The Le Mans General Discussion Thread

Is ESPN3 broadcasting the race in the US? I don't see it on their schedule. ABC has it at 2:00 PM tomorrow, but I don't believe that's live as it's only a two hour slot. Anyone know why?

I was confused as well. From what I can tell, ALMS.com will start streaming live at 12:45pm. Then, ABC will pick up live coverage at 2pm and finish out the race. I assume at 2pm, the live feed on ALMS.com will go away and we'll be left with just the in-cars at that point.

Seems a little convoluted, but I'm not complaining. 2 hours of live coverage on one of the big 3 is a step in the right direction.

Also, I hope the 91 Viper get's its mechanical/electrical issues sorted. Can't wait to see those 2 on track.

Looks like Bernhard's return in that VLN race didn't go so well. I believe Romain Dumas was driver at the time of the incident and is rumored to be okay.

The WEC schedule is:

6 Hours of Silverstone (United Kingdom)- 26 August

6 Hours of Sao Paulo (Brazil, @ Interlagos)- 15 September

6 Hours of Bahrain (Sakhir, @ B.I.C.)- 29 September [Same as ALMS/ELMS Finale @ Petit Le Mans]

6 Hours of Fuji (Japan, @ Fuji Circuit)- 14th October

6 Hours of Shanghai (China, @ S.I.C.)- 27 October

That's good that the ALMS invited the ELMS to Petite Le Mans. Those poor ELMS guys haven't really had a real race all year. Except for LMP2. Hopefully the ELMS will grow as a result.

No ESPN3 coverage of the race because ABC did there corporate d**k waving...

I think the ALMS.com only works for non-US viewers via IP addresses. If you know what your doing you can get around this though lol.

And if this is successful, it may help the ALMS too.

The stream with the announcers is a little choppy for me.

Edit: I'm not having any problems with the viper stream though.

God WTF, ABC cuts out half the damn race and shows us a race recap. As far as coverage is concerned, this really is the dark age.

ALMS.com needs to upgrade their servers. Reminded me of an LMFAO song...

Everyday I'm buffering.

If ABC will actually show the race, it should be ok.

Edit: I haven't been able to load an in-car feed since the race started. :/
