The Physical Training Thread

Let's see here. I have dropped 12 pounds since Orlando using this really fun diet of beans, lean meat and veggies. Going to the gym 6 nights a week for about 90 minutes a piece. Hired a personal trainer and we work out together twice a week. Lot's of fun had by all!

Tony Horton and his P90X program says they will get me whipped into shape by Silverstar, and if nothing else I can shave my mustache which can't hurt.

Killer Choate! really impressed!

My advice, train with an F1 hopeful and someone who's won against the current F1 World Champion....thats what i'm doing (so fortunate to have such friends)

thx Jonathan 👍

I was fortunate enough to be chosen for a full ride in karting....they chose one other driver as a team-mate shown in this clip. Despite both of us being new to karting, we both managed to get the ride over past champions and veteran drivers and have been friends ever since.

Unfortunately he has no family money and its very difficult to bring American sponsors to Europe and probably more difficult for European companies to consider sponsoring an American. Of course he was the number one pick attached to the USF1 project and Cypher Group F1 project, but these companies didn't make it. Hopefully he has some good news for us soon though

Finally, today my physical training for Silverstone ends. I've worked out every single day (except 2) that I wasn't at the track (and sometimes I was able to go for a run at the track) since the Orlando finals. I've gone as far as 10k (in 46 minutes) and had weight lifting workouts extend to 2 hours. At this point I can bench press 1.4x my weight 3-4 times and do ~20 pull ups (well rested). I hope to run a 5k in around 20 minutes flat.

I've done everything I could possibly do at this point, and hope it's enough - but I know that if I don't make it, I'll be able to live with the fact that I left nothing on the table.

Cheers.

PS - I won't be able to post anything about the results - check it out this fall on Speed.
