That mirror could belong to anything. It's got a pretty generic shape. The taillights are too close to the indented license plate area to be a Miata.

Seriously though, if Polyphony was an American company with our unions and work ethic GT5 would be released in 2015 and probably wouldn't be so perfect. Their dedication to this game is incredible. The last pic of kaz its past 3am, and im sure hes no stranger to working till the AM.

The mirror on the Dell and the car on the Sony screen could be completely unrelated for all we know.

I would think he would keep all of the older cars at least. It goes with Polyphony's whole dream of an automotive museum. They want to add all of the milestones in auto motive history. I just hope the Group C, Group B, and Can-Am cars make the cut.

Hard-top Miata?

Yep I think you have got it, I was driving today and I saw the mirror (from the render) and it was on a Miata (my first instincts were Miata anyway) and now looking the current model I am sure thats it (or very similar), if you zoom in on the rendered pic you can even just see the boot/trunk keylock in the correct location.
Yep I am quite sure it matches the current MX5 (Miata) not the previous two generations, or atleast a variant of it.
Thinking about it, maybe this is the facelifted 2009+ version shown at the Paris motorshow, which may explain the timing of them modeling this car.

You very much could be right on that. I originally thought it couldn't be it because of the exhaust and the radio antenna, and well as the indentation of the licence plate area that can't be seen in the red cars render.

all i know, we actualy now know that pd is putting actual effort into gt5, that takes loads of weight off the shoulders =D

Whether the red car is a Del Sol or a MX-5 doesn't really matter, they're cars that are pretty much guaranteed to be in GT5. They're iconic Japanese sports cars, it's expected that PD includes these two cars.

Whether assets are being made to be added to Prologue or the full version, it's the same thing - work is being done.

No, they are legit [just like the old green/blue PS1 machines and the PS3 Test] ... essentially just debug consoles that can play unsigned code. They pop up on ebay from time to time and I have to admit the 'slim' PS2 Test looks very tasty!

I really Hope each month PD gives us feedback what cars they done and are working on, tracks, new effects, etc.. I like to be fill in some info as they progress with GT5. Because it is a RACING game and not game like MGS4 that needs a great SUSPENSE till game is released.

Instead of just insulting our eyesight, would mind actually telling us why you think it's not a Miata, you know, some useful discussion. All you've given us is that you think the tailights are different.In which there is only one in the photograph and it isn't even rendered. And from that angle, I think it might look something like the Miata's. Though that's certainly not the only possibility.

At first I thought so too, I thought the near edge of the light wasn't curved enough but then if you look at the near edge of the light on the far side of the Miata photograph it looks almost the same. If you compare the angles and then take into consideration the lack of rendering on the model and then imo at least, the new Maita/MX5 is currently the best match we've seen so far.
