i was looking the new road and track, and according to them the new .enzo is the best perfomance car in the world.

best 0-60 mph
best 0.100 mph
best 1/4 mile time
best 80-0 mph time.
quickest slalom

i don't saying the days of the mclaren are over,i just say now is another car on the top list of best perfomance car in the world.

but like any body have a own comments, lets see your opinion about it.

If it's true, awesome! I never have liked, and never will like, the McLaren F1.

I thought the Enzo was ugly when I first saw pics of it on websites, but after seeing real life pictures(pictures taken of Enzo's on the street, not Enzos in showrooms, and crap) I think it looks absolutely beautiful. Too bad it weighs so much.:scared:

There's a bit of conflicting information... Road and Track says that the Enzo is the new fast cat, but Car and Driver said that it's still barely outpaced by the McLaren.

Hmph.

I'd read that when testing two up and half a tank of fuel they're pretty much lineball, but I believe the McLaren runs out to a higher top speed.

i don't think the enzo could beat the mclaren on top speed, but i was sure if ferrari would make a f60 (tha was first name of the enzo) i would better than the last one.
and may better than any other car ever made.

i 'm a litle curious to see the top speed (ferrari said i would be around 215).

and of course a test of both on the same track, that would be awesome.

i was a few seconds ago in motor trend.com and their times are estimated not established,so i don't think they could use as fact.

A pretty knowledgable person over at supraforums.com said the Enzo redlines at 208mph. May, or may not, be true.

btw here are the numbers of the test.

enzo mclaren
0-60 mph 3.28 s. 3.4
0-100 mph 6.6 7.7
1/4 mile 11.1 @133.0 mph 11.6@125.0 mph
80-0 188 feet . 215 feet.
slalom 73.0 mph 66.5 mph
skidpad 1.10 g 0.86g

(note) the mclaren numbers are according to my old R&T mag.

If I'm not mistaken, I remember reading an article about the McLaren F1 and it has a 0-60mph of 2.4 seconds. I'll have to go read up again to make sure. I read the article months ago.

I thought it was 2.3, or 3.2. One of those.:odd:

The Bugatti Veyron 16/4 is a better performer than the Enzo. It want to be to with 746kW stock! The Veyron also has a top speed of 406kph (252.3 mph) which is considerably faster than the Enzo at 350 kph (217.5 mph). The only thing is, I don't think the Veyron is in production at the moment - or if it ever will be.

the 217 mph is based on stimated,so is not a fact.
and about the beyrong i didn't read any real test of is so i don't know if all that is true or not, again those number are estimated not a fact.

and btw i would love see that bugatti again the enzo on a track,i bet 200 to the enzo.

now i see the enzo on the track i am starting to like the look of the enzo

I McLaren's top speed is better for sure... 240 someting mph... I'm not sure about the other statistics though. I was reading a magazine off of a newstand and in it, it had also compared the Enzo and the McLaren's numbers together, and the Mclaren had come out on top too. They weren't comparing top speeds again, but I don't remember exactly what they were comparing. It could of been the 0-60.

the mclaren F1 LM 0-60's time got under 3secs i am fairly sure

but that one is not the production model.
and if this the case i got a few street legal cars to show you.

and about the other mag i read afew seconds ago another mag on the net and they says their time on the enzo was slower than the mclaren ones, but at the finals lines on red lines they says, just a day before our test another mag make a test and in those number the enzo was better than the mclaren.

it is the LM road car(not talking about the race car)
its the orange one with a big rear wing
it has faster acceleration but slower top speed

You know, I really haven't seen any "real" pictures of the Enzo out on the street (although I have seen it in person, which I guess is better!). Where did you find them?

I've seen one in yellow, but it was on a car hauler going down the opposite side of the highway.:banghead: A local Porsche dealer said they were getting a new Carrera GT soon, and I'm really anxious to see one of those IRL. Anyways...

Wow. Nice links man. Those were some great pictures. But it's true, the showroom pictures you see off the Enzo really does make it look worse. (Which you would think would do the opposite.) These pictures make the car look better, but I still don't think it looks that great. I would prefer a Modena anyday.

Damn... Carbon Fiber pads... Those are going to be a ***** to replace... And do you have to open up the back everytime you get gas?

$6,000 for the pads, and something like $24-26,000 for the brake rotors themselves. I would be very, very, cautious of how hard, and much, I used the brakes in an Enzo.:scared:

You have to use a certain type of Shell oil, which is like $60/quart. Something like $760 for an oil change. If you don't use that cetain oil, and mess the motor up, Ferrari says a new motor will cost around $220,000 - insane!

I don't know, but I sure wouldn't mind lifting the back everytime, and seeing that big ass V12, and all of the carbon fiber.

Wow, it would be so nice to see one on the street like on the BMW forums...:)

Someone who buys that car won't even care about it.
