The Le Mans General Discussion Thread

Yes, Marc Gene was Peugeot works driver, and Le Mans winner in a 908, along with Brabs and Wurz in the 2009 edition. That trio was then changed with Brabs being replaced by Davidson, but Peugeot never won again (2010 and 2011)

Yes I just remembered that. He is the only Spanish driver to win overall at Le Mans I think.

Does someone have a list of where/what the Peugeot Drivers are doing?

Davidson-Toyota
Wurz-Toyota
Lapierre-Toyota
Bourdais-Pescarolo
Minassian-Pescarolo
Sarrazin-Starworks (LMP2)
Gene- Audi (Reserve)

Pagenaud- Now running his first "Full" Indy Car season for... The HP car. Whatever team owns them.

Lamy- Labre Competition/ FIA GT1 C6R
So we may see him in the GT-Am car? Maybe?

I feel like I'm missing 3 or 4. Anyways, good to see that they all got decent drives.

Yeah, where is Montagny?

Yeah, where is Montagny?

I asked that question too.

What if he follows Jacques Villeneuve and Olivier Panis to the French-Speaking-Washed-up-F1-drivers-recovered -by -Sports -cars -and -let -go -again Graveyard which is the Andros Ice Trophy?

Hey hey now. Jaques is good. He is one if my favorites tbh. Why he's doin the Andros trophy? I don't know. If I were him, I would try to win overall at Le Mans like he did in 2007 so he can be the second driver to achieve the triple crown. As for Panis, he was never the same after his crash.

Thought Villenueve was busy doing stock racing now (Last I checked anyway).

Yeah, he was doing some stock car racing last year but it seems like he's no longer racing this year. I didn't see him in the Nationwide Series either.

Pagenaud is also doing select races for Muscle Milk (HPD in LMP1 class). He did Sebring, and I think he will do Le Mans too.

Lamy usually shows up at the Nurburgring 24 Hours with BMW, not sure if it wil happen again this year.

No. He will still. He just only does Road Atlanta, Montreal, and maybe some other roadcourses. The Andros trophy is just somethi he did over the winter to stay busy.

Well, if you guys watch the list of cars going to this auction you'll see a few pretty mind blowing goods, many of them former Le Mans racers. Just a few examples:

... but if you venture out of LM cars, you can get, for a cheaper price ...

... or, even cheaper ...

But this is a Le Mans General thread so avoid commenting much on these cheaper cars I mentioned - they're off topic here

How nice. Peugeot will come start it for you for 3 years, at which point you should have learned...

I'd want it painted the same as last year's 908. I dont much like that livery.

Family is currently debating on switching from AT&T U-Verse back to Dish Network. Why is this relevent? Because at the moment, I get ESPN 3 thanks to having AT&T so I can keep up live with ALMS. If we switch over to Dish however, not only will I keep ESPN3, but I will also gain Speed 2, which means I can keep up with ALMS as well as the WEC and ELMS:dopey: The one thing thats stopping us from switching is of course the main problem with Satallite TV (from out past experience): Weather.

Pescarolo is testing the Dome. Traditional looking but beautiful car
