the "just plain ugly" car thread

Doesn't help that Trans Sport = Transport. That's literally all it is. An ugly, boring box for moving people about. Truly terrible.

Why isn't this thing here?!

It is. Probably several times. This is why I try to list the name of the car when posting a photo of it, so that it can be found through the search function. This should probably be a rule of this thread.

Mahindra XUV500

Can someone please inform me why companies like Mahindra, Great Wall and Ssangyong (sans surprisingly attractive Korando) don't bother to hire designers who are competent? I presume they have the financial backing to find a team of people who aren't completely inept at making lines meet. It's very confusing.

I thought that the real Scion xB was ugly, the copycat looks slightly worse. I don't like the headlight design nor the wheels. Though, this has comfirmed for me that some car manufactures just don't know how to make up a car design.

Oh dear lord, that front end is hideous. :yuck:

The Chevy Cruze wasn't that offensive when it came out. Heck, I almost thought it was pretty good, despite the fact that it's grown into another dull compact sedan you always see in silver. But now...the US spec facelift. Thought it was bad in the pictures, but seeing one in person. :yuck:

The rear windows remind me of the Vauxhall Omega, another GM car. (Which I think looks good)

That blue Suzuki looks a lot like a very small Matra racecar from the 60s... Very cool.

That red thing looks like it was built with remnants of derelict Snap-On toolboxes.
