No. As you posted it in an edit I didn't see it until now. In my opinion comparing what the Chinese are doing now is exactly the same as what the Germans did in the 30's and 40's. And the world is doing exactly the same as back then. Looking away.

The Olympics shouldn't be in Beijing. The same as the Football World Cup in Qatar and F1 in Saudi Arabia. But money comes first and looking away is always easy.

War never helps anyone. It would be wise to not award them with the Olympics in the first place. Or multinationals having all their factories there. They, and the politicians can make a difference. But the rich only want more money, and the politicians can only bend over because of the rubber spines they all have.

If we want to defeat China, then we should stop having all our stuff made there. Just as if we want to reduce Saudi Arabia's influence on the world, then stop having them power our cars.

When you buy something from China, you buy it from a Chinese citizen or a Chinese company (or both), because despite what China claims, it is not communist. When you buy oil from Saudi Arabia, you're more buying it straight from the government. I understand that taxes can help the Chinese government, but it's really not a fair comparison.

Refusing it trade with Chinese people will not help the Uighurs. Refusing to buy from a multinational company like Nike unless they refuse to use Uighur labor might. The more economically isolated China is as a nation, the more authoritarian they're likely to become.
