I strongly agree with all of these posted, except for the Audi and Mercedes, which are closer to just plain bland than ugly.

And I would personally argue that a meager $23k starting price for a car that actually looks rather decent, and is offered with multiple useful options is a pretty attainable expense for most people.

I thought that the real Scion xB was ugly, the copycat looks slightly worse. I don't like the headlight design nor the wheels. Though, this has comfirmed for me that some car manufactures just don't know how to make up a car design.

The cars are good. The styling and the use of the MINI badge on a Golf-size car, not so much. I like the first 2 BMW MINIs and the Clubman, but the Countryman, the Paceman and the new model are simply too fat for being MINIs.

Well yes this is not a MINI this is something bigger they try to make money out of a car that is more design than technically improved ... It's not bad making cars that look good but it's a shame using a badge that meant something else

I hate this new design from the newer mini ... what are they thinking at BMW who likes that ... I guess a lot of women ....

The thing with the BMW MINI is it's always had that fairly understated, recognisable grille. Now it's just grown fat everywhere and its mouth has spilled wide open.

The idea was there but the execution could be left rather to be desired for. All part of the charm though.

Fair enough. The last two generations (technically the first two) I actually didn't mind (I find the first generation a quite attractive looking car actually) but I can totally see why you dislike them.

It's the length of the rear doors and the rear overhang. I have a soft spot for the 5 door over the 3 door, no idea why.

Boot space, maybe? It had one of those nifty double boot mechanism things (which Skoda had on it's Superb, though Skoda pulled it off 1000 times better).

The sad thing is that if the eyes were flat and more in line with the face it would look exactly like the new MINIs.
