It was not worth it to me, on RM I was around 1:59 the 5-6 first laps and when they started to get worn, I did 2:00- 2:02 laps and that's what my time is on RH, so for me it was best to use the RH and just do 2 pit stops, still ended up on 14th place though.

I don't understand why this one is made so difficult, everything else is doable with all aids on, but not this one, I hope it's somehow bugged and PD will do something about it.
I would have to agree with the others above; if you're running RH tires you should be one stopping. Part of the reason you're coming in down the order is the extra stop. Try the one-stopper on the hards, just keep an eye on your fuel and you should be fine. The wear delta between the M and H is pretty big... meaning the H tire lasts for days.

Also, practice without the assists. ABS yes, maybe TC to 1, but otherwise do some laps without. They're slowing you down.

I'd recommend doing the CE for the track to get used to it. I don't think this event is overly difficult as a lot of people are winning it, I think you just need some practice. Don't get discouraged, when you win it it'll be that much more cool!

Well, there's fair challenge and than there's bull**** scripted events. GT7's one hour missions are the later.
I don’t agree with that. I’ve golded 4 of the 8 races and even though on some of them I needed more than one try they’re not that difficult if you have decent pace, not good, just decent, and especially if you’re consistent.

Tried before sleep last night. I rammed m6 in lap 6 and took him out of the race (he is no longer on top ten til lap 27), but got rammed by CPU hard on lap 27 and had to give up. was doing mid 58s and thought i could finally get it done....

For some reason the McLaren gt3 was on rocket fuel after I pitted the 2nd time

This was great fun for me right up until it wasn’t.

The first of these 1hr’s that I’ve found properly challenging.

Went for the 2 stopper on RM’s in the GT-R. Battled the NSX and M6 the entire race, passed the M6 at the very end of the penultimate lap, NSX was short on fuel and pit right ahead of me on the 1 to go.

Start the last lap leading, mentally popping the champagne open already and thinking this would be an epic race to round out the game as the last thing to complete (CE’s all 100%, licenses all gold, all other missions and races gold, etc).

Get to the backstraight and ran wide a little onto the kerb so slow exit, no trouble I think…

Wrong. The M6 full throttles into my right rear and hooks me dead right into the fence.

What had been the most fun event so far and could have been a great high to ‘finish’ the game on instead made me never want to play it again.

That M6 can 🤬

True indeed, I haven't experienced that "to difficult" feeling on the missions, im not bad at it and have a decent peace on DS4, and I do make mistakes, just did the red bull ring, went off twice in the rain on breaking, 3 stops, soft-wet-soft and still won by 35 seconds, lago was indeed a little harder.,
But I think I can run 1:59 low and still win, is the difficulty level that random??

If you can completed the nordschleife ce gold the lago race is in no comparison to that, you should Def have no problem with that, that would be the proof that the difficulty level is indeed very random, maby im just a Lucky man for now 😀

The problem is if you need more than one try, the payout is terrible. I'm just not doing them any more, I wouldn't mind if they paid out every time you do them, so I at least get some credits if I have another go and fail to win, but the races aren't inherently particularly more enjoyable than the races that pay out more credits, and pay out every time you race them. For these missions to be worth it, you need to be extremely likely to win them first time.

If you’re doing it for the credits then yeah I can understand that. There’s better options for farming credits for sure.

I do one stop on Hard and two on Medium.
Not according to your previous post.

I agree with this 100%. I've completed them all and golded them all except the Miata and Honda Beat ones where I got second. I went back and did the Miata one again and got PIT maneuvered by the AI on the last lap while in the lead, coming in 2nd again. An hour of driving like a madman, strategizing, fuel saving, etc, and got nothing to show for it.

So at this point, doing those two over again just isn't worth my time. The Miata one was kinda fun but extremely frustrating and the Beat one just wasn't all that fun at all honestly. I won't be going back to either one of them.

Honestly, I'd like to do the 620PP one over again and maybe the Austria & Maggiore ones agian despite getting gold... try some different cars and strats but it would be literally zero payout regardless. No thanks. Other ways to spend an hour of game time.

I'm really struggling to get a lap under 2.02 on RH
Done the circuit experience too but can't seem to find how to drive this track.
The first slow section kills me then the last corner to the pits never feels right
Arghhhhh
What gears are you using?

I find most of the lap time comes from a good hairpin (the one going downhill) where you need to cut it and stay on third, the two snake sections where you need to not compromise the exit and that last left where you need to stay on 4th gear and use the whole track on the exit. Probably obvious but still…

I'm not talking about difficulty. What I'm saying is that they are just scripted, just like a play you go to the theater to watch, everytime the same thing. And a bad play at that.

Don’t agree with that either. It’s scripted yes, what else could it be, but I’ve seen the same race won by different drivers.

How about not scripted? A different race each time you play it? Like a bunch of racing games have been doing for more than a decade?

Still scripted, just a different or several different scripts.

The ones I’ve done didn’t seem that much scripted in the sense that the outcome is always the same.

Oh boy. What a relief. I tried with so many gr3 cars and none worked for me. so frustrating. I then found out the best car for me. The one beauvois is driving. Amg gt3’16. This car is sticky as RCZ and drives much faster.
I used fuel map 1 all the way. Don’t bother to fuel save. It’s not going to work.
RM tyres. Pit at end of lap 10 and end of lap 20.
on first pit, fuel to max. Second pit, fuel up to lap 10.2. You should be around 20+ secs behind the ”bug” C Lopez ( I say bug becaus the fella is using RM tyres but he never pits ) but you will easily chase him almost 3-5 secs per lap. my last 10 laps, only 2 laps hit 1:57 and the rest was like 1:59-2:02. won by 5secs.
some backmarkers in the end did also helped slow down the fast incoming M6.
give this car and strategy a try if you are still frustrated to win this. 😌

So funny to see how each car feels different for each other, I tried the AMG before the Peugeot, RM but just couldn't get a descent peace, felt kind of heavy on me i'm much much quicker with the RCZ.
But nice that you have got it!, i just did Deep forrest, so much fun in the megane trophy, no stop, fuell save on first lap on 6( due to trafic) lap 2 push hard and fuel map 1 until around lap 14/15, then back to 6 until finish, great race, but to easy lol, won by 24 seconds

I cheese the deep forest with tomahawk 😂

Which car would you choose for a 1 stop strategy? I have tried Tom's Supra for a 2 stop but no success.
the porsche was really good for that because you can short shift at like 70% of each gear on fuel map 1 and it worked out well

My race ended up being super close. Late in the race Rubilar decided to hit me like a pool ball in turn one, but I kept going. That put me back to 6th place after the ai had all made their second pit. I was back in first on the second to last lap but was super low on fuel because I only made one stop, I had to coast across the line. Hard race but had a lot of fun.

Dang. Race for over an hour and win by less then an 1/8th of a second.
