Must every thread turn into a discussion on cheating? Wow. Like running Indy America 1,000,000 times actually requires any effort or talent whatsoever.

Even in A-Spec it doesn't. I just leave the B-Spec running, watch TV, then exit the race every five runs to oil change my car.

So... Alex... care to donate your account? :D

Save this spot right here for me. 8 cars away.........

Edit: Ok I have every car now. Add me to the list. 👍

You can tell if they actually gotten all the cars without rubber banding, or SSR 7 glitch, by looking at how many miles they driven, I'm on my to get all the cars, but it's hard to afford all the expensive cars, not sure if it's a lot, but it's the most outta my friend list but I have over 80,000 miles total driven, and that Guy on the list is one of my friends and I have a lot more miles driven then him. Just saying

I have every car, and in case they don't see this thread, so do Stones and Dabest2500. Just got my last one (BLUEBIRD 1600 Deluxe (510) '69) two days ago, from Stones. So add us to the list.

When you use the rubber-band B-Spec, there is absolutely no difference in miles driven compared to normal B-Spec.

Seriously... who has the time to A-Spec the millions of miles required to buy everything?

More precisely... who has the time to do it while being employed and actively working to ensure continuous employment?

I say congrats! It's currently one of the goals I'm working on and hope to have every car in a month or so.

are you sure you got EVERYCAR in the game? i have 1330+cars

i am at 1280 originals and there's now 1360 + cars counting variations

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=191862

Yep, I am. I used the master car list to check, everytime I enter the UCD there is no car I still do not own. I have every car, you simply have some doublicates I suppose. I had over 40 of them too, gifted them all or partially am still at it.

The game has officially 1031 cars, but I too have more for some weird reason.

Thats nice, i'll probably achieve it aswell, not today or tomorrow, but by the year ends sure, maybe, unlike some people i take my time, and i gotta tell ya, it's the way to go.

I'm thankful I got all but one of the expensive trades out of the way before the patch - I really wouldn't want to be going for it now.

Having said that - I'm 5 short of a complete set of X2010's...

Kinda has no meaning if cheated to achieve, that kills it as an achievement. It's like using an all cars code, then wanting recognition for it. I give props to achieving this from the grind, buy no love for the cheaters looking for recognition for the cheat.

Yawn. Is this really relevant in here. There's plenty of other places you could vent your frustrations. 👎

Sorry, but that does make since, and I technically an unemployed, but thats because I move in a month to a job, and haven really had to work since the game came out, and thats all I been doing since playing GT5. I can spend hours drivng my Ford GT's Since I have over 20 of them

I feel it's relevant, especially since the cheaters are looking for recognition, why else start a club based on their achievements through cheating.

I was there since January. Just waiting for save option to go platnium. To the OP you should check correctly since there are 1034 unique cars. Remember the academy 370z that you can only get through ticket

Trading was permitted and actively encouraged by the developers. That is not cheating, that's playing the game as intended.

Actions that are neither permitted or advertised are cheating, in particular 'glitching'.

Getting all cars / paints / horns is hard work and luck is also needed.

It's taken me basically since launch day to get them (1031 cars from the official gran-tursimo.com list) through trading and grinding - it's definitely not an "all cars code" method - money is only a small part of it, actually trying to find some cars in the UCD is near impossible and there are some cars which I've still to see in there. I've been building my collection up in a trading group with 14 members, so far only 2 of us have managed to get a complete collection.

OP clearly states he got his cars from the rubber band trick and not actually earning them. As far as trading cars the OP I believe did berry little of this and that's not in question (at least not by me) its just lame to glorify achievements made through cheating/glitching.

As far as the OP is concerned, agreed. I did not read - or missed - that part. Fair point.

I made a backup of my save game every day as a precaution against corruption.
Just for kicks, I kept each day's files on my computer.
I could go back to any day since the game came out!
To illustrate your point about it being quite hard to find some cars, take a look at my progress.
100 cars - Day 8
250 cars - Day 13
500 cars - Day 19
750 cars - Day 26
1000 cars - Day 39
1061 cars - Day 62

That includes all 1031 unique models, all Nascar, FGT, and X1 variants, and the GT Academy cars.
Those last 70 or so cars were such a pain in the ass.
That's where my "cheating" started.
I traded for 39 cars, each time restoring my save game so I didn't lose the one I sent.
I honestly don't feel bad at all that I had to do that to get 39 out of 1068 cars.
For all the rest it was all grinding. And no rubber banding. Didn't find out about it until too late!
My PS3 basically ran 24/7 for those 2 months.
Anytime when I wasn't playing, it was running B-Spec races.
I can't even imagine how many times Bob ran the 9 Hour Tsukuba race.
It was a perfect race to run right before bed, restart in the morning, come home in the evening and play some and maybe run some Dream Car B-Spec when I watched TV, and then rinse and repeat.
I obtained the last car on February 24th and I think my PS3 has been turned on only 1 or 2 hours per day since then!
