There was also issues with the brakes on a toyota aswell
Ambitious, too bad that most of these projects will never see the light of day.The all-new IM01 should be completed at the end of 2015, with the aim to run it at the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 2016 and break Stefan Bellof’s lap record of 6:11.13. After that the team wants to be in ‘Garage 56’ and compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2017 or 2018.
This. I like.
I remember seeing it in the Grand-Am GT class last year for a couple of races.
Le Mans 2011 says hi x2What I was reffering to was the Lotus Evora GTE (which was the one that only competed in ALMS):
IIRC it finished 22nd? 6/7th in class? It's a shame they were like 10 seconds off the pace as they really looked good , especially in the Jet Alliance livery.
If I recall the Evora GT4 had a bit of success in British GT.

Doesn't seem to have done anything since 2012...Could just be me, but I think I may have found where the former AJR Lotus Evora went:
Not good but you could tell even at Le Mans, after the drivers parade thier drivers had to walk/find thier own way to the hotel.RAM Racing disappear:

Considering they shot down the Multimatic Mustang GTE idea really quickly, we'll see just how far this one gets. If they can get a team with funding, you'll see it. If not, it'll be just like every other rumor.Follow on - this just in - GTE Ford GT for the future perhaps?

I do see the Ford EcoBoost engine coming overseas though. It's been in an LMP2 since Project Libra ran it.
Ford isn't going to go GTE pro unless they have a Penske type team signed to run it. They really didn't do Doran many favors when he ran the GT in the GT2 class. I really see a customer car being sold to a GTE-am team in the making. That's what Ford does. They try to make a little ROI out of their sports carsWell it has to be a team that they think they can win and beat the likes of the top groups right now, they're already having troubles in TUDOR with the Corvette Protos and NASCAR they've only begun to rise back to success with Penske. So they need to find a group like a Penske or maybe Penske himself (though I doubt it with his V8 supercars future). Funding and drivers isn't going to see them start a GTE team if that was the case then we would have gotten the Mustang in the fastest trim possible, but they knew that car wasn't going to do the job for LM.
It'd be great to see the GT back again, I think the two years of production for the last model wasn't long enough

From Doran in an old Race-car Engineering article I saved:
‘This is all our own work,’ explains Doran. ‘Ford were too busy to get involved and it didn’t really catch the interest as it’s not a production model. We worked closely with them in Daytona Prototypes and we do have some engine support via Roush Yates, but it’s really a private project.’
I was backing you up there 👍Which is what I just said... "Echo echo echo echo..." Doran wasn't backed by Ford factory wise.
That includes them not helping on the GT1 cars ran by Matech as well as the GT300 version in Super GT. Yes Ford don't do much help if any unless it's NASCAR related in the past. But this is different now and why it's so interesting because they have indeed ramped up work done in Tudor and have shown interest internationally. Which makes sense with this global outreach they're trying to do with their Brand (see new mustang). I mean if you had asked me back at Le Mans this year if I would expect to see Ford anytime in the next couple years, I'd have agreed (and I did say) the wouldn't come back at all.
Now with this new news I'm not so sure or quick to say that.
