Cheapest Car With HID's: Most of the time HID's are sold on high end sports cars and luxury model, show me some cars that are neither.

Negative :(

This Ain't No Chelsea Tractor: Most expensive SUV being used like an SUV should, i.e. really muddy, towing a trailer, stuff on the roof rack, 7 kids packed in there, etc. Something other then one little mom taking her one son to football practice.

Negative :(

Most Expensive Improperly Parked Car: The car that cost the most and isn't parked correctly...I bet it will be a Porsche.

Well... it's not the most expensive...

f3hbadparking1lh1.jpg

But it's probably the most badly parked...

f3hbadparking2qu3.jpg

Worth ~£18k when new, and about £1.8k now. I say "worth"...

Slowest White Car: 0-60, I tried to think of a generic category that many could enter. I'm hoping someone spots an old school Ford Bronco.

Oh my. This category and I had some fun this week...

Pick-ups
f3hslowwhite2rx8.jpg

Nissan Navara Outlaw (~10.8s)

f3hslowwhite1ds1.jpg

Suzuki Carry Pickup 1.3 (~19s)

Commercials
f3hslowwhite3yv3.jpg

Vauxhall Astra Club CDTi (~13.2s - 1.3 diesel!)

f3hslowwhite4oi9.jpg

Suzuki Carry 1.3 (see above)

Cars
f3hslowwhite5uc6.jpg

f3hslowwhite6dt4.jpg

Citroen AX 1.0 Highlight & Cascade - 13.5s

f3hslowwhite7uy3.jpg

Renault Clio 1.2 Les Routiers - 14.7s (marginally quicker than the occupant)

f3hslowwhite8nq5.jpg

SEAT Ibiza 1.0MPi - 18.8s

f3hslowwhite9ie8.jpg

Lada Niva 1.6 - 20.0s+ (we had one - I don't believe it's faster than 20.0s, but that's the only data I can find on it)

f3hslowwhite10wy6.jpg

Another shot of that motoring behemoth...

Aie!

I actually got nigh-on 40 shots of slow white cars...

Bonus
Mini Cooper S Convertible, two points if its the new Sidewalk edition.

Mini Cabriolet?

f3hminicabriotc7.jpg

Damn. It's a One.

f3hminicabrio2vp9.jpg

Closer... at least it's a Cooper.

f3hminicabrio3wm0.jpg

Nuts! Another Cooper.

f3hminicabrio4ur6.jpg

No, that's not right at all...

f3hminicabrio5yj6.jpg

Yay! 1 point please!

Can I have 1 point just for it being a Sidewalk, even though it isn't an S? Pretty please?

Yes I will allow a point for that since I didn't think anyone would see one of these because it's a $4000 option :scared:.

Anyways I'll be leaving soon so I'll probably judge these tomorrow just to make sure all time zones get till midnight.

Have you any idea how rare these are? They only ever made 300 in total, and I've only ever seen one on the road (in that Knightfire Red). Good spot!

Yay! Doubled my score.

You wouldn't happen to be driving when you took that shot, did you? :odd:

The car is in motion, yes. However, the photographer is not in charge of the car at the time - given that my car is RHD...

Cheapest Car With HID's:
Gashlycrumb with the van thing

This Ain't No Chelsea Tractor:
M5Power's Sequoia

Most Expensive Improperly Parked Car:
bennyrrr Ferrari at $264,034 which actually when converted to NZD is cheaper then the S63...but in America S63 AMG runs $127,775...I'm glad we are going to start the GAP next week.

Slowest White Car:
A tie between Famine's Lada Niva and M5's Sprinter van...they are both to close to call. Each get one point.

Bonus:
Famine
Roo
M5Power

Points breakdown
M5Power 3pt
Famine 2pt
bennyrrr 1pt
Roo 1pt
Gashlycrumb 1pt

Incidentally, I hope we're not including commercials (like Diego's Opel Vivaro panel van from several weeks back) in the slowest white car category...

I guess that'll be a "yes" then?

I hate including Commercials. They don't have well-publicised performance figures because people tend not to care about the performance of a 3.5 ton van. So we end up with vague things like my Suzuki Carry (19s, gleaned from a Youtube video...) and Doug's LWB Sprinter.

Or the Transit Luton Taillift I photographed but couldn't be bothered uploading, which can't reach 55mph.

Incidentally, I've been digging for data. This site puts the 80hp Niva 1.7i at 21s 0-60mph. My spot was a 1.6 Niva...

Further incidentally, I'm taking a point off myself for last week. I've just noticed that the Z3 I posted cannot be identified as a 6-cylinder model from the photograph I've taken,

Damn I missed that somewhere along the way...but with that site then I'll adjust.

I guess from now on we should include all the stipulations up front. Or maybe just a blanket rule the commercial vehicles are not allowed?

I'd still only get 2pt...

I'd say unless specified or unless firm-ish data can be provided for the vehicle in question.

Which might count my Lada out too, since I can't actually find any data for that specific car (leaving my Seat Ibiza to win - 18.8s for an actual car!)

For this week, I'd leave the points intact (conveniently allowing Doug to win and putting him out for a week... :D ), since we don't have rules to cover it.

That's pretty honourable of you... I didn't know you were capable of such 👍

👍

That's nice of you Famine - I'm astonished by your honesty!

Hehe, I've seen one at my College too. :D I'll try and take a picture of it if I ever see it again.

I'll try to put some entries in this week.

This has been fun finding cars from GTP, furthermore, finding multi-generational ones. Not having to go to school this week may limit it all however...

What? Did I miss some sort of holiday? You get the week off of school?

We get the week off after our mid-terms... Crazy "Catholic" private schools!

I like the options this week, I happen to own a vehicle whose trim was in all of the Gran Turismo games, so that's one point already :) YSSMan - Mind if I ask where you go to school?

Edit: D'oh, misread the theme, my trim wasn't in Gran Turismo so it won't count.

So far for the cars in GT i've pictured:
Mercury Cougar (newer generation)
Mid 90's Honda Accord
Dodge Intrepid
Dodge Stratus
Early 90's Infiniti G20
VW New Beetle
Toyota Prius
Honda Odyssey
Dodge Avenger
Newer Mazda Protege
Older Mazda Protege
VW Golf IV
Dodge Ram 1500
Mazda6

Saw a bunch of others (including a nice Mercedes SL500, Subaru SVX, Honda Fit) but I was driving and couldn't get the pictures without risking my life.

More cars photo'ed:
'05+ Ford Mustang GT
Gen-1 Mazda MX-5 Miata
Honda Fit

More cars spotted & pictured:
Hyundai Tiburon GT V6
2001-ish Subaru Impreza WRX Sedan (does this still count, even though the one in the game was a '98? We didn't get them until 2001 here in the U.S.)

Also got a pic of a nice BMW 328xi but only the 328i was in Gran Turismo so I don't think that'll count.

So, lets' say that I see a Buick Regal. And I see a Buick LaCrosse in the same photo. Is that double points then, or am I confused?
Oh, and is family members' vehicles outlawed for category 4?

Own and family members' vehicles are not outlawed in any category ever. Unless stated. Which it isn't.

Is a Buick Regal the predecessor/successor to the Buick LaCrosse? I'm not massively familiar with Buicks (or American sedans in general). If that's your chain then it's worth 2 marks. If they're in the same photo, it's worth 4 marks (2 marks x double same photo bonus). Whoever gets the most marks gets the SINGLE POINT AVAILABLE FOR THE CATEGORY.

Thirdeye - less talk, more photos. :D

Joey - Are you sure that's brown? It looks bronze to me...

Fair enough

I just checked Jaguar's paint catalogue and they don't have bronzes - but they DO have browns:

Portland Beige Thermoplastic, Grosvernor Brown Thermoplastic, Antelope Thermoplastic, Curlew Thermoplastic Grosvenor Brown, Satin Beige Clear over Base Woodsmoke, Chestnut Brown Thermoplastic Metallic.

So you currently = win.
