My parents were thinking of buying a new camera.
They're interested in one of these two:
Fujifilm FinePix S6500FD €250
Fujifilm-Finepix-FP6500fd.jpg

Sony Cybershot DSC-H3 €260

It's probably used by all of us, but the important thing is that my mom has to be able to use it.
With or current cheap aldi camera she mostly produces blurry pictures.
Her preference would be the Sony, because it's lighter, so better for her back and neck.
I would like it if i can manually change the shutter time. I know the fuji has that option, but i'm not sure about the sony.
My dad likes the fact that the sony has an aluminum casing.

It's going to be used for all kind of stuff.
indoor/outdoor, family pictures, parties but also for sport pictures like motocross, car races, hovercraft racing and other sports.

The only big difference is the amount of megapixels.
Which one do you think we should buy, or do you know of any competitor in the same price range?
Thanks

for that price have a look for a second hand 9500/9600.you can easily pick one up for that price.i picked upa S9500 in march and its easily the best camera ive owned and according to some pro-photographer guys ive spoke to at trackdays, maybe the best sub DSLR camera around.
also have it up at knockhill so i can say it is fantastic for motorsport although it must be said the focus can take its time so its best to try and think in advance or use the continue focus and follow the car as it approachs.

This one was took using the continue zoom following the car down the hill, this was took without a polarizer(left it at home) and 640 shutter speed(i think) and iso80

These focusing on the cone (was standing at a marshall post so couldnt follow the car into the corner as it would have blocked the view) iso80 again and shutter speed was 125 (i think)

if you can get a polarizer and it can make pictures 100x better

low lighting pics can be a problem though so youll have to play around with alot of settings to try and get it just right.

So what do you think? Bear in mind these were taken with a digital camera not a SLR.

I have no doubt it would be a perfect camera for me, but it's to heavy for my mom.
She gets pain in her shoulders if she carries half a liter of water all day long in her purse.
+ it has no image stabilization, which my mom needs for taking good pictures.
So thanks for the answer, but it's no solution for our situation

AMAZING shots, Speedster. And exige, don't dis pink walls. My walls in NY were pink. But then I moved to an orange room with 2 walls of windows. And the library I'm in has pink walls.

Besides, you wear garishly colored shoes and clothes :P

The kicks came in today. I only get them when I go home for American Thanksgiving though.

Just got my new grips and pedals. The best pedals for the price imo 👍
When the pedals wear down, I'm getting the sealed Animal pedals.
