Lag issue has only been recent...resetting router helps, also seems Monday has higher usage in nearby town of langham, which could be throttling back. Anyway after aug 11 it won't be a problem anymore. So your not sure? It's easy to check, if you see a cat5 cable going to it then you are hard wired. If not then you are WIFI and that is more than likely your lagging issue. Some leagues won't allow you in the room if you're not hard wired!
So are you saying you are wifi now and not hard wired?Lag issue has only been recent...resetting router helps, also seems Monday has higher usage in nearby town of langham, which could be throttling back. Anyway after aug 11 it won't be a problem anymore.
Last Monday we were full.
Are we going to two rooms if more people show up?
I should explain again....I mentioned the technician felt there may have been a staple put in the wire, so he said the PS4 may have been switching to wireless. Any how it will all be solved after aug 11th. They will upgrade my service, and run a new hard wire just for the hell of it.So are you saying you are wifi now and not hard wired?
If you are not hard wired, please go out and buy some cable, either Cat 5 or 6, it is cheap and you need to get some anyways. Hook it up from modem to PS4 and see what happens. It wouldn't surprise me if your lag issues went away.
Would be good to try this before we race again next week. Nobody should be racing online unless they are hard wired. As our room gets fuller, or is full like this week, the problem gets worse for the person lagging and it just isn't fair to others.
Sounds like we need to give you a 'retirement party'! Tell your wife you're going to a 'Project Cars' convention in Milluakee, it won't be your fault that your flight gets 'diverted' to Hawai'i.Lobban's replay at 1:53.00 - 1:53.30 is hillarious...!!!
I am tempted to vote, but I will be out of town for the next two Mondays and maybe the next two after that too. Retirement apparently has no predictive planning....
Talking of retirement - somewhat unofficial, but technically it was my first day of retirement today. Somehow it is not happening the way I thought it should... I got up at 6 am to take the car in for a service, did three loads of laundry while my wife went for a massage this afternoon and tonight went pub-crawling in a party bus with her girlfriends ... I had Polish sausages on the BBQ and chips with chip-dip on my own for dinner..... what's wrong with this picture????
find someone who can host without these problems, for SRM its mphile, he just happens to be one of the leaders, but thats not why hes still running the nights, hes running it because we barely get these problems .. but they happen. Maybe try a night of someone else running the room, all you need is the rules.. our "canadian internet" is apparantly too good for these 'muricans
Ok, you just weren't clear on the hard wire or not before. I used to run with an avg of 3-4 Mbps and rarely had any lag. Now I am getting consistent 9-10Mbps after an upgrade and everything rocks! I think you should still try running a new cable before they upgrade, then you will know if it was a problem with the cable or not. The cables are usually pretty hardy but can get damaged. I had to replace one of mine after pulling it through the back wall of my shop and I didn't notice a small tear in it from something sharp. The signal kept dropping but luckily I found the problem quickly. I have a 200 ft cable going from the modem in the house, running outside underground to a switch in the main shop. Then a 100 ft cable running to another switch in my man cave in the back and then a 20 ft cable to my PS4.I should explain again....I mentioned the technician felt there may have been a staple put in the wire, so he said the PS4 may have been switching to wireless. I'm sure the problem is with the internet speed itself, because Monday night is the only time it's a problem, when I check my speed at that time it's less than 1mb download. Later after 8 pm it goes up to 3 mb,.
My upgraded service I will be getting will be 10 Mb
Yeah, sorry again everyone for the lag....can't wait for the new supersquirrells to arrive!. It's been a learning experience for me. Hey...I don't call them Google bites anymore....megabytes...my vocabulary is expanding! The issue is not with the host, it's like when I was having horrible lag issues because my internet wasn't fast enough and then other people went on Netflix and such. If everyone was having the problem then maybe a host switch would be in order but that's not the case.
Look out in the future, my son installed a huge hard drive in my PlayStation
Let me correct you , that would be BOB's, not wankers!Wankers aero and lobban picked my two least favorite cars of the game. Haha
No...and for some reason it calls itself Hal 9000 ........I'll have to look that up on face tube.Did you ever figure out why your Playstation keeps greeting you as Dave?

Why, because you likely have 200 hrs of practice in it, lolIf the Lotus is chosen, look out!
I think it's because the Lotus handles very similar to Robbie's real race car. The one he's constantly crushing his competition in.Why, because you likely have 200 hrs of practice in it, lol
And BTW, your ranking of "12" will be ignored!!

I have found that there are some very very real characteristics when comparing the lotus 51 to my fv, but perhaps the biggest difference is how you catch the car and maintain the slip angle. Much more difficult to do in PCARS due to the lack of 'through the arse' feelingI think it's because the Lotus handles very similar to Robbie's real race car. Do you adjust FFB settings? There's a SOP (Seat Of Pants) setting that translates more oversteer into your wheel. Raising the value is supposed to give a better feeling of what the rear is doing.I have found that there are some very very real characteristics when comparing the lotus 51 to my fv, but perhaps the biggest difference is how you catch the car and maintain the slip angle. Ha, through the arse...![]()
Me, Mike, Sgeti and some SRM guys are usually up to no good on Fri night's, mostly AC. Likely on around 8, so by 10 we are half in the bag! Shoot us a message or look for us in a chat room.Anybody up for some beers and racing later tonight? 10:00 EST? Assetto or PCars. I'm sure I'll be around.
