Under the sweet and polite surface, Americans are dangerous and highly entitled people. Democrats and Republicans are both war parties. One look at history proves it. We have been almost continuously at war, have boots on your ground, or interfering in other people's politics/elections since 1942, and that's putting it mildly. The people elect and reelect serial warmongers with nary a look back. And why not? We benefit. We have BY FAR the world's best economy for a major nation. We impose our currency, the dollar, on the world. We impose our rule and will on the world as best we can. Sometimes it's subtle, but usually not. Occasionally a peacenik like McGovern or Paul or Tulsi will run for president. Zero chance. When you have a tiger by the ears, you can't let go.

I think you are vastly overestimating the capacity of average Americans to actually understand what is going on, let alone be accomplice to the sort of deliberate, Machiavellian imperialism you describe. People are given a binary choice and choose the one they dislike less. Do you think people voted Barrack Obama into office because they thought he would make new wars? There's actually evidence people voted for Trump to END wars. One of Bush's campaign pledges was to reduce American adventurism (ironic) and he didn't lose. Even Nixon pledged to get out of Vietnam during his campaign.

I think the only thing so far I’ve been irked over Tulsi is her supposed support for Milano’s sex strike. The reasoning behind is sound surrounding the Alabama bill, but the strike itself is a bit silly.

Other than that, she’s still the candidate I’m more than likely voting for. Wish she had more popularity.
I thought the sex strike was over Georgia's "heartbeat" bill?

While it was a silly notion to throw out there. I am not sure exactly how serious Milano's comment was. I think, much like this bill in Texas, it was thrown out there just to bring attention to anti-abortion laws.
But, then, I could be wrong. It's just my assumption since there have been some tongue in cheek comments thrown out there such as another actress saying something like "if your not giving it to your husband send him my way" that she's liked.

National polls don't really stand for anything though, since you have the electorial collage, someone should be making an aggregate Swing state poll combining them all and that gives you an idea how they would do in the national.

I'm surprised it hasn't been done already since American state voting habits on the majority of states are as Rigid as they have ever been.

The Democrats begin their debates tonight with ten on stage, and the other ten tomorrow night. Might be interesting, so I will watch. Will you tune in?

I'm sure it's gonna sound odd coming from me, but yes I'll be watching.

Already Warren has been called upon to speak three times before all the other candidates have even spoken once. Rather blatant media favoritism.

Edit:
Now Warren gets called 5 6 times before the others get 2 calls.

The are just doing the same People what is this?
Postmodern democracy?

I see Castro is also getting a lot of calls. Booker manages to get extra face time as well. Some of these candidates are routinely calling certain others names to gain extra time for them and exclude others. Very crafty.

Edit:

I am very glad to see Gabbard called upon to address the Iran issue.

Edit 2:

Bizarre technical issues from NBC savants prevent round 2 from starting off again with Warren.

Pretty easy to see the moderators want Warren, Booker, and Castro to advance. But mainly Warren. Delaney seems to be the most bipartisan, but that may doom him.

They effectively made my governor Jay Inslee seem like a kook. He is. Ryan sometimes talks sense. That makes him dangerous! Mayor de Blasio seems competent enough. He should advance, IMO. Klobuchar has support, and may be in the top 5.

Absolutely no agreement on the greatest threat to America. China, Russia, Iran, nukes, and climate change were all mentioned in one word answers.

Edit:

A minority of these candidates are pragmatists, the majority are ideologues. It will be interesting to see if any pragmatists advance. I hope at least one does.

It seems possible Gabbard won the debate!

She also crushed the influential Drudge poll at 38%, dwarfing Warren totally.

This tells me that she can pick up more Republican crossover and independent support than any other Dem candidate so far seen. IMO, if she is nominated, the Dems will easily own the executive branch. But she yet may be brushed aside by media and Dem bigwigs as not ideological enough.

They'll try to give her the Bernie 2016 treatment if she doesn't fit with the party establishment. Be interesting to see if they can pull it off this time similar to the way they burned the Bern last time. The jig is up now and I don't think anyone will go quietly this time similar to the way Bernie curled up his tail and fell in line like a good little politician.

Really surprised about that, I didn't watch the full debate but everything I did see it looked like she barely got a question.

Julian Castro got asked a million questions despite a 1% poll rating coming into the debates, I mean if that isn't the media trying to play favourites I don't know what is.

I don't think it's possible to have a proper debate with this many candidates on stage at the same time. I expected a bit of chaos and that was largely the result, with little real substance. And hey, it's only half the field.

Best part of the Debate the Savage beatdown by Gabbard on Tim Ryan:

It just looks odd that someone can say that and it being featured on a NBC Clip.

Didn't care much for the Hispandering by Booker, Beto and Castro(although fair enough he is actually Hispanic).

On all of them or you can't work out which is what?
I'm trying to figure out what you're saying, they all basically agreed with what I said with varying ways of going about it and they said a lot more than that, including reparations for slavery. They want to complain about how little Trump has increased the debt yet have no explanation of how they plan on paying for all the free plans/reparations/etc, except raising taxes, I'm not the brightest bulb but I know that would not cover their ideas. Also Biden wants to bring biometric guns to life. Sounds like Metal Gear Solid, where's Drebin when I need him? Do I really need to put an /s on every post?

Exiting the wars and deployments around the world would certainly help pay for alot of it.

In 2015/16 I wouldn't mind to watch the Dem. debates since it was the end of a second term, but after I watched about 30-45 minutes worth of last night's debate my head was simply hurting. There were little to no actual numbers to correspond with any sort of plans ideas that were being tossed around last night, and the questions being asked simply did not challenge them. It was pretty much who could pat themselves on the back raise their hand highest/fastest than anyone else. Little to no personal questions asked about their history/achievements/failures.

I will say however, there are 2 women that I think could possibly fit in to a ticket spot this year and actually be liked by Rep. and middle ground voters then HRC ever could get..

Say what you want about Trump, his Tweets or whatever.
As far as I'm concerned he is doing exactly what I voted for him for.
Someone here said it might be a coincidence I found a better job since he took office, I did, but what y'all don't know is I work for a charity. Mind you I've only had this job for a little over a year and a half.(October will be 2 years). We get paid a dollar a stop plus what we bring in(judged by cartage) and a $500 a month bonus for completing your route every day. Over the last year and a half I have seen a huge increase in cartage I bring in, I would be lucky when I started to get half a truckload, since the New Year I've been getting a truckload and a 1/4 to 1 3/4. I've hit the mystical 2 truckloads 3 times since too. Say what you want but people don't buy crap and give their old crap away unless they are doing better off.

Yep, people buying new crap and donating their old crap. The economy is booming under Trump!

I have taken the leap and put my money where my mouth is. I have made a significant contribution to the Tulsi Now campaign.

As events unfold, I may contribute quite a bit more money as as well as my time in a voluntary role.

I believe in the need for peace, prosperity and domestic tranquility, and this may be the best chance for it in the coming presidential cycle.
