I'd like it go back to a 2.6(I know it was inline though) and start over again. 3.0 is good. Makes me think prices will drop to R34 level.

And even when the R35 debuted at such a great bargain they couldn't keep the prices low for very long (meaning more than a year) anyway.

I'm not thinking $50K USD. An R35 is $160k AUD. Is the R36 going to be over the R35 NISMO in performance? If not, I'm thinking $100k AUD. The 370Z is like $70k+ AUD.

It has long been rumoured that the R36 GT-R will have up 700bhp thanks to it's hybridised 3.0 V6T. I reckon Nissan will want to stay a level above the 550bhp Honda NSX.

Regardless, Nissan need to put huge focus on weight reduction as the R35 GT-R, while incredibly capable, was just too heavy. I am expecting performance and pricing to be in a different league to the R35.

I think they'll struggle with that. All the hybrid gubbings will just add considerable weight. I can't see where they could possibly slash much weight from it. I doubt it could be much smaller and using composites in the construction will just add to the cost.

Feeling inspired by the GTR Le Mans car, i decided to do a little sketch. I haven't drawn for about 4 months so i feel a bit rusty at drawing TBH. It's still a work in progress so there may be a few changes to the finished pic, but i thought i'd share the unfinished sketch anyway.

That looks good if not a little small, but if Nissan do go along these lines that would be really interesting.

well i don't like the headlights, but that's because i don't like the GTR LM headlights too. The rest is good stuff man.

Thanks guys. 👍

I started to work on a slightly (not by much) different version. It's unfinished and needs the little details adding. I guess it's kind of like a missing link between the current GT-R and the Nismo Le mans GT-R.

What i was aiming for. Road going version of this:

Nissan GT-R Nismo LM:

Great, Godzilla got chubby.

It looks like they softened all the edges on the current GT-R and made it look all cute.

I don't know whether you're referring to my sketch above or the renders on the previous page, but i guess my sketch does make it look chubby.
If it were not for the Nismo LM GT-R, my design sketch would probably look a bit sharper, like this sketch a did a while back.

Great work again, will make a concept soon too.

Oh I was referring to this picture. Great sketch btw 👍
Thanks. 👍

Great work again.
Thanks.
Will make a concept soon too.
Great, looking forward to it. 👍

Thought i'd change the colour back to red on a slightly adjusted sketch, and when i overlayed it on top of the blue version and adjusted the opacity levels, i inadvertently made a kind of midnight purple colour
Crappy mess aside, i think it looks quite good in that colour.

Thanks guys. 👍

Im currently watching a stream of the Le Mans race and I found out Nissan wanted to be different and make this a FWD car. Apparently its way off pace, behind the slowest class cars, LM GTE AM.

Welcome to 6 months ago. :P They are not slower than the GTE cars, but are behind them in the standings due to issues during the race. But 2 of the 3 cars are still running and will likely finish.

Thanks guys. 👍

actually... this looks good. I like the side vents under the headlights.

I'd give it another year before anyone is going to want to drive something that reminds them of that car.
