The Le Mans General Discussion Thread

He's in a class of his own. He is a cool character and a good guy, who was responsible for getting the team partnered with different charitable organizations. He's not a bad actor too, but to be fair I like him a lot more after the interview where he said he he acted to pay the bills but if he had to choose one, racing was his first love. I think of him as the Steve McQueen of our generation, only not quite as cool but with a bigger heart. Anyway, I am going on like a schoolgirl but I will be rooting for Dempsey racing.

Yeah he seems pretty level headed, nice, and eager to learn the craft of racing. In a world of hot-heads (racing), it's good to have a few Patrick Dempseys around. :)

Can't say I'm a fan of his movies, they're all "Girly" it seems.. However he seems like a really cool guy whose passionate about racing and isn't just doing it for the publicity. He always seems so eager to help out and learn from other drivers and judging by a few interviews I've seen with him he knows what he's talking about. Cool guy.

According to Autosport, it seems Greaves will be at Sebring this year. Odd to think they'd make the journey and have no one to compete with... Unless they know something we dont

No one is keeping up with the news here it seems, so I'll put it out there for you guys-

What're you on about? That's autosport's list for starters. Lotus is named twice because it's chassis and engine in LMP2... and there are two Lotus's? :dopey:

No Deltawing? Not sure if good or bad.

GT Pro is going to be EPIC at Le Mans.
3 Ferraris. 2 factory supported Porsches, Aston Martins, Vipers, and Vettes.

And 2 Toyotas. :D

Can't wait.

Well neither is this Green GT car or whatever. And it wasn't eligible last year either.

It is Only this year for Garage 56. The Deltawing was a one time only occupant because of Garage 56 so again, its not eligible hence why its not on the list. Also, nothing in Garage 56 is eligible for the WEC.

And Corvette won't win. 4 Aston's mate ;)

Are you kidding? 2 Manthey Porsches with factory support. How can Porsche not win.

I'm just surprised they invited this green GT car or whatever it's called and not the Deltawing.

Purpose of Garage 56 is to showcase a new car each year.

And Porsche, yeah well Aston ftw :sly:

Porsche vs Aston vs Ferrari vs Corvette vs Viper all with factory support? I'm salivating right now just thinking about it..

I think this will be the best Le Mans in years because of the factory support in GTE is amazing and a sweet field once again Good Job ACO/FIA

Mac K
Corvette will wipe the floor with the Vipers :P. Haha.

I beg to differ :sly:. The Viper will scare everyone off the track, it's a poisonous car now..... Hehe :mischievous:.
