Glad to finally get a look at what this project looks like. It does look a bit like the Lotus (Kodewa), which is no surprise considering the same origin. Looks good. :)

Damn. Very smart move, Magny Cours is away from everything.

I believe they've been using it since the '60s.
I remember an account from I want to say Vic Elford when he was testing there with Porsche, a local had tried to short cut his way home from work by cutting across the track, only to find Vic bearing down on him in a Porsche 917.

I really can't help questioning why Honda don't put more money into P1 and have a factory WEC project going. Perhaps partner with McLaren on it?

They're trying to make money. That's why Honda isn't going factory

Is it possible that Honda are using the freedom in P1's engine regulations to develop and test their F1 engines in order to circumvent the FIA's restrictions on development and spending?
With the amount of races, qualifying sessions and practice sessions each F1 engine has will have to run, they must be nearing endurance race amounts of mileage. If all the hard work and money is spent in P1 then transferred, Honda could say they have spent practically nothing on their F1 engines!

Welcome to :gtpflag:

Since you work at COTA, have you heard any info from your colleagues or others in the facility on whether USCR will run their next year? (Rumors are they will, but no one has officially confirmed it)

I have no official word on whether USCR will run next year unfortunately. Would love to see it there though.

I can't wait for COTA this weekend....it will be amazing. I wish Rebellion would run in both races but I don't see them on the ALMS entry list--probably don't want to risk their car for the series they don't race full time in. Ah, well.

So now Fox Sports has decided they're NOT airing the WEC race live. Thanks for getting my hopes up... sheesh. :banghead:

Did they ever indicate they would? As much as I wanted it to happen, my hopes kinda went to hell after Speed become Fox Sports 1.

From what I understand it will stream here like other WEC races.

GA ran there earlier this year, didn't they? Seems only natural to form a relationship between the new series and this track. Here's hoping. :D

The FIA livestream will be way better anyways, HD, no commercials and Radio Le Mans commentary.

Apparently the Deltawing Coupe went faster than Muscle Milk in practice today..

Hope they can fix the transmission before tomorrow. It would be cool to see the Delta Wing battle it out with MM.
