Just out of curiosity, when was the last time an online petition got anything changed?

I mean, we didn't get Firefly back on the air.
And Paris Hilton didn't get pardoned.
And I'm pretty sure there was one to get the Florida votes re-recounted.

So you're fighting a losing battle here ...

We managed to get Fox to release the film "Grand Prix" on DVD through a petition. That was a lot of people though, in the thousands, from all over the world. Fox based their reason for releasing it on DVD because of the petition.

I can see what people mean by this small petition being insignificant, and possibly counter productive, but to me it's worth a shot. Better than not saying anything at all.

I think it was in the email we all got from the starter of the petition when he announced that Fox agreed to release it on DVD. The movie has a bit of a cult following so it doesn't surprise me that Fox needed to be told about the want for it, anyway. They even added some awesome nostalgic extras in a nod to the older racing nerds who signed it! The whole package was very cool.

I do agree that there are some petitions that have the voice of a mouse though. Take the "Save the Monza Banking" one, for instance. And this one as well, possibly. But I stand by what I said before, better to say something than nothing at all.

If they see that there was no response to the news that GT5 Prologue not coming here at all, well, what does that say to them about future sales of GT here?
