What the numbers mean in minesweeper and how to play it basically...thought it was just click all the random squares...
  1. Uncover a mine, and the game ends.
  2. Uncover an empty square, and you keep playing.
  3. Uncover a number, and it tells you how many mines lay hidden in the eight surrounding squares—information you use to deduce which nearby squares are safe to click.

You do not need to be convicted of anything to be placed on the sex offenders register. If the judge has sufficient concern then you can be placed on it without a charge being put forward.

Same with the order that you have to inform the police in advance of having sex with anyone. Forget the name of that though.

I was blown away last night when I found out that the composer of some very famous movie songs from Jaws, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, ET, Jurassic Park, and many, many more songs were all written by one man: John Williams. Pure musical genius, I can't even fathom the amount of talent to be able to compose so many memorable, iconic songs.

If it wasn't John Wiilams it was the other bloke.

Other than that there are few people that have made quality soundtracks for major movies.

James Horner? Hans Zimmer? Those are the three guys I automatically think of when watching a big movie.

On subject, I never knew until recently that Horner actually was the composer on the best or second best (Predator being the other) Ahhnold movie ever, Commando.

Uh... no. I could go on and on. Thomas Newman (Shawshank, American Beauty, Road to Perdition, Finding Nemo), Danny Elfman (every Tim Burton movie), Hans Zimmer (Lion King, Inception, Interstellar, Dark Knight, Gladiator, Batman Begins, The Thin Red Line, Pirates of the Caribbean), James Horner (Braveheart, Glory, Apollo 13)

...and of course we could go back a ways with Ennio Morricone, Vangelis, and Mancini

Yeah, like I said, "few people". Look at all the best films (subjective) from the last 30 years and we're looking at a handful of composers/ musicians that have been responsible for the scores.

At the time of about 1580 Japan became the world leader in gun making. They also developed a way for guns to fire reliably in the rain, something that didn't get sorted till the full metal case here.

Also they unintentionally created the world's first camo suit. The mino was a waterproof coat but as it was made of straw it served well as camo.

While we're at this gun-related trivia.

The world's smallest center-fire cartridge and smallest center-fire pistol is the 2.7mm Kolibri. It was made in 1914 by a watchmaker. He had intended to sell it as a concealed carry pistol for women. Small? Yes. Useful? Absolutely not.

First problem: The pistol had no rifling due to how crude the technology was at the time, so accuracy was a moot point.
Second problem: Ergonomically speaking, it wasn't very good.
Third problem: The performance of the bullet was questionable. It only got 10-40 mm of penetration on a pine board...And that was dependent on range. It got less penetration than the actual length of the gun (1.75 inches vs the 1.57 inches of penetration (40mm))

It may be the only pistol in history that would be more lethal if choked on.
