Finally golded driving school, yay!
I just had two more to go, and they went down very quickly. 'City Slicking' took 5 tries and 'The 90' took only 2 (!).
The Hotknife is not at all worth the trouble, but I'm still glad I finally got it.

its a good feeling :D

Hotknife isnt worth it, but then again its a car you can only get by doing that. If it was a turismo or something, its car you can get elsewhere..

I hear they sometimes spawn for firetruck missions, but not in the 48 I did. So I just put in the fast car traffic cheat and stole one. Good thing, otherwise I would have been dissapointed by it's unfabulousness. The suspention is cool though, and at least it's unique. Getting a Bullet for silver was annoying, as there's another one 3 blocks away.

Next "110%" completion task for me: Get all the unique stunt bonii.

Hey Spuds, I tried your suggestions (thanks for them 👍 ) for fixing my save, but couldn`t get it to recover. The xbox`s way of saving doesn`t allow for the type of fix that works on the PS2, apparently 👎. I`m guessing the only possibility would be to keep playing it, and maybe it`d eventually correct itself. I`ve been lucky up to now as far as not experiencing any of the known glitches in VC or SA. I was overdue to get one, I suppose :grumpy:.

I wasn't sure it would work but thought it worth a try-- sucks to lose that much progress.

Maybe everybody in SA is freaked out by your killing stat :dopey: -- I seem to remember Acidman having something similar to this in his killing save in VC too... he just lived with it

What the...? I signed in, but it still says I`m offline.

Ya know, I think I will keep playing that save after all. I discovered yesterday that trying to fly from city to city by buying tickets crashes the game. This save is definately SCREWED :banghead:, but onward and forward!👍

Hmm, I've only bought a ticket once, and that was just to see what it was like. I got bored and jumped out halfway through the flight :P Ever noticed it's still CJ in the cockpit?

Sorry to hear about your savegame. I don't think my total is even at 200 hours yet, I can't imagine loosing that much progress.

I never really got the point of buying a ticket if I don't just skim time and appear there. why would I buy a ticket when I could just jack a plane for free? Never really understood that.

Sorry if im interrupting the smooth flow of this discussion board lol But i have just spent the last few minutes now, pondering.
For the PS3, i reckon, they should, or its certainly more than possible to remake a far improved version of Vice City. Just all round improved, then again, you would need to change characters...ah, lol, i have just realised, that would be totally pointless unless you completely changed the map, storyline, characters etc. Ah well, it was atleast an idea that lasted a bit more than 3 minutes...lol. doh! no matter
Doh again, it is Off-off topic, ha! my bad big time, sorry

I would like a VC re-make. Bigger Islands. More cars, bikes, planes and boats. New Characters.
And keep that 80's feeling!

(San Andreas is still my favorite.)

vc was good but the cars were nowere near as good as the ones in san andreas

(wish they made a skyline car)

I especially like seeing a forklift barreling down the highway at 100 MPH in SA...... 👎

the worst is when your in a fast car trying to overtake something crappy like a journey(caravan) then all of a sudden it starts going twice as fast as you

Besides the pure sillyness of 200km/h forklifts;
-They don't maintain a constant speed, they get sporadic bursts of speed to... Uh. I can't think of any purpose, really.
-They change lanes instantly for no reason. *******!
-If you're about to hit a car going stupid fast, and tap the brake a little to slow down, it will slow down exactly as much. So if you can't go around, you can either stop completely or hit them.

Uh, like the Elegy?

Definatly agree with you there Emohawk, seriously annoying!I found it hard once to keep up with a landtrain rig thing, in a Nos boosted Super GT, then when u finally be persistant with the speed, you eventually go past it, those daft random bursts of speed, ugh, no matter, because this will all be sorted and polished off in the next GTA installment! >D
San Andreas my fav, but, really, i want Vice City to be my favourite for some reason, its the 80's feel of it, its got to be lol, bloody wierd i tell thee.
Still, perhaps a Vice City Re-vamping wouldn't really be a bad idea at all, now that, i think about it further, problem is, would people want another Vice City for the PS3?

Simple, it saves a little time. Plus, I don`t care much for flying whether it`s in SA or real life :dopey:. And I need to spend all that money on something! :dopey:

Yes it sucks, but will allow me to have better stats once I make up the lost progress. I considered starting all over with my most recently completed game; only 40-50 hours have been amassed on that one. But then I`d have to make up roughly 6 months of gameplay 👎. If only I could go back in time & start rampaging with my current techniques, but on a save which has been completed in the minimum amount of time possible for me to complete it. My killing stats would be incredible! :sly:

Oh man, I never knew you could skip it! I thought I had to sit through and watch the whole animation. Arggghhh...

A) Takes too long to lock on to anything, I've only ever found it usefull for shooting down police helicopters en masse. It looks cool though.
B) If it was capible of rapid fire, as it was in VC, it would be much better (as would the sawn off shotguns). Too easy to blow yourself up with it for my tastes. Some people may prefer this, but I like the minigun.
C) With the slow travel of rockets and the time it takes them to reload, the minigun may blow things up just as fast. The ability to actually aim it now gives a huge step up from VC's minigun as well. I think it's just as effective an impliment of destruction as the RPG now, and you can't hurt yourself with it. On top of that, it's hitscan, so you don't need to lead your shots on helicopters.
D) Well, it is pretty fun, I'll give it that. I don't think there's anything better for taking out large crowds, but once you've done that and the cops are on your ass, it's not so good. It's short range, and can't take out vehicles. I've got almost every other weapon in my inventory to deal with soft targets, a heavy weapon that can't blow up helicopters is useless.

Minigun for me, with unlimited ammo it never needs to reload, one massive constant fire of bullets!!!

Brilliant!
