Finally after months of waiting the Barclays premier league new season is upon us . Only few days left before the season kicks off and it sure to be a brilliant season.So post your predictions ,discussions,reviews to all things English football here (even the lower leagues).The first matchday has some cracking matches and hopefully we will be in for a wild ride.

Yay a fellow gooner.I hope Arsenal win something (other than the carling cup)but I would be kidding myself if I said we have a better chance than last season.I am pretty dissapointed with Wenger's efforts in the transfer market.But atleast we 've got Cesc Fabregas.
Oh Martin O'neils resignation baffels me ,Villa are a club on the up.Anyway C'mon Arsenal.

What a disgraceful performance by us lot.How hard can it be to a sign a goalkeeper if you are a manager of a Super club(if we can still be called that).Anyway C'mon Toon army good luck tommorow.

Well 6-0 it finished but Blackpool have a lot of heart good performance.Theo was stunning nice to see Cesc and RVP back.Sadly chelsea put another 6-0 what the hell is it with this Wigan team.

Andy Carroll should get an England call up. We need a good striker because Wayne Rooney is going the same way as Michael Owen.

A hard fought victory very pleased about that one.Almunia had a great game but I still stick that we need a proper world class keeper.

Unbelivable for crying out loud how bad a club can you be inorder to have 3 bids rejected for a 37 year old goalie.Yet another year were we are 2 signings away from being genuine contenders but as always a summer full of transfer promises ends in a dissapointment.Can't imagine how Cesc Fabregas feels right now.

I had to laugh the other night at an advert I saw for Sky Sports, trying to convince me to sign up to Sky right now because I didn't want to miss... wait for it.... the TRANSFER WINDOW!

Honestly, since when was the flippin' transfer window an event? I concede, the Champions League Final, the World Cup, the US Open (golf and tennis) etc., all qualify as events that I might consider worthy of signing up for, but the transfer window?!

Awesome I love the international break ,10 minutes after the news Van persie is out for 6 weeks theo gets injured.For 🤬 sake how unlucky can one team get every single season C'mon. .Will be surprised if we don't get more injuries.

I should be angry at that 🤬 Phil Dowd and how we threw away 2 points with the last kick of the game but as an Arsenal Fan for so long you kinda get used to it If you can't finish off games like this then no premiership title again.

It's almost like Arsene Wengers little rant about protecting players backfired with the sending off as Song. I'd say a bigger problem for you however, is the apparent injury to Fabregas. As for Phil Dowd, he's not exactly my favourite official either and, as a Villa fan, I'm very used to blowing a lead in the last few minutes of a game!

I know Song was plain old stupid but how the official allowed sunderland to play another ball in the box after time was clearly up is beyond me.

On the plus side for you, all the other top four contenders messed up too. Great win for the Villa today, local derbies are always tough games.
