I don't think his driving style is aggressive at all. I think he's quite passive.I just don't think his aggressive driving style will suit GT cars.
So Highcroft, etc is just done with the Deltawing and it's Panoz's problem now?
So we have the guy running a team and the series at the same time?
This can only be a bad thing.

Interesting about the Delta Wing. I thought it might be able to compete with P1 once they got the active diff sorted, but it's not mentioned in the article. Just more power and less weight. I'm sure it won't be allowed to happen, but wouldn't it be cool to see the Delta Wing running up front with Audi and Toyota (and Porsche)?? And at what... 1/10th the cost of the others?
hawkeye122Back to Aston- Smart move getting Dumbreck and Senna, as far as "Best drivers available" goes.
The Deltawing... gosh. I want to hate it but have no reason to. I would love to see Highcroft get into LMP2 though. Between Level 5, Highcroft, and maybe even Dempsey, we could again have an ok LMP2 field. Heck, have Starworks kick in another team, too.
In more, actual news, Romain Dumas will join Luhr and Graf at Pickett Racing for Sebring.
Out of the ALMS. correct?Level 5 is out..
Am I better off ordering my tickets for Road America now? It's a combo weeked with Grand Am in August so they might go fast...
And which past F1 driver finished this years Daytona 24 in 1st?
Juan Pablo Montoya.
Was he an aggressive F1 driver?
I don't know as I don't watch F1.
All we do know is he can drive any race car, and be competitive.
As most professional drivers.
Level 5 is out..
I know.
Ordered my Laguna Seca tickets, any particular places to sit and watch?
There's a building in the outfield near the front straight. It's up on a hill so it would be good for watching the start. I don't know if they'll open it up for the ALMS race. And if they do it'll likely be very crowded.
I know.

Hey guys, am I looking at an outdated list, or are there seriously only 15 cars at the Sebring test? 4 prototypes? 0 LMP2? Only MMPR in P1. I must be looking at a list that's wrong. There were more DP at the roar alone than that...

No thats correct. BMW has yet to release their car, and many of the GTC and LMPC teams either dont have the money, or dont really need to test since it's exactly the same thing they've run for the past 2 years.
But yeah, it seems a bit small to me too. Not to worry, they'll have a decent grid come Thursday practice before the race.
The merger must be scaring away teams too. No Corvette racing on the list. L5 has graduated to financing parking spots for the ALMS races (kidding) CORE isn't there. No Dyson. TRG AMR deal has flopped. There's got to be more cars at the actual race. It would suck as a fan to have Sebring tickets and only 15 cars show up. I'm hoping they get more cars. I don't know how the DP and P2 will be balanced next year if there aren't any P2 to balance.
hawkeye122I'm certain that Corvette and BMW will show up for the race, so theres another 4. Dyson and Rebellion will be there, and the Deltawing, and Aston Martin will bring one of their corporate cars.
The Pre-season test is just that- A test. Not everyone has to go. Last year the test was small as well.
The current consensus is that there WONT be a P2 in next year's DP class. So they'll just have to throw 150 more horsepower at the DP's.
Speaking of TRG, I've been looking for news about them for a while! Do you have a link?
Edit: Listening to RLM, it sounds like Darren Cox really wants to have a Nissan-Engined LMP2 car here next year.
