Top Gear reference at Takanori saying how the GTR's acceleration is neck-snapping.
Also we can see that Nobuhiko may have died but his racing spirit still lives on. His spirit sure is strong if it could drive the Supra from his garage somewhere, go to Suzuka and have it go round the track as well.

Another week has gone by quickly, and it's time for Takanori and Shinji to race at the Touge.
Even I am wondering why he chose it to be the venue. Crowds are watching, and they are waiting for the race to start. Shinji is practicing with his S2000, and Takanori is...

Shinji: "Oh how I love to humiliate you and your GT-R in this crowd. You made the wrong decision, Godzilla boy!"
Shinji: "How can a pig like a GT-R move about on a winding road?"
Shinji: "Oh well... I have to make it fun, though."
Shinji: "And you are late! Isn't it a bit rude to make someone wait?"
Dammit, Takanori is still not around. I call him up...
Takuma: "Where the bloody hell are you!?"
Takanori: "I'm coming up... heh."
One of Shinji's friends contact Shinji to inform that a car is coming up.
Shinji: "Really? A car is coming up? Well, I guess it's someone to watch the race too. Look out for a white R35 GT-R."
Takuma: "Hurry up, little shrimp!"
Takanori: "I'm coming, don't worry! Of course I have to show up!"
Then I have heard from the crowd that another car is coming up. Could that be him?
What the!? He brought the Elise!?
Samui: "What's that car?"
Takuma: "A Lotus Elise. It's a formidable car in this type of road. It also has a mid-engined rear wheel drive layout like your NSX."

All right, so the two racers get in their cars and line up for the start. However, I see Samui very shocked.... why?
Takuma: "Something wrong, Samui?"
Samui: "Umm....."
Takuma: "What is it?"
Samui: "I see Nobu-senpai... at the passenger seat."
Takuma: "What? Maybe you're just hungry."
I just don't believe in supernatural stuff. I have to see to believe.
Samui: "Nobu-senpai is showing a thumbs up at me..."
And they're off. Samui, are you freaking me out?
Takanori: "Whoa... that S2000 is a rocket off the line!"
Shinji: "You think that a puny Lotus Elise can keep up? My S2000 has over 600 horsepower! And with all these aerodynamic aids will help me tear through the corners at the track!"
Takanori: "Though I might have miscalculated. Hehehehe...
But there is a reason why I chose the Touge. I made a little background check on you."
Takanori: "Huh? Why are my arms moving faster? It's like a force controlling me!"
Shinji: "That's odd.... why are you still behind me? At this rate, you should be way behind!"
Takanori: "And so does my foot movements... What on earth is going on?"
Takanori: "The 2nd half of the downhill will start."
Takanori: "I don't know what's going on, but I have faster reflexes!"

Takanori: "Dammit! Here comes the straight, and the S2000 will move away for a bit..."

Shinji: "Late braking!? And why is the Elise cornering faster than my S2000?"
Takanori: "Your S2000 is a great weapon of choice on the track! But bring it here, and the difference between our 2 cars will be useless!"

Takanori: "On a technical road like the Touge, downforce is useless! On the track, it would work; but it's useless here! You can't be in high speed on the Touge! Your S2000's bodykit and big spoiler are helpful in cutting down lap times on the track, but you don't need them in the Touge. Moreover, that big wing caused your S2000 to understeer. My Elise's light weight frame makes it nimble to compensate the aerodynamic disadvantage here.
And also, when I was young, my father used to take me here for a drive every weekend, so I have gotten familiar with it."

Page 12 - Living the Kanonji Name
Once again, we are a hot topic among racing blogs after we defeated the Akiyamas again. I'm just used to those, anyway; so I didn't mind.
Meanwhile, Samui has been offered a spot in a Super GT team. But he has doubts, and I have to convince him. The Super GT season is just around the corner, and unfortunately, the whole of The Dream Alliance team has commitments, so we cannot join.
I fetched him from school using Takanori's second, and street-legal R32 GT-R, since my FD is being worked on by Kaido for next week's race, hehehehehe...
And there we are talking in the car.
Samui: "Eh? It's exactly the one I saw in an anime last night."
Takuma: "But that does not make Takanori scary."
Samui: "Sigh...."
Takuma: "You look depressed there, boy."
Samui: "It's Super GT, and I might just made that team a laughingstock."
Takuma: "Hey, don't doubt yourself. Even though we'll not be a team this year, we would still back you up. We are a family."
Samui: "Thank you, but I just feel that I'm not good enough."
Takuma: "If that's how you feel, then hone your skills. You do that in tennis, so you must do that in racing as well. Remember, open track days happen every weekend, so you have plenty of time and opportunity to sharpen your skills."

As they move on, one of the racers notice an approaching car at the rear view mirror.
Silver Z33 Driver: "Something's coming really fast..."
Silver Z33 Driver: "It's already behind! Just what the hell is it!?"
It effortlessly overtakes the pack.
Supra Driver: "Waaaaahhhh! That's the..."
Then it taps the rear end of a black Z33.
Black Z33 driver: "What's that!?"
Z32 Driver: "What's going on here?"
Then it goes side by side with an R32. The driver is horrified upon looking.
R32 driver: "Waaaaaaaaaahhhh! The... the stories are true! That car has no driver!!!"
Nobuhiko: "Mind if I practice here?"

As they move on, one of the racers notice an approaching car at the rear view mirror.
Silver Z33 Driver: "Something's coming really fast..."
Silver Z33 Driver: "It's already behind! Just what the hell is it!?"
It effortlessly overtakes the pack.
Supra Driver: "Waaaaahhhh! That's the..."
Then it taps the rear end of a black Z33.
Black Z33 driver: "What's that!?"
Z32 Driver: "What's going on here?"
Then it goes side by side with an R32. The driver is horrified upon looking.
R32 driver: "Waaaaaaaaaahhhh! The... the stories are true! That car has no driver!!!"
Nobuhiko: "Mind if I practice here?"
