Did all of one livery on GTS but find myself doing a lot more on GT7. Saw this week's theme and had to enter my first GT Planet Photo competition since GT4!

Being Canadian, I'm a big Ice Hockey fan and the local team for me was the Vancouver Canucks. I've had an on-again off-again relationship with them spanning multiple decades. Likewise for a team no where near to me, the Buffalo Sabres. I couldn't decide which one I wanted to do and then decided, seeing as their base colours were both black, that I'd do both.

Both teams entered the National Hockey League in 1970 and neither have lifted the Stanley Cup (the prize for winning the championship).

These liveries are based on their away Jerseys the last time each went to the Championship finals in the 1990s.

For the Canucks, it's from 1994 where they wore what I consider their best jersey, 'The Skate'. The #10 on that side of the care was Pavel Bure's number; The Russian Rocket.

For the Sabres, it was in 1999 with Domink Hasek, 'The Dominator', in goal, though I've put another memorable number on there, #81, which was Miroslav Satan's.

Thanks for reading.

Luna Rossa

In 2021 Luna Rossa declared it's challenge for the 36th Americas Cup, once again with the Circolo della Vela Sicilia, and assumed the role of Challenger of Record for the 36th Americas Cup.

It was a fun challenge to "translate" the Luna Rossa boat design to a car. The Lamborghini was the closest car I was able to find that both shared the country of origin with Luna Rossa, while maintaining some design cues and common lines with the hull shape of the AC75 from last year.

If you are interested, a small aside;
The America's Cup, informally known as the Auld Mug is the oldest international competition still operating in any sport. America's Cup match races are held between two sailing yachts: one from the yacht club that currently holds the trophy (known as the defender) and the other from the yacht club that is challenging for the cup (the challenger).

There is no fixed schedule, with matches held several years apart on dates agreed between the defender and the challenger. The most recent America's Cup match took place in March 2021.

Nice one! I made a 458 Italia version of this back in GT Sport days (as well as an Aston Martin Team GB and Corvette Team USA...) Nice to see another sailing fan in the forums!

Regarding the spoiler pics...I had a couple ready to go (pit lane scape from Le Mans, race pic from Lake Maggiorre), 'till I re-read the spoiler pics guidelines....which meant my chosen spoilers were a no-go.
So, instead of fretting about it, I went sight-seeing in the states.
There you go.:D

As a LA Rams and NY Islanders fan for many, many years (lots of grief from both there until recently), and having made quite a few liveries for both teams on GTS, this contest fit me pretty well. Chose to do a new Rams livery mostly because of the recent Super Bowl victory. I hope this doesn't offend the gentleman with the Bengals entry...they played a great game and for most of that 2nd half I was fretting, pacing, cursing, whining, you name it, right down to the end. Lotta respect for the Bengals, they certainly earned it.

All decals on the car are Rams corporate sponsors (and the NFL of course). Nike manufactures the uniforms.

:D definitely not offended.
As a Belgian, I'm a general NFL fan with a slightly bigger love for some teams (Bengals, Chiefs, Giants and Packers), but for the most part I just love the game so if the game is good, then I'm happy.
And the Super Bowl this year was indeed an awesome game. Just hope that the Bengals do get their Super Bowl win soon, they're waiting long enough.

Even though I lived in the DFW area most of my life, I've never been to a Dallas Cowboys game. The 4 time NFL champions are a driving force in professional sports, but seem to struggle every January for the past few decades by getting beaten in the playoffs. However the diehard fans have hope for Americas team that will eventually land them another long overdue championship win. WE DEM BOYS!!

Here's the livery.

Bit of a rush to get this one in before the deadline as it's been a bit of a hectic month at work, but I couldn't pass up the chance at paying homage to the greatest football kit of all time, the Nintendo Fiorentina shirt. The classic retro stylings leant me towards using the Alfa Romeo 155 DTM touring car, two Italian (with a sprinkling of Argentine) greats!

I'm not dead guys - but my internet connection is. Pics won't load, because I'm on less than 3,5mbps right now. I'll do what I need, and thanks again to @Nuschel01 who will assist me with the poll again, with my connection it wouldn't be possible to sort so many pics and look through if all looks ok. I'll post the new theme tonight, so no worries there. Unless something happens, then it'll be up tomorrow. Everything is ready, sorta. :D
Also, @Touring Mars and @syntex123, both your spoilers are still empty ;)
Mine will stay empty. No internet to update the game. :D

/Mart out (for now)

Thank goodness you didnt base ths livery on their banned kit.

Welp, I have tried really hard to come up with something for this (as a last resort, I was actually going to repurpose a GTS design in red/white/black colors from the São Paulo FC, the club I once supported until I got so saturated with football that I simply stopped. In the end, felt cheap to do so, so I didn't go ahead with this).

But I'm still enjoying the competition and glad to be spoiled with great entries to choose from.

Even a cheap entry is better than no entry at all :D So get it done, you got 3.5h left :dopey:
Yeah, it's more than enough time because the hard part is done. The idea was to repurpose this as a reference to that Superleague Formula series from the end of the 2000s, using the São Paulo FC as the team.

But it doesn't feel right, part of the fun for me is coming up with new stuff.

So it’s Arsenal FC‘s iconic away shirt from the 1992 season, when the club got a bit carried away and let Adidas put their designs all over it. Instantly HATED by everyone with eyeballs (it’s a busy design to be sure) it was christened ‘the crushed wasp’ although these days it’s known as ’the bruised banana’. Because I thought it would make me more interesting, I decided it was my favourite shirt, and began to meet other like minded souls at European away games in the Noughties. Soon it went from cult status to design classic, and there have been re-issues by the club and Pharell Williams even made a version (which I would love to have done, having that ‘designed by’ cachet, but it was too difficult)

It’s been on my mind for ages to try this so when I saw the theme it had to be. It’s a tribute to the shirt more than an Arsenal design, I wanted it to look more shirt than livery; I have a vague urge to make a full team of cars, then set up a custom race with them all :) I’ve tried to replicate the holographic underlay of the real shirt, I decided at the last minute to tone it down, it gets really confusing when it flops under the busy main pattern.
