More updates. If you have memories of the Dutch rounds, let me know, I'll edit them in. :) Thanks, daan!

R16, Dutcho league format, NSXs at Midfield

daan: Famine got away from me. Nigel, had a spin or 2, but still caught up with me, only to spin again in the tunnel with 2 or 3 laps to go. He recovered and still nearly caught me at the line.

Yup, 3 spins, it was 7 laps, I was 5 seconds or more behind you on 3 occasions and I still nearly had you on the final straight, the only reason I had the fl was because of the draft I got down the straight.

I seem to remember lapping Holdenhsvgtr at some point, I think it was on the race. I still used his car to gain extra speed, I think it was that draft that gave me the fl. I was so quick around Midfield in those NSXs, so annoyed I span it on 3 occasions!

Good write-ups, Venari. I'll go through the Dutcho with my toothcomb tomorrow and send you my thoughts! And I don't mean about daan attacking from behind!

I've just remembered something from the Skyline La Sarthe race. I led Famine into the Porsche curves on every lap. He outbraked me into the 2nd last chicane on every lap. On the last lap, I covered the inside line, but he just outbraked me round the outside....

yeah you did.
In the amuse race i remember everyone crashed into the first corner bar me so i made a break for it and had an 8 second lead untill the tyres got green then mark was making up a second a lap but i was able to hold im off and win by 2.5 seconds.

Race 7: Mazda MX-5 SR-Limited '97 @ Apricot Hill; Road - 7 laps
daan: The only thing I remember from this one was from the other lan. Ben had Dan slipstreaming him onto the pit straight. Ben aimed for the end of the pit lane, jinked right at the last minute, and Dan, unsighted, ran straight into it and into a dead stop! Hilarious.

Actually, i think that was: 'Race 22: Celica WedsSport @ SSR5'.

(I thought Ben won that one and i came second :odd: )

It was at SSR5, I remember it being at a night race. Seeing as SSR5 is the only night race....(barring HK).

Yes, I think you're right about that. I was a bit confused*.

* The first time I saw that happening was at Apricot Hill during a Wycombe UKGTP.

Edited for daan's
time-displacement, and thanks to Roo and Sureshot for commentaries. More please.

Monday might turn up sometime later. One of the things I've won from the Nono (or possibly a work colleague on Friday before) is a stonking, stinking, snotty cold. Full on man-flu. Nasty.

Edit: Just spotted that Famine hadn't been awarded his point for fastest lap at DF in the Pug 406s. Yikes! 3 points gap at the top!

Good work on the results Venari, cetainly quicker Famine with the Ocho results. (did they ever get posted?). Fortune has it that I was one of the lucky 3 to know my final position so its not all bad. Looks like quite alot of work.

It is a load of work to compile the results, and Famine has a life, (yes, really!) and is busy with housey things at the minute.

Errr. Not that Venari doesn't have a life... I don't mean that at all... Errr... Honest. :dunce:

(Venari: Just some random comment about how lovely and wonderful daan is. Nothing to write home about.

:D

Venari: Stewards enquiry? Car-less, a rebuttal? <stir,stir> :D

I should have done an emergency stop, you're right! I actually jumped when I hit his car, I did not expect it at all, how did you spin there, Car-Less?

It looks like I'm dancing with my frigging jumper!

Roo = Magners unicorn?

Edit: Sorry for messing up page size, I can't get it into thumbnail...

Sshhh with the Famine thing. I'm only getting the time because I'm a plague-victim.

I was rubbish at the Ocho, I don't want to remember the scores! :D However, the whole weekend (as with the Nono) was an absolute blast.

I'm sure AMG won't forget his night-time run up the Gaydon road, Mark T his Famine-related injury, nor any of us the energy of and laughter created with our Dutch cousins. :)

I have had a bit of a sniffle, too. Who spread the bug? Or have I got SARS from eating the rutland breakfast?

I am pleased to anounce my engagement to The Stig.

It will be a pleasure to be known as Mrs Stig.

On my form, I was catching everything! ;)

Judging by Mr Stig's reaction, It looks like there might be another bottle of Magners somewhere...

Have I lost out here? Are you stealing him from me? Or do I have to share...?

Sharing never works. Sooner or later, someone's going to feel less wanted than the other and that's when poo hits the fan. (for this purpose, it can be that baseball fan on the famous pic now posted everywhere)

Aaaaaaaanyway... what the hell is this "Magners" that you guys talk about? Beer? Never heard of it. Where's it from?

Magners is a farily sweet cider that is quite expensive and not particularly strong, it tastes great though.

Roo
Irish cider. Turns even the best moderator into a complete n00b.
At least I didn't spill any this time. 💡

Spec was close to becoming a cider n00b though...

Bad news on the DVDs. Apparently, unlike before where it's showed green on the TV but been fine in the recording, it was actually permanently green.

We can still see things, but they're distinctly verdant. Appropriate for the Algore Eco Challenge, maybe? :D

I've worked out what happened. The PS2 was not displaying in RGB.

I got the same issue with the PS3 tonight. It was setup to display component on my LG TV. I then took it upstairs to capture some videos. When I capture videos, I have to use the SCART connection, so need to start the PS3 by holding the on button so it reverts back to default display, and when it came on, it was green. I went in and changed the display settings from Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr to RGB and it was fine.

The PS2 connected to the DVD must have been in Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr mode.

Rule 74a: No yuppubcubpruccer PS2s at UKGTP events. All yuppubcubpruccer PS2s must be immediately rugbed, preferably by a trained technician. Or a tall Scotsman.

Me being shot by my prize, this was at home today. The large breasts on the window..

:D

Glad to see you making the most of your boobie prize there Sureshot!
