the "just plain ugly" car thread

Ladies and gentlemen, I present you the Tata Magic Iris:

This "car", if you can call it that is so ill proportioned that in comparison the Multipla looks like an automotive masterpiece.

Please drive it slowly or it will roll over and kill everyone.

The 1959 Dodge Crown Royal. Mainly the front. God, that face actually looks kinda scary.

So angry.

Actually...it's not all that great from the rear, either. The more steeply sloped Plymouths and Imperials of that year were more attractive, with the Plymouth having the only real appealing mug attached to Chrysler Corp fullsizes.

I sort of had a feeling that would be the case. I'm looking at other Dodges from 1959 right now and comparing them to the Plymouths and they have the same angry thing going on.

You know something, I think the 1959 Coronet would have been a scarier "Christine" than the 1958 Plymouth Stephen King picked. It just looks so angry in comparison to the Plymouth.

Plain ugly, that? While it is an opinion, I 100% disagree. It has some charm to it, come ooon.

I might at least place this car on the thread with ugly cars, but only something it has - appeal. Ugly it might be, but it's not *that* bad. I even like the rear of the car.

This thing. I don't care that it's lightweight because of aluminium. Just look at it...

And this hideous thing... Even can't pass deer test for the first time. Only after model was updated. So embarrassing for such manufacturer as Mercedes benz.

The A2 has a brilliant 90s retro-futuristic feel to it. I'd absolutely love one, it's a shame most are going straight to the scrapyard now though.

Photos really flatter it, but the 4/5 door Mini is really lumpen. The sportier, bigger wheeled versions disguise it somewhat, but a boggo-standard Mini One is a real minger. It's like a Chinese-knock off Mini.

If you really tried to find anything positive about it you could at least argue that no one is going to buy a MINI with the basic bottom of the lineup trim, but honestly that doesn't make the car itself look any better.
Couldn't agree more, makes the Countryman look appealing.
Which says a lot as the Countryman looks appalling.

I'm not sure they do! There's loads of these around where I live, they're not a looker, though in the right colour, with the right wheels, with the right options, they don't look that much worse than the standard 3 door hatch. But then I like the Paceman and the (discontinued) coupe, so I might not be the best judge, I'd totally have one of these...

Unreliability or people just don't buy them?

That Infiniti would really look a lot better if they decided to put a bit more blandness into the design. It's just overstyled. If they flattened the bulges out it'd probably look decent, at least.

Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned... :yuck:

Many may disagree, but I often find retro-styled remakes of historic motoring icons, absolutely hideous. Or even retro-styled cars that aren't remakes of classics. Anyone remember the Jaguars and Mercedes-Benz's of the early noughties? I find the S-Type and the W211 E-Class to be the worst offenders! :yuck:

Mobility Ventures MV-1 LX. Just plain strange looking and ugly.
I remember seeing one of these in a Cousin's parking lot and thinking that someone somehow imported one of those Chinese knock-off cars.
