Out of curiosity, how many of you guys pre-arrange the objects you shoot, or pre-manipulate them in some way. For example, do you shoot fresh dew on leaves or spray them? Just curious on how you go about this sort of thing.

I try to go for the eau natural look, but in order to get something to look just right I might work some mischeif.

Also, is there anything particularly different about shooting skyscapes? I'm in awe of antihero's shot.

I rarely arrange what I shoot, as I like to capture things as I see. Also, its hard to move clouds and stuff, since alot of what I shoot is landscape and what not

I usually just take the picture. I don't try to pre-arrange anything.

@powripper, that is a great action shot. That dog is spread out perfectly
@TB, those shots are great shots of the animals. I like the camel.

It depends on what I'm doing. Sometimes I'll arrange it if I'm going for a specific effect. Other times, i shoot what I see.

Burnout, your pictures are getting better by the day.
Same for βlackbird there.

👍

Yes, Burnout, your pictures just keep getting better and better. I must ask for a wallpaper version of the last pic if you dont mind. 💡

Goomba, those colors... 👍👍👍

Are those straight off the camera or do you increase saturation and contrast a bit in photoshop?

You have some really great pictures there. Good job. 👍

I shoot in RAW format, which leaves colors a bit duller, edges a bit softer, and levels less... levely. All of which I change in Photoshop.

The colors are nice, but you should do more B&W shooting.👍

Man.

I went out and walked around for two hours, didn't get anything that I liked. Oh well. Here's what I think is the best.

Wish the lighting on the flower had somehow been better.. Guess I really couldn't have done a whole lot as the sky would've been overexposed if I had tried to lighten up the flower. Oh well.

I took a walk down to my local beach with my new fairly cheap camera, and was amazed by the results i got. I would love to post them, but they are on my good for nothing laptop, currently in pcworld for repair. I might post them later if the person i sent some to can send them back *crosses fingers*

Just got the Canon Powershot G6 :D. Took a few pictures on auto setting, there's so much to learn before I attempt some manual shots 👍. From what I can see, the G6 takes beautiful shots

Here's one of some flowers around the house:
