It mattered when I said he looked gay?
What doesn't matter is the performer's actual sexuality. What matters is that you think you can tell someone's sexuality through sight alone - and you didn't answer my question:
I never know you could work out everyone's sexuality at a glance.

Is it possible to refine it to a Kinsey Scale point from a cursory eyeballing?

I have no idea. I've only seen one photo of Conchita and wouldn't presume to judge. Is it an issue?
Sorry for the double post (onmyphone) but I never said it was an issue did I? I just said he looked gay and I bet none would have cared if it was a gay person that said what I said:) I'm of to bed xoxo

Let's try this:

This is Karin Winslow (formerly a dominatrix) and Lana (previously known as Larry) Wachowski. They are married, and from all close sources willing to talk about them, soul mates who became changed people when they met before Larry became Lana. Gay?

I get that it can be confusing. Heck, when full sexual reassignment happens and they still prefer the opposite of their birth sex, it becomes very confusing. But ultimately, just let them live and don't impose stereotyped titles.

I was a manager at a company that had an employee which wished to identify as the opposite gender openly. In Kentucky. It became confusing for everyone. Bathroom rules were a topic of contention. Neither sex wanted that person in their bathroom. I am personally torn between how that should go. Part of me wants to say the plumbing should match the pipes, but that fails to respect the identification of the transgendered individual.

So, I understand that it's confusing. In this kind of scenario gay, not gay, bisexual, etc is hard to define. In fact, I've met transgendered individuals who can't decide and will argue about it.

This is one of the very few situations where I keep my non-politically correct comments to myself, because politically correct is hard to define.

"You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination." -Leviticus 18:22

Self-explanatory. It also goes both ways(lesbians). Bash me all you want, it is what God says. Probably won't watch this
thread, unless I want to see my computer melt with hatemail. This is all I have to say.

Not that my own post was anything special, but one knock and you're out? You can stick around and justify your beliefs if you want.

Let's turn the page, shall we?

"Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard." - Leviticus 19:27

How are those side burns looking?

Unwatching thread. Further posts are nullified. :D

If you don't want to discuss about it, then what are you doing here?

"The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, 2 “Say to the Israelites: ‘Of all the animals that live on land, these are the ones you may eat: 3 You may eat any animal that has a divided hoof and that chews the cud.
4 “‘There are some that only chew the cud or only have a divided hoof, but you must not eat them. The camel, though it chews the cud, does not have a divided hoof; it is ceremonially unclean for you. 5 The hyrax, though it chews the cud, does not have a divided hoof; it is unclean for you. 6 The rabbit, though it chews the cud, does not have a divided hoof; it is unclean for you. 7 And the pig, though it has a divided hoof, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you. 8 You must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you.

9 “‘Of all the creatures living in the water of the seas and the streams you may eat any that have fins and scales. 10 But all creatures in the seas or streams that do not have fins and scales—whether among all the swarming things or among all the other living creatures in the water—you are to regard as unclean. 11 And since you are to regard them as unclean, you must not eat their meat; you must regard their carcasses as unclean. 12 Anything living in the water that does not have fins and scales is to be regarded as unclean by you."

It's my opinion that transgendered people should be allowed to choose their gender. The thing is, they should have had the full transition, for them to be recognized as that gender. (Not where I live, they changed it here which is a good thing.) But in order to avoid confusion, it should be best to make that a rule of thumb.

I know, there are a lot of tg people that cannot transition completely due to medical or financial reasons, and I am very sorry for them, but there HAS to be some kind of distinction. Where that distinction lies is not for me to decide, but I would do it that way. :)

I think the distinction should be based on orientation. If you feel like a women and dress like a women, can you imagine how embarrassing it must feel to forced to use the men's room in a dress? I can. If you're uncomfortable with using a rest room with somebody of the opposite sex, but in transition, here's a tip. Wait five minutes.

Sometimes you don't have the option. And yes, I can definitely understand what it feels like being forced to use a men's room. I am trans myself. ;)

Its a shame that sometimes there isn't an option. Honestly. What difference does it make? Everybody tinkles, and they don't want to be embarrassed by it. By the by, my father is trans, pre-op.

You don't have to get nasty because you disagree with his views. I'm unwatching this thread too. Seems that if you don't come out in support of the gay lifestyle, you're branded a hater/bigot.

No. The general rule of the forum is if you make a claim then provide evidence. It goes for both sides.

I have been to some places with gender neutral restrooms. The first time it happened I felt awkward. After that, I realized that bathroom etiquette was being followed much more strictly than in public men's restrooms. I would love to see more places go this route.

Some men are so nasty, they probably don't care wether it's neutral or not, I really don't want to put the ladies through that...

About being trans, I think in general nobody in my country has a problem with it. Maybe we even think it's cool. Kelly, a trans from a tv show Big Brother now has her own sex show thing. Her advertises are shown on tv with her in sexy lingerie.

I have a flashback... No batteries were allowed in Big Brother, but Kelly had one  bzzzzzzz

No, but if you describe a man lying with another man as an "abomination", then you're branded as a hater or bigot. Is that somehow inaccurate?

People are free to be bigoted if they want, but should hardly be upset when others identify their behaviour for what it is. Call a spade a spade and all that.

That hasn't answered the question. And you've also not answered the question by pretending I've said something else.

Crack on and answer what I actually asked:
I never knew you could work out everyone's sexuality at a glance.

Is it possible to refine it to a Kinsey Scale point from a cursory eyeballing?

Where does God say the thing about lesbians?

And are you sure that's what God says? Only some other people who believe exactly the same thing as you say not:
"You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination." (RSV)
"You are not to have sexual relations with a man in the same way you do with a woman; such a thing is detestable." (Voice)
"‘Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable." (NIV)
"Don’t have sex with a man as one does with a woman. That is abhorrent." (Message)
"Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind: it is abomination." (21KJV, ASV)
"Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind, because it is an abomination." (Douay-Rheims)
"Thou shalt not be mixed together with a man, like in fleshly coupling with a woman, for it is an abomination." (Wycliffe)
"Never have sexual intercourse with a man as with a woman. It is disgusting." (GWT)

And, lest we forget, the rest of the Leviticus says you can't eat shellfish or pork, shave, wear clothes of different fabrics or have a tattoo. But you can stone a spiritualist to death and, according to Deuteronomy, rape a woman, so long as she isn't engaged and, if found out, you give her dad 50 pieces of silver and marry her, so there's that I guess.

Assuming you're Christian and not Jewish (because you talk about God, not Jehovah), I'd like to cover with you everything that Jesus - the person after whom the religion is named and whose teachings you should follow to call yourself a Christian - said about homosexuals and homosexuality.

Ready? Here it is:

You said the guy "looks gay". By extension that means there is a "gay look" that allows people to determine, by sight alone, who is gay.

100% sensitivity isn't required, but 100% specificity would be - or there's no such thing as a "gay look".

Have you ever considered it mightn't be God, but a barely educated Jewish scribe instead?

I wonder if you'd be OK with selling your daughter to a rapist for 50 pieces of silver.
