Not my church, but the sky was beautiful at the time so I snapped a picture.

Hopefully this works

EDIT: Yay! It worked! Heh, just barely too. 1022kb.

Love the water in this one...., especially in full resolution.

Very nice!

I took that pic a few days ago in the mountains. It was really cold and the water that runs over that leaf froze and created this little frozen water fall that went all the way to the ground which was about two feet. That's a close-up shot.

Wow I haven't taken any pictures in awhile. But since I'm limited to my backyard and it's winter everything is dead.

A pic taken with a lower picture size on the camera.

Crap. What can i do to get rid of those tags?

Don't put them there. The URL for the thumbnail already has the
tags.

It would be better if the emblem wasn't dusty (well, it looks like dust) and IMO the lens flare has got to go. Cool idea though. 👍

Well, I just grabbed a paper towel and wiped it off, so that's probably what it is. I'll use something else later and try again. And i'm not stupid but I don't believe I know what lense flare is, so if you could tell me maybe I could fix it. :)

It's not really lens flare...I just couldn't think of the name off the top of my head and I still can't. I think it's just a blow out spot meaning the whites are so bright that it is a distraction. I'm sure DiabolicalMask could do a better job of explaining. ;) Anyway, It's the bright spot with trails coming off of it at the top right. The thing that kinda looks like a star.

Why don't you like it? I think it looks cool. I'll try it at a different time of day nextime and see if I can get rid of that. I think I took this one at high noon so that's why it's so bright.

No actually its not. Theres still tons more sand than the rocks and bits of shell. I would say there's really no more shell in this sand than there is in normal, white sand. The major difference between the two sands is the color.

Actually, I can't... 👎
I'm not that technical, to be honest.

I believe it's a matter of overexposure (as you probably know as well), though I can't explain anything else, like the star-shaped figure, for example.
But I agree with you that it's not Lens Flare.

And to help you, Raptor65, lens flare occurs when pointing the camera directly towards a bright light source.
The light then "bounces" (reflects and refracts) between the several elements that compose the cameras lenses, creating poligonal shapes that mimic the shape of the aperture blades.

That's about all I know.

Here's and example of lens flare:

Another shot at the Nissan close-up. I used the Frontier this time. No dust, no sun but the reflections suck, with the house and other car in there, ugh.. I need to choose a different place to take the picture nextime. Somewhere besides my driveway.

A couple more close-ups of a twenty dollar bill.

Are you ready for your close-up Mr.Jackson?

The pic of the emblem is better, except for the fact that the top bit is a tad blurry/out of focus.

The twenty dollar bill is cool. I like the colors. Good DOF too. Is that the newly issued bill, with the peach color to it?

Yeah, that's one of the new ones. I couldn't get any good shots of the back. I was lucky to get those shots. The light was so low I could barely get it to focus but once I did it created those good color effects.

The emblem was a good idea I guess but I can't seem to get it perfect. Balancing the reflections, the sun and simply not getting myself in the picture are not allowing me to get a perfect shot. I may try it again sometime in a different location so as not to get those stupid reflections but I dunno'.

Thanks for the comments and criticisms. :)

More pictures. They're a lot smaller, though. I tried to resize them a while back for here before you guys told me about imageshack. Hopefully I haven't already posted some of these earlier. If I did then sorry.

Some more regular sized ones.

That's George Hincapie in the middle, for those of you who know. From the Pro Michelin Classic here in Greenville

One of my favorite pictures of all. I was pretty lucky to get it. If only I could've been a split second faster, I could've gotten George but, mind you, these guys are going almost 40mph.
EDIT: After looking at this pic, I think the resizing job made it a little more blurry than it actually is. Sorry about that. It looks a bit better on it's original resolution.

Azailia (sp?) Bush.

Close-up.

More pictures!

A dangerous part on the Mt.LeConte trail

Mt.LeConte has really friendly squirrels.

I bought this 3-D map of the Blue Ridge Mtns a while back and it is awesome. It has roads and everything so I highlighted a bike ride I tried to do one time. It's part of a 100 mile ride but we were just gonnna do this section. I was unaware as to how long and hard the ride was gonna be so I bonked and had to turn back at the red frowny face. :guilty: You cant' see the whole route, I didn't get it in the picture.

A shot from the summit Mt.LeConte, second highest mtn east of the Mississippi river. Sorry about the lense flare but the sun was freakin' bright that day and I don't have any filters so there was nothing I could do.

A little left from the previous shot.

Great Pictures Raptor65! Reminds me of home.....IN THE SPRING! We just have lots of snow and grey skys.... It was nice to see all that color!

~Thanks~

Not sure about the word, may re do it. I like the colors in this one, those are how the camera captured it. A little saturaton in PS done, to bring out how deep the night felt.

Thanks Pako! Our weather is pretty much like that right now too. Most of these pics were taken about 2 months ago and some even more. But whenever I get tired of the cold grey skys outside, I just look at pictures from the Spring and Summer and it helps to get me through the crap weather.

Thanks for the comments! :)

Burnout - That picture is pretty darn good to me. I don't think you need to redo it. I don't really get the title, though. Is it b/c the lamp is out or what? 👍
