me, they are everywhere!!! Noooooo!!!! lol
They pretty much ''had'' to. A-Spec had basically nothing going for it - it was short and shallow, at best. The EXP-system and the economics of the game were also imbalanced and partially broken from the very start. Seasonal events evidently countered all that. It was a ''must''.

A coincidence doesn't then mean that its as a direct result of us asking for it.

People have been asking for an E30 M3 since BMW first appeared in the series, we don't have one of them yet.

Correlation doesn't equal causality, and right now we have no proof that anything has been included because we have asked for it. What you making is a leap based on some of the things asked for appearing, while ignoring the far bigger list of thins that have been asked for that we have not had included.

Yes but your last words are odd dont you think considering what you typed before that?, And who said its about me? from your posts i've read the months kaz must be your father lol as you cant seam to be objective about gt, You guys are saying "ooh ooh dont forget they gave us extra events we must erect a statue of kaz" you cleary know why they gave them to us and that was because single player structure was extremely bad and clearly neglected, Point being it wasnt a wish but an absolute demand for what a lot of people felt ripped off for considering how many other things were on the box but not on the game,

Kaz could sell some of you guys an empty gt box and you would come out with all sorts of things to justify it

People asked for helmets?

Most features you mentioned are fairly standard updates - as in, they probably would've been included with GT5 on release if the game's development wasn't so hopelessly mismanaged. As many have mentioned, there is no proof that updates you mentioned were a result of community feedback. If you were a developer for a racing game, you wouldn't even need to ask the question.

Spa Francorchamps is a no-brainer. The track is held with such universal high regard that it's obvious that its inclusion in any racing game will be met with an overwhelmingly positive reception from the community. A cynic might see that as a reason why they released it as paid DLC instead of actually including it with the game in the first place.

The most ask for car on this site was the aventador and spa as a track more than any other. Sure people asked for other cars but spa was universal while I never heard any one ask for that bmw up until a few days ago.

There is no question PD know what the fans here want so yes some of these decisions are fan based however Spa is a no brainer,as well as the E30 which is indeed a very wanted car.

Do PD listen to consumers? Yes no doubt in my mind

DO PD deliver on the consumer's expectations? they didn't for GT5 and heres hoping they will with GT6.

Wow, for a whining and crying thread, I'm not seeing much whining or crying. Just saying.

EDIT: I swear it's not meant to offend anyone. I'm just saying you guys are bringing up great arguments, discussions, and critiques. Very different from what I was expecting here.
