I'm sure all of this would be hilarious, if only I knew what fellatio was....

:dopey:

How can it cost £400,000 to produce a logo? I mean, come on......surely they could have come up with something better than that.

It's a type of pasta... next time you go for an Italian meal, ask the waiter for it 👍
I don't recall ever seeing that on a menu. Will they still do it even though it may not be listed?

They'll extort you with the service charge though...

I've just seen on the BBC news that the promotional material has given people epileptic fits. At least the logo is distinctive.

Yeah, I watched it yesterday, and the first thing that popped into my head was “They can’t put this on TV – it’ll give people seizures”. It looks like they took down the original promo and have replaced it with something that doesn’t talk about the branding at all.

Have any of the olympic logos really been any better?

Also, am I the only one thinking that if you need a logo to be interesting in something like the olympics coming to your own country you need a kick?

Since you haven't had an Olympic Games in your nation for a while, Let me be the first to say: You have no idea how many times you are going to be confronted with that logo over the next five years.

In America, out US Olympic committee pimps their name and logo onto every possible product, especially in the 12 months before the Games begin. If there could be the official anti-depressant pharmaceutical of the US Olympic team, there would be one. And woe be to anyone who uses it improperly...

It's almost as ugly as spelling 'ugliest' with a 'y.'

This can't be limited to just the London committee. Didn't that have to be approved by the IOC?

Perhaps Famine's representation suggests how approval was obtained.

The logo with the river is awesome, although I'm not keen on the typeface.

There ought to be a contest on whether anyone can find anything uglier. Nothing else can approach the sheer idiocy of that five-minutes-on-a-napkin-in-a-pub design. In fact, I know for sure that a lot of prettier things have resulted from bar-napkin-sketches.

I almost had a fit when I saw that logo and I don't even have epilepsy.

It actually reminds me of the kind of signs local councils used around Nottingham in the 80's for swimming pools and other 'urban regeneration' projects. I looked at them in disgust then!
It doesn't yell out to the world 'welcome to london' does it?!?!

All the logo has to do is increase awareness of the event. Judging by all fuss in the press - not to mention 3 pages of coverage in some obscure computer game forum

Considering the going rate for a page advert in a national newspaper wouldn't leave you much change from £70k - it would seem that it's £400k well spent for the organisers.

I don't know about you guys, but I LIKE IT!

 I think they have a reason for that UGLY designed logo :yuck: :yuck: :yuck: :yuck: maybe they just want to screw up the olympic games so that noone want to watch it or its just the money.....who knows, but whoever design this must have **** for brains and have pigs for a parent (no offence). But really, what idiot would design this?even a 3 year old kid knows how to draw better than this!!( or is it....). This has to be one of the ugliest logo of the 21st century for all i know (but it could been worse) 👎 :grumpy: :indiff: 🤬 :irked: :boggled:

I cant believe london would do this.... :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Well Im thinking about it and maybe in 5 years it may fit in more with a more modern London, thats what all this money and research went into? Style and tastes can change a lot in 5 years.

Right now though I think its embarrassing for our city and needs to be scrapped.
