The Le Mans General Discussion Thread

Unfortunately that doesn't work if you're in the states. It sucks! :grumpy: If you're in the US, you can't even watch it. And if your cable provider doesn't have an agreement to show ESPN3, you can't even watch the stream. Even an IP blocker doesn't help.

Ahh man that sucks! Go to Radio Le Mans. Listening to it is better than nothing.

Well, no one on justin.tv has a feed, I can't get motors in the U.S., it isn't on ALMS.com, it's only on ESPN3 for me it seems, and I'm not near the campus so I'm going to have to miss the green flag. Which means I'm not watching this until I can do so on replay tomorrow. Which means I'm keeping well away from this thread for now. So long, boys! :)

That's what I thought too until I saw: http://www.justin.tv/alms_live#/w/4017597680

Then again he isn't even here now, I'll send a PM :P

Edit: That stream has gone down but the official ALMS one is up at http://www.alms.com/camera/television-broadcast (region restricted I think though)

Yeah, I guess you're right. I normally listen to their feed for the audio commentary anyway.

I just tried that stream--it worked for a few seconds and then a message came up that it was closed due to a terms of service violation. Screw ESPN. If I COULD pay for it, I would. But they don't offer it in their grand scheme of grand standing to strong arm the cable and satellite companies into offering ESPN 3. Great vision. In the meantime, they're alienating anybody and everybody who wants to watch it and can't.

While it's pretty cool for us that the cameraman can get that close to them working on the car, I would imagine it's distracting to have your elbow bumping into the thing when you're trying to fix the car.

I often think that, I'm still surprised they're aloud to wander round the pit lane.

I thought ESPN3 was free for everyone now...

Didn't know I was so fortunate.

Pretty sure, its free for those that have the internet provider that carries it. It was for me since I have AT&T.

Well, at least ALMS.com is running in-car shots from some of the teams. So it's better than nothing--Radiolemans for commentary and 4 windows open with in car feed.

@ kogunenjou: ESPN is in a big corporate battle with the satellite and cable providers. They want an agreement to show all of their channels at a premium price. If your cable provider doesn't want to be strong armed, ESPN blocks their feed from you. And if you complain, they try to put it all on your provider and they 'encourage' you to contact your provider and tell them how much you WANT ESPN3.

Was that the same Porsche that hit the DW, that just took out the LMP1 leader?

Dammit, Lucas. Now its pretty much Rebellion's win and no battle :indiff:

I don't know who to blame there, looked to me like Lucas just drove it up in there, but at the same time the #34 has been known to get tangled up with prototypes before on a few occasions.

Muscle Milk off! Hit by the same Porsche that got the Delta Wing earlier this week.

Are you kidding me? The exact same guy? This guy seriously needs to be parked, this is unacceptible 👎

ARGH, none of the in-car feeds showed it. Either way, it's really a shame. Muscle Milk-Rebellion was shaping up to be a great battle.

Nah, the Porsche turned in on him. That guy needs to learn how to lift the throttle when a faster car comes from behind.

I can see that now after looking at it again. Same driver that was involved with the Deltawing in practice.

Speed Channel will broadcast both the 12 Hours Of Sebring and Petit Le Mans Next year.

Q: What was your thought process as you climbed out and waited for this thing to be towed back?

Lucas: S:censored:.

👍

Viper leading GT!

Was about to post that, very good for them, let's see how long it can last.
Any idea where I can find the Live Timing and Scoring? Usually they have that on the ALMS site but I can't seem to find it...
