The Le Mans General Discussion Thread

Can't they just retire and not be classified, therefore the rule will be cast aside for the #2 just like the Toyota #7.

None of them can score points, therefore they can all be champions.

Apparenlty it was a gear linkage failure, so he can't get any gears, and Loic is getting out now so it's all over and they are all champions barring the race being shortened.

#1 reported for overtaking under yellows with a Porsche whilst passing his teammate #2 which had stopped moments earlier....this is one weird race.

Audi frailty shocker. Can't tell it's the end of the year can you.

Oops. Number 1 passing under yellow. Naughty boy.

Edit. Drive through penalty.

Aston Martin AM class champions. Might be lowest ranking class in the WEC but by no means an easy feat. After this season as well, it's so fitting.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY. Toyota finally got a proper win. And the #95 got AM by 1 point, absolutely brilliant.

Took a screenshot of a video from my phone, sorry for the bad quality. Phone camera was confused by the lighting I couldn't get any proper still pic. I used to get them just fine during the day.

What happened with Fisichella?! I know he wasn't at his best yesterday but to change the driver lineup is a bit harsh. Bruni didn't even wanted to talk about it and I think it is a bad move by Ferrari, winning a championship or not, putting him aside only (I assume) for his performance yesterday is not how I understand 'team effort'.

@JustinYou have to remember, they consist of 14 marques, so they make a ton of money. So they can afford to have 4 race cars from Porsche, and 3 from Audi.

And a factory program in North America. And a WRC team. And a DTM team. And a MotoGP team. And a WSBK team. And a WTCC team. And a brand-new, factory GT3 car. VAG must have VERY deep pockets.

Of course they do! But remember that the racing program's budget come's straight out of the brand's marketing budget which is paid for by the particular brand and the money they make. These companies are in business to make money, not go racing...
