So, Iracing can be played with keyboard or joypad ? Will that be just pointless for someone who spent a lot yearly for one of the most realistic sim racing on PC ... and even one willing to use joypad, how quick/consistent one can go ? Would it even be enjoyable ?

Another misconception that was disproven on this very forum!!! It doesn't cost that much. Probably as quick and consistent as one can go in GT games with a dual shock vs a wheel. Some will have a knack but many more wont. I'm not trying to make it about GT vs some other sim, just showing the facts is all. If you want to learn more go to the respective thread.
I meant on console :dopey:
:mischievous: Fact remains, also you kind of are moving the goal post don't ya think?

@LMSCorvetteGT2 Find or build a new PC that runs iRacing in max settings that never, or very very rarely drops below 24 FPS, and get back to me on that price. :) Im curious. :) and to be honest, my PS3 has a more powerful processor than my PC, but I have 12 times the ram(actually 16, but my motherboard killed off a GB because it didn't like it.. :P

Once again as I just told another user go to the thread and look for yourself this has been squashed a long time ago, I just don't like people winging facts around when there is evidence that shows otherwise. Also on the computer I'm running and talking to you on I can run pretty damn good on the game and it cost as much as PS3, slightly less (black Friday sale).

Well is there another game on console with more tracks and layouts? If I'm wrong then fair enough. But what I meant by what I said originally is that you cantcreally say theres a lack of tracks, that's all! :dopey:

Oh I agree with you, whoever said there was a lack of tracks is a joker, I just wanted to make clear that GT isn't the only one.

Low on track content?! Tell me another game that has 39 tracks with 100 variations?! :banghead:

I'm not satisfied with 39 tracks and 100 variations, when a fair chunk of quality tracks are missing from the game, just have a look at the Project Cars track list and compare the quality of that list to GT's and you'll get the gist of what I'm saying.

Big difference is the PCars is going to be on next gen, and they can handle more track content, the ps3 can't.

wait, so people are complaining about gt6 not having enough tracks, even though it has the most compared to every other other competitor?

Except for the one I just showed :sly:

Yeah but some one did complain about track content, yet out of all the things to worry about they some how pick something I'd say PD are finally doing right.

I know, but it's still wrong.

I agree with that the PS3 can have to same amount of tracks as a PS4, but the PS4, now would be faster, because you don't have to micro optimize it so that it fits in the PS3s low ram structure. Its not much, but its frees up enough development time for maybe 1 more track. or a couple extra variations of a track.

Are you telling me the old hardware like a ps3 could handle more tracks in a game than a next gen console and still have quality? I highly doubt that.
Dude, GT4 had the most tracks, and many of them were of the same quality as in GT5. It was on the PS2.

The console only loads one track at a time.

That's because on GT5 and 6 for the PS3 they had higher quality models than previous GTs, but the low amount of ram is very hard to work around and it makes development of tracks take longer. with more RAM with the PS4 it will be easier for them to develop equally or slightly better tracks, faster.

What?! Are you serious?! The blu ray is only part of it! Lol
You simply don't see what the limiting factor is.

I see how the "RAM is everything, the cause of everything and the reason of everything" brainwash worked on you.

It has nothing to do with RAM, nothing, not at all.

It does, I am part of a development team. "Ahh your texture is too high res! its lagging, can you resize it!" "What too?" "Oh, try 128x128" "Ok, but let me finish this first." *1 hour later* "It's fixed! ... 🤬 the scene is still takes up too much RAM!"

The only problem is that you're completely missing the point.

It's about the number of tracks, not about how difficult it is to make them. I never wanted to discuss your/that stuff.
