If I got stuck talking to her then I blame myself and just attempt to pass out.

I get the joke. The guy in the circle is obviously not the problem here, the one with the gun is clearly the criminal. But for a variety of reasons, SF is presumed to overlook the guy with the gun in favor of someone not wearing a mask - because CA is lenient on crime but tough on covid or something.

But... if you keep looking at that photo....

Who would just stand there next to an armed robber - not even looking at the gunman or appearing concerned in any manner at what was going on? He's like... waiting for his turn at the register or something. I could actually see why police might be looking for the easily identifiable witness, especially one which didn't react that way someone would in this situation. Kinda undermines the joke. Would have been funnier if he'd been partially obscured hiding behind something.

When you compare this picture to the original that @Joey D linked to it becomes increasingly apparent that the right can't PhotoShop, in this case.

To be fair, he is only the height of three... maybe three-and-a-half two-litre drinks bottles. He's probably hoping nobody will see him, and at three feet tall he's got a good shot at it.

Is the irony that they were both in the same profession? Or am I missing the joke?

Inb4 Chrunch says it's funny and that others lack a sense of humor, and then I quote Chrunch saying that and as having said on another occasion that something someone else posted isn't funny and then I post the picture of the monkey puppet with the two looks suggesting a contradiction.
